Cute gift in home store on Main Street in old town, Bellevue. Even though I work in Bellevue, I…read moreprobably haven't been to this neighborhood since before Covid. I used to come down here often but now it takes 20 minutes to get there instead of five in the old days. The window display grabbed my attention because it had a lot of cute new jellycats. Went inside and they had a small section of new Jellycats, picked up two of the Valentine's Day macaroons and looked at a couple others. They had several great sale items at 70% off. Overall, the store is super cute and the owner and the person that were working there were super nice and friendly. I find the other reviews hard to believe but maybe they've changed over the years. Would definitely stop in here again if I was looking for a gift or the latest in JellyCats..

No "hello," no acknowledgment nothing. Almost immediately after, another white customer came in and she greeted her and began helping her right away. The difference in treatment was very noticeable. Throughout the time we were in the store, she kept looking at me in a strange and uncomfortable way. It felt like we were being judged rather than welcomed as paying customers. There was no effort to assist us, check on us, or make us feel comfortable in the space. Customer service should be equal and respectful to everyone who walks through the door. Instead, I left feeling ignored and singled out. I don't take accusations like this lightly, but the experience genuinely felt discriminatory. I hope management takes this seriously and evaluates how customers are being treated. No one should feel unwelcome in a business because of how they look.

This is a shop dedicated to the Washington artisans making awesome, unique goods. This place is…read moregreat for gifts and souvenirs (and much more reasonably priced than the airport kiosks who jack up the price since they know you're a captive audience) from art to food to blankets and tchotchkes. They had samples of tea and coffee to try before committing to an entire bag which is pretty considerate. One of the workers was very helpful in explaining their coffee selection and how it was roasted. Yes, some items still have a mark up, but you're paying for the convenience of all the stuff being in one place. They can't exactly draw you in with a loss leader. I bought some Fran's Gray and Smoked Salt Caramels and I've been slowly enjoying them since!

MADE IN WASHINGTON @ BELLEVUE…read more Made in Washington is located inside Bellevue Square, and mall parking is free in any of the garages. I'd recommend parking under Macy's or H&M. There's usually plenty of parking, but on weekends it can get very busy, so you may have to circle a bit. This was my first time visiting Made in Washington, and it's a great stop if it's your first time in Seattle and you want to check out locally made products. As soon as you walk in, there's a lot of chocolate, along with kitchen décor, lotions, and soaps. Some items are on the pricier side, but there are also more affordable options. My mom and I found a lotion for about $14 that smelled amazing. They also offer plenty of samples, which I really liked. Overall, the value is pretty decent, you'll find some things you love and some you may pass on. The only downside was the customer service. No one greeted or acknowledged us, and it felt like most of the staff stayed behind the register. Despite that, I still had a great experience and would recommend stopping by if you're looking for gifts or products that are made in Washington.

One of the best parts is that they offer fresh samples every day, so you can try different flavors before committing (which is dangerous in the best way because you'll want to buy everything). The freshness really sets them apart, and you can taste the difference compared to typical store-bought chocolate. Definitely a must-visit if you're a chocolate lover or just want a little treat while shopping.

LÄDERACH @ BELLEVUE…read more Parking is available for free at any of the mall's garages! I recommend parking on the Nordstrom side or near Macy's. I've been to this chocolate spot a few times now, but I usually go to the one in San Diego since I go to school there. When I saw that they opened a location in Bellevue Square, I was really excited to try it out. There was a line out the door, but since I came on Black Friday, it was expected to be busier. Once we got inside, we were immediately greeted, and they were handing out samples of their incredible, original chocolate hazelnut. I seriously love it, it's so delicious. The store itself is very small, and there really isn't much room inside. It feels like a tiny little room packed with way too many people. There were people on my left and right the entire time, and it definitely felt over-capacity. The chocolate is on the expensive side, but it makes sense since everything is imported from Switzerland. I ended up buying their mousse chocolate because it was nicely wrapped, a bit cheaper, and perfect as a gift. The worker even let me try one, it was the strawberry one with marshmallow and it was delicious. It was about $30 for seven pieces. The staff is very friendly, and there are a lot of workers walking around checking in and making sure you don't need help. I also love their decor section, they have chocolates shaped like snowmen, Rudolph, Santa, and more. The smaller ones are around $15, and the larger ones go up to about $40. The only thing I don't like is that most of them are hollow. Anything like the Santa or Rudolph figures is completely hollow inside, which feels like a waste of money. The same goes for their advent calendars, if there is something inside, it's usually cream or mousse, not actual chocolate. That's really my only complaint with this company: you're not fully getting your money's worth on those specialty items. Overall, it's still a great place, and I would definitely recommend trying their chocolates. Just be aware that some items are absolutely worth the money and others definitely aren't.
