My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a quiet Monday morning. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in. The Nook had a nice ambiance to it and everyone working there seemed so happy. My wife ordered the Greek omelette and I ordered the banana walnut pancakes with a side of sausage. We shared a cup of fruit. You have the option of ordering one, two, or three, pancakes. I can eat with the best of them and often think it's my last meal before the electric chair. The waitress advised me to stick with two since the pancakes were the size of a large plate. She was right and I'm glad I listened. As coffee snobs, my wife and I thought the coffee was very good. Did I mention they offer real maple syrup for an additional charge? They do and we took advantage of it. It's worth it. My wife loved her omelette. She believed it might have been the tastiest and best looking omelette she's ever had and seen. She couldn't finish it. My pancakes were as advertised. Two large plate size pancakes topped with plenty of bananas and the right amount of walnuts baked in. The fruit cup consisted of all fresh fruit and nothing canned. The sausage consisted of 4 thin tasty links. The service was excellent and friendly. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food offered. There was ample street parking around the Nook and it's located in downtown Dover. I don't say this often nor lightly but if you're in town for breakfast, this is a "must do." read more

Great food, fun and wonderful staff, and added bonus of blankets! As someone who is always cold, these fleece blankets are perfect! Cleaned after every use and always neatly rolled near the entrance. I always recommend this place! Also have a great selection of gluten free options! Plenty of vegetarian as well! read more

Nook is a great little place to grab a breakfast but is just a little lacking for those little bit of extra that could really set it apart. Their price point is pretty nice, coming out between 10-15 dollars per person. The wait staff is very attentive and always about, but our bill came before we were finished which makes you feel a little bit rushed. The wait time is really never too bad, except for holidays like mothers and fathers day. The food is quite filling but can be a little lackluster. It's not bad food but it's not something that I'd tell someone " you have got to try this place", its breakfast food. Overall I would say that Nook hits a lot of the right notes when it comes to a great breakfast place but needs just a little tweaking in order to really push it to that 5 star status. read more

Clean and bright, friendly waitstaff, and exactly the kind of food you want in a Sunday morning. Now about the food; I was a bit disappointed , I had the Greek omelet and it was a bit bland, the spinach was watery and the inside of the omelet was under cooked, the home fries were a disaster, boiled potatoes, sliced, spiced but not a trace of browning on the grill. Hubby and I tried this place out last Saturday for brunch. Our breakfast brunch was very very good, delicious! We were impressed! The atmosphere was clean, light and friendly and welcoming. Very spacious. Deceiving from the outside. They follow CDC guidelines during this pandemic and everyone was spaced apart and socially distanced. The waitstaff was very friendly and welcoming! What a wonderful surprise. We arrived mid-morning and were pleased that the menu offered both breakfast and lunch options. Our very affable and knowledgeable server Lynda guided us patiently through our many options. In the end, I opted for a bacon cheeseburger which was thick, juicy and cooked perfectly (medium rare) to order on a toasted bun. The massive pile of crispy onion rings was a perfect side. Glancing around the cafe', it's clear you can't go wrong no matter what you choose. We live an hour away but will certainly find future opportunities to come back. First time at The Nook since it changed from Week's. Was not impressed by any means. Got the sausage biscuits and gravy and a side of homemade hash. The gravy was flavorless and the hash was dry and again flavorless. The sausage and gravy also had a side home fries were undercooked and again flavorless. The coffee was terrible, tasted old and burnt. To top everything off the menu advertised the food at one price and the check said another. I would waste your time coming here anytime soon. Against my own advice I gave it another shot and got delivery. No improvement and was missing part of the order. Seriously Nook step it up and get the orders right!! read more

For travelers who like authentic, I asked for Valentina hot sauce (those from California will know) and they had it for my already eggcellent burrito. Bottomless iced tea and coffee. The inside has been updated, looks bright, cheery and clean! The food is always good here. Used to be called Weeks, but I think ownership changed. The food is still consistently really good there. First impressions go a long way. Walked into the restaurant the waitress at the door looked up at us like she didn't want to be bothered. We were the only customers. She came took our order. The coffee tasted like dirty water. A different waitress brought us our food and just looking at it we knew it wasn't going to go well. The home fries were burnt little pieces of potatoes with a few rubbery ones thrown in for good measure. Tried a bite of one and they had a flavor that made me think they didn't bother to wash them first. My boyfriend's scrambled eggs would have bounced higher then a bouncy ball from a vending machine. My Western omelet was so over cooked I got a workout cutting through it. The best part of the breakfast was my hash and toast and his pancakes. When we were done the waitresses who never even came back to see how we were doing because they were gossiping at the counter the whole time, saw we were done and didn't even come to give us our check. We had to get up and go to her. $30 for 2 breakfast that were poorly cooked was not worth it at all. read more
