Newer restaurant next to the hotel I stayed at. Had two meals here and both were good. Family owned business and fairly certain one of the owner daughters was our waitress. The service was really outstanding. Constantly checked in on us, made sure drinks constantly filled and regularly updated us on our food. Got the sirloin stroganoff and roasted Brussel sprouts. Both dishes were good. Sprouts were exceptional and the stroganoff was very solid. Steak was cooked perfectly and nice and tender. Location is nice with outdoor dining near the water. Nice atmosphere, good food, outstanding service. Look forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu. read more

In a very sweet spot down by the "marina"/water. We made a reservation online for 4 people around dinner time. We came early so there was not too long of wait but as soon as we sat, people just kept piling in, which is a good sign. Our first time and we chose to sit outside, it was very nice. All staff were very attentive and friendly. Cheese curds were tasty, you should order them. Food that we ordered were all just okay. Nothing extra special, which is okay! We had reservations, and it seemed like they were not prepared for us to be there even though it wasn't super busy. We had to wait for a while to even get our table. Went to the OC for the first time. Celebrating a special occasion. Had the sautéed "red" shrimp. I don't think it was red shrimp and the pasta dish was not good, in my opinion. The manager came by and asked how it was. I was honest. He did offer for me to pick something else but we waited so long for our food and my husband was almost done eating that I didn't want something else. He also said they were taking the dish off the menu. My husband liked his meal so that was good. It's such a nice venue that I hope they are successful but if a dish isn't good and you know it take it off or at least worn customers it's not a popular choice. IDK.... I have visited The OC 3 times in the last couple months. Every time has been great. The service was exceptional, The food was great. Great salads. Also the Smoked Pasta was exceptional in terms of a deep, rich flavor. It is also a terrific building with an very cool outdoor patio. Came here around 8pm on a Friday. Ordered the deep fried walleye that came with vegetable of the day which was baby carrots covered in a sugar glaze and French fries. The fish was undercooked, no crust from the deep fryers at all. It was pretty soggy and sad. Not to mention I had a couple fish bones stuck in between my teeth which was fun trying to pick out. The French fries were probably the best thing I had. The sugar glaze on the carrots became too sweet after awhile. My partner got one of the pasta dishes which was pretty good. I'd still prefer Olive Garden over it for portion size and price. The service was alright. Waited 20 minutes for the check after we ate which is really irritating after a mediocre overpriced meal. I ordered a beer and my partner ordered a martini which didn't come out until the meal. I saw the bartender make it and leave it at the bar until the server came to grab it. Waited 15 minutes for the food so I watched my drink sit there for awhile. I didn't want to be rude and go ask if it was ours. There is little to no chance of me coming back. The bill was about $60. Parker John's, Millions Crab, and The Bar are some better options for quality of food and price point. Take notes! Only reason it's a 2 star instead of 1 is because the location is nice. read more

We had reservations and it still took 1 1/2 hours to get our food. The food was mediocre. 3 in our party had the filet and all wanted medium rare. None of them were medium rare. They went from too rare to well done. The waitress acted like she didn't want to be there and barely came to the table. One person in our party said the steak was too dry from being over cooked so she had to send it back but the waitress was no where to be found. She finally found someone and the steak was sent back. This is a great location. The signage is difficult to read from the road, if I had not found the restaurant on Yelp, I would not have known it even existed. I had made my reservation a few days prior to arriving there, and then the people at the hotel also recommended it. We were there on a weeknight during the summer. We chose to sit inside, where there was a light crowd. The outside is very nice and had more people out there. The atmosphere was great! As far as the menu, we were about 50-50 on our food. I ordered a flatbread appetizer and did not care for it at all. I barely even ate it. My family loved the brussels sprouts and they loved what they ordered for their meals. My daughter ordered the gluten-free pasta and she enjoyed that quite a bit! My husband loved his meal as well. He got the tuna dinner. I was disappointed in my food, but perhaps just made a poor menu choice since they all raved about theirs. Service was great from start to finish! I would definitely go back. read more

Made a reservation thru Open Table and the waitress checking us in had no Idea how to handle that. Then she later was asked what something was and she said it was a paste; turns out it was a type of pasta. The food was the best quality and has so much flavor. I got the filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus and my husband got the halibut. The halibut was amazing as well and so fresh. The indoor seating was nice, but the outdoor seating has a beautiful view of the water with shade as well. They have outdoor games and live music (at least in the warm season). We had a reservation for 6:30. Got seated and placed our drink order and food order. Took 20 minutes for our drinks to show up. My wife's drink was wrong so had to go to the bar myself and get a new one and ordered another beer. Food still hadn't come by 7:30. Ordered another beer for my buddy and it came and was the wrong flavor - that was actually the third time they made a mistake on the drinks. Waitress kept telling us the food was on its way. After seeing 4 other tables getting served(they sat down after us) we decided to leave at 8pm - 1.5 hours after reservation. On our way out told the waitress we were leaving and left $20 on the table. She quickly asked if she could check our bar tab. Came back and told us it was $20.06 and my wife told her $20 would cover it. First time in 35yrs I got up and left a restaurant without being served food. Never offered a free drink and never saw management to explain what was going on. Will never return. read more
