Came here for coffee but this time I ended up with a flavored lemonade drink and while it's made with Minute Maid lemonade, it really hit the spot since there are constant heat waves these days. I loved the patio area which I seem to have never sat on before which is weird because there is so much space out there. They were also setting up for live music and you can never go wrong with that.

Absolutely love what they do for the creative community here in Fullerton. They offer a great variety of events and open mic nights that welcome artists of all skill levels, which makes the space feel inclusive and inspiring. The coffee, teas, and treats are all delicious, and the staff truly stand out. They're friendly, supportive, and have become real hometown heroes for everything they contribute to the community. The service is consistently excellent. The café itself is cozy, warm, and has that classic mom-and-pop charm that makes you want to stay awhile. Be sure to check out their open mic nights for poetry, music, and all kinds of creative expression, it's definitely a special spot. I just LOVE coming here!!! If I could just change ONE thing... it would be their hours! I wish they stayed open later... Other than that I just love it here!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great inviting vibe, from the mismatched old wooden furniture to the vintage lighting, to the setup for open mic night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered an ice honeybee latte from the special menu with whole milk. Very refreshing and just the right level of sweetness. They have pastries from Homeboy Bakery. They looked fantastic but I wasn't hungry, having just eaten recently. Next time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at the table for two at the front window which had perfect natural lighting to read. Fun people watching there too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This coffee shop is such a vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's got a naturally dark and spooky ambiance. It's still very trendy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The coffee drinks are fun. They have such unique coffee flavors! The banana bread latte tastes EXACTLY like banana bread. It's wild to be honest!! If you love banana bread, this is it! Order this one! You will love it. I also tried the iced pumpkin spice latte. It was very strong on the coffee flavor, and not nearly enough pumpkin or spice. lol I wanted more sugar and flavor in this drink. They also have some baked good. I haven't been able to try then out just yet. I want to though! They look really good. For some reason, I come here not hungry lol Usually just looking for some coffee haha Service is always great. The cashier/ barista was very friendly and down to earth. Love that!

This is a cozy, old-school coffee shop. The interior is dark and relaxing, with sunlight streaming in through the windows and spotlighting the owl figures on the windowsill. There are a good number of indoor tables and seats, as well as some outdoor seating. The samoa latte (if I recall the name correctly) was delicious. It was a nice sweet treat with a good level of chocolate flavor to tongue. The barista who helped us was super friendly! We felt very welcomed from beginning to end. It is also amazing that this spot apparently hosts open mic events! We were told that they love supporting the local community and music scene that way. We're looking forward to returning for that as well.

The service was amazing and so so sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I arrived earlier than when they open at 9 am - online it says 8 am but the owner let me in because of my doggy Luna (Dogs are also allowed inside)![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do a lot of music or live events (posters/flyers were everywhere) and the ambiance was so awesome![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a Banana Bread Latte with soy milk and a cinnamon roll, and both were so good. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick trip, a study session or for any live events they have. Thank you again Joe!

EXCEPTIONAL! I just started teaching at FCC and enjoy learning about the community I'm in so I asked one of my students who shared they love coffee what his go to place was and he sent me here! This recommendation is definitely earning him an "A" ;) (jk, jk). I've stopped by twice and have not been disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Night Owl is small but this doesn't take away from how inviting it is, in fact I think it's inviting in how cozy it seems.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the maple iced coffee on one visit and the banana nut latte on another. Oh, I also treated myself to one of their chocolate chip cookies (not warmed up) and it took me back to the cookies I used to buy in high school from the cafeteria! So damn good! And the service! The same person has taken my order both times and he is sooo friendly, so personable. I haven't worked through my awkwardness yet so it's on me that I didn't get his name, I will on another visit. I like my drink with some flavor but not sugary and both time that I've asked for "light syrup" he's said "our espresso is so great I try to balance that out" and you know what, he is a master at his craft! I'm looking forward to many more visits for the rest of the semester!

I Waited over 30 minutes for this, and it was a complete waste of time and money. The "green tea latte" tasted like watered-down milk with a green tea bag! Absolutely no matcha flavor, and the color was completely off. I don't understand how they're selling this as a matcha latte when there's clearly no matcha in it. Very disappointing! Definitely would not recommend this place!

Came to The Night Owl for a show and had a great time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small, cozy venue with a laid-back vibe--perfect for a relaxing Sunday evening of live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is very limited, so I recommend bringing your own chair to stay comfy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun spot for music lovers[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here for a pick me up on 4th of July. The person helping me was very patient and sweet as I kept asking about the milk calories. I got the banana latte and my bf got a mocha. I did like mine it was very strong and it did the job, I asked for it half sweetened. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was so cute they have live music and book clubs. Very cute place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We stopped in Night Owl for the first time for some of their unique latte flavors. I tried the spiced maple latte and , while it was good, I wish the flavoring was stronger. Staff were extremely friendly! I was greeted within seconds of walking in the door and had my drink in hand a few minutes later. The owl theming is very fun, with lots of hand drawn owls and kitschy owly tchotchkes. I saw that they have a small back area for outdoor seating (with dogs!) available.

Great coffee venue near Cal State Fullerton and other local schools. We came here for a coffee run and stayed to enjoy the music. It seems like a great spot for students to study, as there were many in groups and also singles with their laptops out and coffees at hand. They have live music on occasions and post about the upcoming shows regularly. We will be back to enjoy the coffee and listen to some local bands play.

Do not spend a single dollar here. Allergen requests ignored, orders wrong, zero accountability…read more If you have a food allergy, do not eat here. Full stop. The written menu advertises nondairy milk and ingredient modifications, but the kiosk doesn't actually let you select any of them. Staff told us to put substitutions in "special comments" and promised they'd be honored. They weren't- on a single order, twice. We ordered two coffees (oat milk, whole milk) and two customized breakfast burritos. It took 40 minutes. We were the only customers in the cafe. When the food came out, nothing was labeled / not the drinks, not the burritos- and staff couldn't tell us which was which. When I explained that one of us has a dairy allergy and asked them to identify the allergen-free items, I got a blank stare. We opened both burritos: both had cheese, despite my explicit no-cheese request. Their solution? "Can you pick it out?" No. You cannot pick out melted cheese from an allergen order. I was not offered a fresh burrito, just another blank stare until I specifically stated "I need you to remake this with the proper ingredients and confirm what you put in." Once again the burrito came out with no label, and when I asked for clarity on what was in it I was again met me with a blank stare. My partner's burrito was also wrong (pico she'd asked to have removed), but by then the 40-minute wait had made her late for work. When I asked for a refund on her incorrect meal, I was told they couldn't refund it "because she left." When I asked to leave written feedback: "we don't accept written feedback." Manager? Not in. Manager's phone number? Don't have it. But here's what pushed this from bad service to abominable: there is no way to hold this place accountable. At no point did anyone acknowledge a mistake had been made or make any real attempt to fix it- every wrong order was met with a shrug and the expectation that I'd just live with it. When I asked to leave written feedback, I was told they don't accept it. When I asked for the manager, they weren't in. When I asked for a manager's phone number or someone to contact, the employee "didn't have access to that." A business that serves people with food allergies MUST have a way for customers to flag problems in real time and reach management. This place has built a system where mistakes can't be reported, refunds can't be issued, and no one is responsible for anything. To be clear, this isn't on the line staff - one employee clearly hadn't been given the language support or training to succeed, and that's a management failure. The other younger employee was just incompetent and unhelpful, even though she was clearly aware of the requests. If you advertise allergen accommodations, you have to execute them, label them, and answer for it when you don't. Until this place fixes its ordering system, its labeling, and its total lack of accountability, spend your money literally anywhere else.

I stopped by around 2 p.m. on a Sunday and the shop was still pretty busy with people chatting, hanging out, and getting some work done. Parking is pretty tight, so that's something to keep in mind. The employees were nice and our drinks came out quickly. I got the Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk and Vanilla Bean Syrup based on other Yelpers' recommendations, and I really enjoyed it! The vanilla bean was a nice addition to the matcha, especially since it has a slightly more bitter, grassy flavor on its own. Overall, it was really balanced and something I'd order again. My partner got the Iced Vanilla Latte, which was also well balanced--not too strong or bitter and not overly sweet. A little simple for my taste, but still good! The menu felt a little limited and took me a minute to figure out when I first looked online, but I think this is one of those spots where you find your favorites after a few visits or looking into what others enjoy. I'll definitely be back to try something new!
