The "salad" literally looked like it was straight out of a bag from Walmart. No fresh cut tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, nothing. Only Lettuce cut up out of a bag. That's it! Haven't been to a Spaghetti Factory in a long time. Food was good. Like all others I've been to. Was a bit worried after all the negative reviews. Only real negative issues was the location. Still respectable businesses, restaurants, etc but a lot of homeless around the area. A guy passed out on the sidewalk a half block away. Pretty trashy streets. Inside was the typical OSF decor and hostesses and wait staff, who were awesome. Food was about a 3.5 and service a 5. Only critique, the salad could be fresher and not drenched in dressing. They do the basics right - you won't find pasta handmade from scratch, but their sauces are tasty, portions are plentiful and filling, and you get the whole meal included in the price of your pasta (bread, salad & dessert come with!). I don't have one favorite- I like most of their menu items very much. I appreciate the garlic butter that's served up with the piping hot sourdough and I love the spumoni ice cream at the end of the meal too. I went to a dinner here last night for the first time in years. I'll start with the good. The restaurant has a cool old ambiance to it. The wait staff was incredible nice and helpful. Some Of the best staff I've encountered in a long time. The bad. I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce was mediocre and the chicken was something....chunks of what seemed to be precooked squares of no taste and an odd texture. Within 10 min of eating my stomach hurt extremely bad. My husband has stomach issues and encounters this every time he has Alfredo. I have never had this issue. I've been having stomach issues since. I don't know what is it in the food but I won't be coming back to this place. My friend sitting next to me said that her food (she ordered the same) wasn't very good. I liked the old spaghetti factory for a while and really liked their Spokane location. Where I live in NJ, we have none, so this is a treat when I travel. They have good italian food at very reasonable prices. This time around I had spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were OK, but the spaghetti was great. I also had as part of that their minestrone - which was good and hearty. Of course the fresh baked bread was great. Service was stellar and the bar area was intimate and quite. We were disappointed with the caesar salad that we paid extra for since it sounded like it had fresher ingredients. The salad was soggy at best. Pasta and meatballs ok. Soup was good. Decided to go with the #2, half meat sauce and half spinach and cheese ravioli for diner. The marinara sauce for the ravioli was a bit underwhelming but the cheese/ spinach filling more than made up for it. I highly recommend any plate at the spaghetti factory. Went here with my husband for his birthday and it did not disappoint. Very good food and fantastic service! No complaints here.

Of all the Spaghetti Factories this one is my favorite. It doesn't smell like a nursing home and the food isn't all breaded. (Like the chicken in the pasta - it can be grilled) The set up is super great and they set us up in an old trolly car that now is set up in the restaurant. It was before a race so my friend and I were carb loading. I love that they load up the leftovers for you and you can order off menu and "build your own" meal rather than have a built dinner that is on the menu. The servers are great and although it is a family restaurant I didn't feel like there were a ton of screaming kids set around me. read more

Okay here goes, I love it when we are treated like honored guests, we were over treated. One thing I do like to be referred to as lovely, keep that for someone younger please. When our two waitresses one in training one not I was confused first off let her try correction in front of us is uncomfortable I could not imagine what she was thinking. Also please do not brag about lets do more test questions, why say that loud enough for us to hear. Also please do not show us how cool it is to make a plate out of the to go box, for one thing did you bother to ask us if we were interested? I'm not sure how places like this make it, except that peoples' expectations for a good food are low. Just ick. That said, the people around me seemed to enjoy their food. A lot of meat and pasta and bread. There was a nice looking broccoli side dish on many plates around me but it was not available on the menu as an item in itself. As if a vegetable can't be a dish, you have to put pasta and meat on it to make it a dish. I would've never gone here except that it was a group event, it is obviously not a vegetarian friendly restaurant. The waitress did accommodate one of the whopping TWO salads on the menu so that it was vegan for me. So kudos to her. I am not a fan of The Old Spaghetti Factory however I will concede that the food and service were acceptable. we didn't' have to wait long for our table for eight and the diet coke refills kept coming. everyone had fun in our party and my sister inexplicably loves it there so if she's ever visiting me again and suggest we go to The Old Spaghetti Factory, I will say yes with less grumbling that before this last visit. We had a party of 13 on the special prices night Jan. 21, (prices as they were 45 years ago). We got there early and they were extremely busy. Despite the hectic crowd we were very pleased with the whole experience. Our waitress (Sarah) confessed this was her first night off training and she did a marvelous job serving our large group and seeing to our every need. What can I say? Still the best spaghetti house this side of the Mediterranean. Doesn't matter what I eat off my plate or what I eat off my kids plates, it's still worth getting it super-sized in order to take some home. I love the sourdough bread too. Wedding Catering, well.... the positive is that this was by far the cheapest option we looked into opposed to actual catering only companies for our Fall 2019 wedding. Upon conversing and booking OSF in the Fall of 2018 the person whom I spoke with at the Spokane, WA location was very helpful and quick to respond to me. I was emailing a general email box and she was responsive. The issue is I later found out she was promoted and dealt with half a dozen other employees of OSF in the months leading up to our wedding day. I had sent MULTIPLE emails, no response. I would call and be told "someone would email me back (now that I called and told them I needed something), but that they were about to open the restaurant so that was their main focus at the moment and they needed to get back to work." That was REALLY FRUSTRATING when you're trying to verify or confirm details for a large event such as a wedding. I was looking into other caterers the month of my wedding because I was having such poor communication issues leading up to the big day and was quite honestly unsure if they'd even show up. There was so much disorganization from person to person I had talked to. Were they even going to show? How many different people did I have to repeat the exact same details to to loop them in on the event? If they did show, would they get the order correct? I was stressed, worried, upset, annoyed to say the very least and I am a very low maintenance bride. I wasn't asking for much, just a response within the same week to my emails. My day of coordinator informed me that she had tried calling to confirm details the week of my wedding (which was on Saturday) Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday that week without answer and planned on walking over on Thursday to speak with someone. I however got a hold of the GM Yvan that I had been in contact with for the few weeks before the weeding to confirm everything on Wednesday evening. I would be giving OSF 0 stars if it wasn't for Yvan at the Spokane, WA location. He came to the rescue in the final few weeks leading up to my wedding and assisted in straightening things out for me. His communication was prompt, he emailed and called me when he said he would, he was very thorough in going over the details of my event, and assisted in matching prices I had been quoted at the time of agreement in 2018. Even though Yvan stepped in and helped tremendously to make the process smooth - that didn't take away the lack of attention I had received for the past almost year dealing with multiple employees and non-responses. I was nervous up until I walked thru the reception doors on my wedding day and finally breathed a sigh of relief when I saw the food was actually there on the table. The food was correct, plenty for our guests, and it was good. No complaints on the food received, you know what you are getting with this company. My non-solicited advice on this? If OSF is going to advertise catering for events, there really should be an employee managing just catering inquiries and ensuring people receive responses in a timely manner. If nothing else, just check emails every once in awhile in regard to catering. If it weren't for Yvan we probably would have chosen another caterer in the month before our wedding. THAT is how frustrated I was with everything. read more

I have been going to Spaghetti Factories since the 80's. My favorite place to eat. Extremely family friendly and delicious food. I love the traditional warehouse restaurants with the trolley. (I am disappointed that Seattle close their Spaghetti Factory and Tacoma moved theirs into a modern (boring) building). Spokane's Spaghetti Factory is still in an old historic building with a lot of character. Great food, good value, and good service. I like the recent addition of taking reservations, it really helps to get a table quicker instead of the "45 minute wait" for a table. read more

We dined here as part of a fund raiser. My family has dined here on special occasions over several decades, and I have always thought of TOSF as a place where the service was dependable, the food was decent but nothing exceptional, and that you could expect a reasonably affordable meal. Some of that remains true, but I can't say that we will be returning here any time soon. Before the gratuity, our party of three had a bill of $60. This was with no appetizers and no alcohol. Only pops and an iced tea. Once upon a time, TOSF offered free refills on beverages like pop, but apparently that is no longer the case. For $2.99, you get a glass filled with ice and maybe 7-8 ounces of pop. Want another? That will be another $2.99, please. Making matters worse, my wife was charged for a 2nd iced tea which she never ordered nor received. Total cost for beverages: $17.96, which is more than an entrée. That, my dear friends, is bill-padding of the first order. If we had only stuck with water, our final bill (including tip) would have been roughly $25 less. All because of iced tea and pop...ridiculous. The food itself is unremarkable. While not overpriced as such, it does not compare favorably to some of the locally-owned Italian restaurants, where you can find dishes of comparable cost but which are made from scratch and have considerably more flavor. Like other reviewers have noted, you are paying for the atmosphere as much as anything. When the place is full, it can be insanely loud. Maybe some people place a premium on atmosphere, but I am not one of them. Unless it is for another fund raiser, I seriously doubt that we will be going back. There are much better choices among the local restaurants. read more

The service was excellent, we didn't have to wait at all. The food was served warm and delicious and as soon as we were done, they presented us with desert. I did not like the way our waiter treated us. Aimee was her name. She was very abrupt and short with the way she took our orders and I often felt judged. When I received my food it was not properly prepared though I asked for a very simple order. I usually love this restaurant and often I receive a delicious meal but this last trip to the old spaghetti Factory was upsetting. Don't get me wrong that pasta does hit different hahaha. Two stars! Excellent service and amazing food. We came on a Tuesday night about an hour before closing, so there was hardly a wait and the restaurant wasn't packed. It was nice. The spaghetti marinara was delicious and the creamy pesto dressing and salad was super yummy! The table bread was a huge hit with my family. We even got a second loaf. The Coke was a little watered down, but the Sprite was perfect! My husband was madly in love with his lasagna. My son really liked his fettuccini alfredo. Love this place. A lot! read more
