The lobster bake is definitely a must try. The seafood is so fresh that your taste buds can tell the difference from other average restaurant. The only complain is that the mussels are too sandy, but they taste good anyway. Another thing need to address is that the night we step in late and they closed right after they served our order. All other reviews are accurate; this place has the best Lobster Roll - hands down, delicious! My husband got the 'made to order' roll, which was $2 more; but worth it. We got the fresh halibut fish; lobster and clam rolls. The clam roll comes with the bellies attached, which I personally don't care for, but my husband loved it. Halibut was delicious and the lobster roll was excellent. They also serve sushi; we did not order any; but it looked great and was made fresh onsite. You stand in line and put your order in, then go sit at a picnic table (located in the middle of a parking lot) and wait for them to let you know your order is ready. Went there recently and got the lobster bake and calm plate. Lobster bake was good except for the sand in the steamers. When we ordered I did notice a sign that said no refunds because of sand in the steamers but didn't think anything of it. At home I put them I salt water for a few hours and i don't have any sand in them. The clam plate was disappointing only because of its size. There were about 10 clams in it which is just crazy. I'm used to north of boston portions like those at Kelly's and markey's. Thought it was skimpy for $22. read more

I am a long time patron of the Net Result and have enjoyed fresh fish from here for many years. We ordered takeout from the window tonight which has always been a sure thing, however, this time our experience was disappointing. The lobster rolls consisted only of body meat lacking claw and tail meat. While we were told the meal would be ready in 20 minutes, the calamari tasted as if it had been sitting for at least twenty minutes. It tasted dry and chewy as if it had been under a heat lamp. We will be back for the fresh fish but not the takeout. The service has always been polite and pleasant. read more

The fish here is really first rate, so fresh and prepared perfectly. Portions are pretty large, small serving of fried scallops is like 20 large scallops. Sushi is really delicious, although portions are not quite as large and they don't have a very big selection. Service kind of sucks, they are really rushed and often curt, probably just because this place is always mobbed with people and they never get to close on time. Definitely worth a visit. read more

This is very straightforward clambake food: it's fresh and good. I love the freshly made lobster roll - buttery and good. The lobster meal is good and a good deal locally. For picky/bob fish eaters there are the usual fryer and grill things - chicken fingers, fries, burgers. They even have sushi, which I haven't explored. I usually come when I want a lobster and don't want to make it myself. You can sit outside and eat at the tables (though it gets busy) or take out. I love to buy some chowder and a roll and watch the sunset somewhere. read more

This place was a huge disappointment considering how busy the place was. The chowder was Lukewarm and tasteless without salt and pepper with too many potatoes and too few clams. Tuna roll was dry and the stuff quahog was very similar to the chowder, tasteless, bland and it doesn't come with butter!!! You must pay $1 extra for butter with quahog. I had to dip my stuffed quahog in my chowder to moisten it. Maybe they just can't handle to volume. read more

I was really disappointed with The Net Result after all the great reviews. The prices were steep for the amount of food received. We got two lobster rolls, two clam chowders, a lobster bisque, a fish sandwich, two crab cakes and two french fries for... $75. The portions were minuscule and they actually forgot one of our clam chowders (we only discovered the missing clam chowder once we were back in Edgartown :( ). Everything fit into a very small bag. The food was not bad, but it was not good either and the portions were a little crazy. I do not expect or want massive portion sizes, but I ended up needing an evening snack. The crab cakes had a ridiculous amount of filler and the lobster roll was pretty standard. The clam chowder was also unremarkable. All in all, the food did not live up to the hype. read more

Much anticipated fried clams were just OK--below average compared to similar places. Lobster roll with melted butter was a big mistake. We ordered a lobster roll($17, good amount of lobster, flavour was ok), clam chowder (wonderful), a plate of sashimi ($19, good quality), and a plate of steamed clams ($9). The problem is with the clams - there is a warning that you can't return the clams if it contains grits. Ok, I understand that from time to time the clams might be dead and can't spit out the grits. However, this place offers steamed clams without any process - meaning they do not sock clams in clear water ahead to clear the grits. When we got our order, each clam contained tons of grits in it that we had to throw the whole plate away. Our mouth had so much grits that we had to keep spitting... I think the place shouldn't offer this on their menu if they dont have time to process the clams... Avoid it at all cost! read more

Great place for a casual lunch. There were four of us, and we all ordered the butter lobster roll. The roll was filled with BIG pieces of buttered lobster - no mayo, just delicious lobster on a perfectly grilled roll. The dining area is outside on picnic tables with umbrellas. Good seafood, the quality was fine. Here's the problem......I don't like being lied to. There were 3 pieces of tuna on display and I was hoping for a darker piece. When I asked the girl at the counter to cut a fresh piece that was a bit darker she told me that was all that they had. I had trouble believing that, but she insisted that was it. I reluctantly took the tuna on display. I left and immediately called and asked if they had 6 or 7 pounds available and I was told "no problem". Again, I said I'd have the hot buttered lobster roll that they were advertising on a special sign. Received the item, unwrapped it and found a cold lobster roll with congealed butter on it. Clearly not fresh, wondered when they made it. Went back and after waiting politely for some time told them that the hot lobster roll was cold. She handed it back to the unhappy looking cook. This place came recommended to us so couldn't wait to dive into a yummy lobster roll. We ordered ahead of time so we could take them to the beach with us. When I called, I asked if they put celery on the lobster rolls, since I HATE celery. The woman on the phone told me 'no', it was just lobster on a hot dog roll with a little mayo. Fantastic, I thought as nothing ruins a good lobster roll like celery. I placed an order for 5, then picked up the rolls about 20 minutes later and didn't think I needed to verify that the rolls were made as advertised. When we got to the beach, my heart sank as I unravelled the cellophane from the roll and lots of those dreaded green pieces of celery popped out from the lobster. YUCK! So how does "no, we don't use celery" turn into dozens of little chunks of the stuff on all 5 of them. Sure it's summer on the island and good help is hard to find, but please don't lie to customers. There are a lot of other great options for lobster rolls on MV, and I'd recommend that you try them all before diving in at The Net Result. read more

Someone recommended The Net Result restaurant to us so we gave it a try. The clam chowder, lobster bisque, and sushi were okay. But the fried fish (fish & chips), scallops and calamari were all over cooked (dry, chewy, yuck) and not edible. The manager replaced them; they were cooked better the second time. Still not great. I think they didn't change the cooking oil because it still had a look and taste of overused cooking oil. The swordfish sandwich was dry and not tasty either. I would not pass on the recommendation to eat here. Maybe it's better in the off season. We were there for the 2016 Fourth of July weekend. read more

This is the best place to buy raw seafood to take home and cook. You can also order from the takeout menu and eat it on the park benches just outside the store. It is well lit and is the cleanest seafood market I've ever seen. They have the #2 best lobster roll on the island next to Menemsha Galley which is #1. We also had the clam chowder (3rd after #1 Menemsha Galley's and #2 State Road's which are less creamy). The chowder here is creamy much like most places on the island. The fried shrimp plate was good but The Bite has better fried shrimp [and clams]. They overcooked our lobster bake and the clams were really sandy as if just dug out and not cleaned. If I lived on the island, I would probably come here every so often since it is a good value for quality of seafood. But this is not a vacation destination if you're only here for a weekend. Since we were here a week, we gave it a go and it was just ok. read more

One day we had them prepare our food (chowder, bisque, fish sandwiches and lobster rolls). Which everyone was pleased with their food.
