We were looking for something different and quick in Thousand Oaks... And we thought we'd try this new place... And we are SO GLAD we did!! We walked in and were seated immediately. The menu is illustrated... That helps with food choices. All the spicy selections are marked... Although our Cashew Nuts chicken had a little zip to it. The food was served steaming hot within 10 minutes of our ordering! The pad Thai was our favorite, and the Thai Iced Tea was yummy too... Just the right amount of sweetness. One couple came in for an online order that was waiting for them when they arrived. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. First time in. Fast, friendly service. Lots of tables and can accommodate a few large groups. Ordered spring rolls for appetizers plus pineapple fried rice and cashew nuts chicken. First time here, I've been seeing this place around and I live near here so me and my partner decided to make a stop here. Walked in, it was cool and refreshing to walk into on a hot day. I also saw its a family restaurant which I adore. We ordered the duck curry, pad soon sen and the fish cake appetizer. Duck curry was amazing. I wasn't really expecting much cause duck is really hard to make if not done properly. The roasted duck flavor was there and was also submerged in the flavorful curry. Pad Woon Sen to me is typically not as flavorful but wanted to see the standard flavor cause we all know what a Pad Thai tastes like. It was great, light, with right amount of flavor. And perfect for my going diet. Fish cakes are bomb if you're southeast asian that grew up with cha and cha lua. Dipping sauce was fantastic with the fish cake. This place truly serves great quality Thai cuisine. The pad thai is phenomenal. The sauces authentic. The prices a tad higher than expected but it's worth it for the amount of food you get (many entrees can easily serve 2). Even keeping the rice on the side makes sense. I'm sure there are lots of folks in this town looking to eliminate carbs, it eliminates waste, and keeps servings fresh. It's a shame it's in such a bad location. From the time it was a hair salon to the Asian establishments in between, nothing seems to last there long. It should be in a more accessible spot when driving or walking there. It would surely be packed if were in the Janss marketplace. I imagine the rent is much higher there. Will real estate strike the little guy with a great idea again? I hope not. read more

My mom had been wanting to try this out. Since we noticed it got a name change. We finally got the chance to last night. We tried three different things so we could taste a variety. My mom said her Thai tea was amazing and strong (you can see by the orange-ish color in the drink pic). My mom really wanted the hot pot because of all the seafood variety inside of it. But in my opinion, it had a lot of mushroom and not too much soup, but it did have a lot of seafood for those of you who love seafood. We love the pad-kee mao and the combination fried rice and we gobbled it all up. The servers were extra attentive and very friendly and came to checking on us. Several times. They brought us a jug of water, but also also came to refill our waters themselves with a pitcher. The establishment with very clean And also the restrooms. Plenty of parking. I heard they reopened as a Thai place as opposed to the phò and sushi place. We heard they have lunch specials so decided that'd be a good way to try it out. He got the curry lunch and I got the cashew chicken lunch. They were both... fine. Nothing special. We were one of two in there at about 1:30 on a week day. I hope more people will try them out. The service was good and the food came out quickly. The regular iced tea was very good. Tried this place with a coworker on our way back to our side of town and both of us can't wait to go back! The flavors were exactly on point, and everything I wanted! Perfect level of spice in the pad Thai, perfect amount of noodle/everything else ratio, and their cream cheese wontons are craveably excellent as well! The only thing I would change is their Thai spicy soup uses their bbq pork, and the corn syrup from the bbq pork sweetens the whole soup, and overpowers the spicy. We were able to ask for extra limes to try to dull the sweetness out, but it would be better made without it. read more

The first thing I noticed was the lovely interior. I must recommend the chicken satay at this location as it was very flavorful and juicy. I shared the Thai fried rice with chicken and the sizzling seafood. The rice was lacking some in flavor but the seafood was well spiced and palatable. I didn't take note of the names of the dishes, and everything I tried was tasty. Whoever ordered the Pad Thai said it was delicious. The mango sticky rice was very good as well. I wonder why rice is not included with the curries. I ordered Panang Curry and rice had to be ordered separately. First, the service was AWFUL! The server could not have been more unpleasant. It's just not what we're looking for when we go out. The food was mediocre at best. The pad kee mao (drunken noodles) were all broken up and mushy (see photo). Very light on the vegetables, but ample protein. I'd rather have lots of veg. There were slices of green chilies in it, but not Thai chilis... maybe serrano? The cashew nut chicken was almost entirely chicken and mushrooms and the sauce was dark red! There should be lots of vegetables in this dish and everywhere else I've gotten it, the sauce was light brown. The big bowl of rice (extra $) was total mush. Strangly, the decor and bar menu were all Japanese. No Singha. Not going again. So dissappointing! read more

Upon entering the restaurant a woman at the very far end of the room turned and yelled at me "fo here or to go". No welcome, no smile, just barking. As I was waiting for my food I saw another couple come in and they were treated the same way. I talked with them, they said they were regulars and this woman is new, they're usually nicer here. I wish I could've seen that. I ordered three different dishes and all of them were very dry. The Larb chicken did not have any flavor and the chicken was dried out. The pineapple fried rice dish was dry, the complete dish, not just the chicken. The Pad-See-Ew was exactly the same way, very dry. I don't know if they expected me to take it home and use a lot of soy sauce on it or not, I did not even eat my leftovers it was that bad. read more
