I had the best experience here. I came in not knowing the first thing about an oil change as my husband always did them or took the car in for me. I came in and talked to a man by the name of Steve, I have to say this man was a true gem, he told me about all the do's and don't and reassured me I was doing fine. After faithfully going to 7 Flags in Fairfield for years with my family vehicles I was faced with an issue when they couldn't figure out how to change the oil on my sealed transmission on my (new to me) Grand Am. I took a chance on this place because I wasn't sure on where else to go. My dad said good things about this place so I took his advice. I wasn't disappointed. Steve (the manager) told me that my oil was great and didn't need to be changed. He taught me how to turn off the oil light that sometimes acts up and goes on for no reason. He didn't charge me a dime and even tried to go above and beyond to fix my windshield wipers. You can tell these guys really care about you and aren't out to get your wallet. I'm sold! Around 6 years ago two of my guy friends taught me how to change the oil on my old '99 Corolla. With just under 10 years of experience working in dealership service departments, it's information that has also been easy for me to retain. Fast forward to today and the Corolla can be found in front of my parents house where my younger brother uses it to get around. With a newer car (and my car wise boyfriend telling me things may not be as easy with it) I decided to take it here to make sure things went as they were supposed to. I'd actually been here before. The last time was many years ago though and they didn't have my old file in the system anymore. No problem! Tracy got all my info plugged in while Charles got things started under the car. During the whole process Tracy and I chatted about everything from it being Friday the 13th to our children's reactions to their first days of school. She was really easy to talk to and made things pleasant and enjoyable. My 5 year old daughter was in the backseat and wanted to say hi to Tracy too (she's a very friendly little miss!). Tracy was super sweet to my little girl and let her pick out a sticker from a pad of Hello Kitty stickers she had in the back. Needless to say, my daughter can't wait for 5,000 miles to pass so she can come back here for more stickers and shmoozing. When everything was said and done my oil change (4.5 qts for a 2.4L engine) came out to $40.23. A big savings from what I was paying at the hell hole known as Momentum Toyota. I was in and out in 10-15 minutes and got smiles and thank yous from Tracy and the lube tech, Charles. Sure, I could have gone online and figured out how to change the oil on my '09 Camry and done all the work myself, but I wouldn't feel as confident doing so. I trust this place and only stopped coming here when an employee yelled at me for misinterpreting his hand signals. I'll assume that big bully is gone now and as long as everyone is as wonderful as Tracy and Charles, I'll continue bringing my car here. It's worth mentioning again that if you save up 10 of their receipts you get a free oil change! That's my kind of business! This place is just great. I've been coming here since I start driving so about ten years or so. The staff is friendly and the best part about it is that I usually don't have to wait longer than 10 minutes to get my car into the pit to get it worked on. I just went the other day and it's nice because the lady there that writes down my info and takes the payment always remembers me. It's the little things that count! The oil change itself takes anywhere from 10-15 minutes. I just stay seated in my car and when it's all done I go off and that's that. This was possibly the easiest oil change I've ever experienced. I pulled up and was guided into the bay by an employee. I shut off the engine and walked into the waiting area/register to a very simple, no-frills menu of their options as well as pricing. I told the employee the type of oil I needed (high-mileage) and he did a little pecking away and the mechanic got started. I also asked to have the air filter replaced and his reply was "he'll check it in a minute and if it should be replaced, we'll let you know, but if it was replaced recently (I had told him I got the car fairly recently) then I might not need one. Wow. Hats off to not just grabbing the easy sell. About a minute later, the mechanic entered with the old filter which was black and completely caked with sediment, and then suggested I throw a new one in. I told him to go ahead and he was off again. About 15 minutes later, the mechanic came back in and said the car was about done but it was missing a transmission dipstick so he couldn't check the transmission level. Evidence he was actually doing everything he was supposed to. I paid up and was on my way. The staff was very friendly and added me to their system directly by computer instead of having me fill out this long sheet to input my information because, as one employee said to the other who asked if I needed a clipboard with the paperwork on it, "I'm here, I'll just input it all directly." Nice! It's the little things, you know? The experience was smooth and hassle-free. All said, it was less than 30 minutes for the whole service. I checked after and they topped off the windshield fluid. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because this place definitely isn't the cheapest oil change in town. For the synthetic, high-mileage oil change and 19-dollar filter, I spent about 85 dollars (2-dollar coupon through yelp!). You can get a similar service for 60 or 70 if you shop around or 40 if you're willing to do it yourself. It was the convenience I payed the premium for today, but the experience was fast, easy and clearly done as advertised (letting me know he couldn't check the transmission fluid because of the missing dipstick). I wouldn't hesitate to go back to the oil connection in the future. read more

I am scoring mostly their customer service. What I can say is the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The service was lightning fast 5-10 minutes at most. I brought my own oil (I am super picky about this) and filter ahead, and I drove off paying a cool $20. My complaint is she gave me a tag that planned my next oil change in 5,000 - I use full synthetic and have always gone 7,000 - I didn't want to correct or argue, but I was curious why she did this? That's the only question I have with the business. It usually takes my dad and I one hour to change the oil. While we smash under a low Civic on a jack and are left with quarts of nasty oil to dump.
