two pool tables and a television

I love The Notch after a long hike in the Uintas. The food is delicious - the Mac and cheese is a must! Their options of burgers are so good and then smoke them there at the restaurant. There's a large back patio, indoor seats, bar seating, and a like screen in patio area. They also have pool tables as well. Service is great - friendly and funny.

Nice cozy, country, casual restaurant off the beaten path in Kamas with different burgers, smoked wings and ribs n stuff. Good service.

Excellent!! Great stop!! Nice and a usual. We sat outside (memorial day weekend) - We were touring Kamas and local area. Some local friends have told us to stop there for the wings -- and they were great...we got Thai and barbecue style as well as the queso cheese (it was devine) with homemade chips!! We ordered 2 vegetable quesadillas... which were all hot and fresh. We also got several kito amber beers. There was a new server name Tarra, she was awesome and very attentive. We all commented on how important a good server is and she was great!! I begged to take a picture of her so we could memorialize our visit and thank her for being so great!

We pass this little joint every time we head into the Uintas but never stopped in. Of all the times to dine at a restaurant, we finally dropped in. They were closing in 15 but let us take the only outdoor table in the front (Covid safe). Our server wore a bandana and was super chill. The pilsner hit the spot after our 4- hour hike. So did the Philly sandwich and fries. The fries and service were great. The sandwich could have used more meat and green peppers (they used green chilis only) as it was all bun. Their Covid hours are a bit wonky so check on your way to your hike while you still have cell reception so you aren't disappointed when you stop back later. We'll definitely use this as a place to end the day with a toast. They have free wifi too!

What a fun off the road place...definitely a pub, but I was pleasantly surprise at how good everything was. And service was good too, thanks Carson! Their chicken caesar wrap was really good and so was their cross cut sweet potato fries. Hubby had the burger with coleslaw and said it was good to. Looking forward to coming back, especially when they have live music as well as for the games!

Beast burger top, blue cheese and bacon burger bottom and some fried pickles

After a day on the reservoir, we hunted for a place to eat and this menu looked intriguing. We sat out on the patio which was very dog friendly and needed a place we could take the pup. My friends had the Beast burger and loved it. The homemade potato chips were a HIT! I had a regular burger and it was delicious as well. We are so glad we happened upon this place with its friendly service, fresh food, and patio appeal!

They offered a curbside service in 2020 that was very popular but have discontinued that venture but reopened the beautiful upstairs dining room and bar, with a magnificent view of the Kamas Valley. As they start to emerge from the COVID crisis, the menu is still somewhat basic, and they do not appear to have a full-time chef or even much kitchen staff. I've only eaten lunch there, so it may be different in the evening. If you calibrate your expectations towards a beautiful place to sit and talk and eat bar food style fare, then you'll get that for which you went. I'd go more for the atmosphere than the food right now. They seem to be focused on catering events, for which they are wonderfully suited. They also appear to be just nursing the restaurant along, using the super friendly and engaged service staff for the double duty of cooking and serving and playing it safe until the economy supports more investment in their restaurant. We still go there when we're in the mood for what they offer. I hope to upgrade my rating as they restore their business back to its former state, which I fully expect. They seem to be good business people balancing keeping the doors open and not losing money so they have a healthy business to bring the full staff back to once sanity is restored.

But the service was awful! We walked in around 2 or so for lunch on a Monday. It was crowded. Several staff walked past us waiting at the counter for a seat and didn't say a peep to us. Finally a woman appeared and said she'd be with us shortly. She came back and when it asked if we could sit on the patio she told me it was closed because in the morning it had been cold. It was in the 70's at 2pm?! She sat us at a table next to a support beam and it felt very tight. Chairs were not very comfortable and the table was wobbly. It was very warm in the restaurant and very loud. We sat for 15-20 minute without a single person acknowledging us. I was about to get up and leave when finally a waitress came for our order. My husband enjoyed his Back 40 burger commenting on how juicy it was but expected more flavor. I ordered a Garden salad which was really good. Carrots were huge, tomatoes were yummy and like I said earlier the greens were so crisp and so fresh. My daughter had the chicken tenders and seriously the chicken was so tender and tasted fresh unlike grocery store chicken. The views are amazing!
