    Chicken Marsala
    Steve B.

We'll give The Old Spaghetti Factory a solid four stars. My wife was extremely hungry... the kind of hungry where time slows down and bad decisions loom. We had a 6:00 reservation, bumped it to 5:30, showed up at 5:00 anyway (because of course we did), and they kindly seated us in the bar area. Cozy little spot... no complaints there. Our waitress was great. Friendly, patient, and willing to roll with my nonsense... which is saying something. I had a free birthday entrée (buy one, get one free), promptly ordered something that wasn't on the birthday menu, realized my mistake, and pivoted back to my usual Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter. Zero regrets. It's my go-to and it absolutely delivered. I ordered the Hearty Meal, which apparently translates to "Sir, here is a mountain of pasta." I barely finished it. I absolutely should not have finished it. I finished it anyway... because I am fat and that is how I roll. My wife ordered the Chicken Marsala. Her official review: "The chicken was OK." However... she loved the Mizithra pasta (a lot). She also enjoyed the Foundry Punch enough to have two, which is always a good sign. Between the two of us, we demolished about a loaf and a half of bread like it was our job. Dessert was spumoni ice cream. My wife had a little. I had mine... and then the rest of hers. Teamwork. The atmosphere was great. It was quiet, they had the playoff game on, so I got dinner and sports... win-win. Prices and value were exactly what you expect from OSF... no surprise fees, no menu gymnastics. They got very busy shortly after we arrived. When we sat down, it was us and one other couple in the bar. By the time we left, every table was full. Nothing wild happened, nothing bad happened... just a good, solid visit. Will we be back? Yep. And next time I might pretend I won't eat the entire plate... but we all know how that ends.

This is the 2nd location ever opened (Spokane, WA) and we're from Hawaii here for our daughters college graduation (Whitworth). We literally came for the ambiance and to see if they had their famous Mud Pie.. Service was awesome as well..

Love visiting this restaurant. Always a favorite with my parents and grandkids. Great atmosphere so relaxing. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is great with ample portions. The fresh hot bread is always a treat. But everyone looks forward to the ice cream finale. They even have vanilla for those who don't care for spumoni. We've had exceptional servers here this week!

9.2.25: First time at this location for my friend's birthday dinner and since we live in North Idaho, it was any an hour ish drive. We were starving and hoped the wait was worth it. I used Google's online reservation system, which was really simple and easy. When we walked in the door, we were greeted and told the hostess we were in 15 minutes early. She was able to sit us right away. It wasn't too busy at first but picked up by the time we left. Ambience was quiet and lightning was on the dim side. It made for a relaxing environment and we even got sat at a booth with a window. Our server, Scott, right away said he would be right back. After a few minutes of scanning the menu, Scott returned to take it drink order and thanked us for our patience. Since cotton candy is my fav, I couldn't resist not ordering the Cotton Candy Limeade. It arrived with cotton candy on a stick, which I wasn't expecting and loved it! The limeade itself was really delicious and not too sour. My friend ordered a vanilla Italian Soda and liked it so much he ordered a 2nd one, which was perfect because now we both have souvenir glasses. Scott was awesome enough to give us two fresh clean glasses to take home. So with Spaghetti Factory's 3-course setup, I went with the garden salad with thousand island as my appetizer, traditional spaghetti with manager's choice of two sauces: Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter and traditional Marinara Sauce, as my entree, and traditional spumoni for dessert. My friend ordered the lasagna and a side of 2 meatballs (he was quick and I only got a pic of 1 meatball lol). As for an appetizer, we went with the Sicilian garlic cheese bread. My salad was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The garlic cheese bread was phenomenally awesome. It was soft, hot, and cheesy--the marinara dip was nice and rich and complimented it very well. My spaghetti arrived picturesque-like and they did a great job keeping my 2 sauces separate. The noodles were perfectly tender--al dente to a T. The Mizithra Cheese and Browned Butter sauce is so flavorful. Although not really saucy, it's my first choice if I'm not feeling saucey. The melding of flavors explodes your mouth with tasty goodness. It almost reminds me of a dry white Alfredo. Let's not forget about the marinara sauce with its rich robust tomato flavor blended with just the right amount of spices. I thoroughly enjoyed my spaghetti plate and ate it all. Boo for no leftovers lol. My friend said hands down it was the best lasagna he's had in years. Because everything we ate was so flavorful, he said the meatballs were great but pretty ordinary. The spumoni scoop of ice cream for dessert hit the spot. I love pistachio and it had a good pistachio taste and enjoyed the 3 distinct flavors versus all 3 flavors just blending into weirdness. Scott was a friendly server, checked on us at all the right times, and overall added a nice vibe to our dinner. We left so full I think I waddled outta there haha. We'll definitely be back!

It was a really busy night, but we were seated relatively fast. Service was prompt and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Sitting in the train car was really fun, especially for our daughter. The only cons are finding parking. I also think there are more authentic spots for Italian, but it was a good family friendly choice.

My friends and I went here for dinner last night after a long day of competition at the convention center. We made a reservation expecting it to be busy but it ended up being fairly quiet. We were seated immediately and had time to look over the menu and order food and drinks. I got the chicken fettuccine alfredo and the strawberry mocktail (I can't remember the name now). The mocktail was alright but it had a pretty strong flavor that blocked out a lot of the strawberry taste. The alfredo sauce was good but the chicken and mushrooms were incredibly salty. The broccoli was bit undercooked as well. I had to eat the chicken and mushrooms separately from the pasta because they were so salty I couldn't taste anything else. The ice cream we got at the end was the same as always and didn't really have anything notable about it. Our server was nice and attentive. The table was clean as was the rest of the dining room. We parked in our hotel parking garage and walked about 7 minutes to the restaurant because we knew there wouldn't be any free parking around downtown. It was a cold walk and didn't feel entirely safe since it was nighttime and there were some people milling about shouting. Overall this was a fine experience. I'll remember it for the laughs I shared with my friends, not the food.

An old classic. The mizithra is a must have. Trust me. The clam sauce or also great. Every time I'm in town visiting family we come here. It's incredibly family friendly, large group friendly, and wallet friendly.

Parking is street parking only, and it gets tight once the restaurant gets busy. The atmosphere started out quiet but quickly turned lively as the night went on. The space feels clean, cozy, and homey, a good mix of casual and upscale without feeling stuffy. Service was excellent. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was friendly, professional, and perfectly timed, attentive without hovering or rushing us. For food, I ordered the Brussels sprouts with jalapeno, ham, and parmesan, also had the butternut squash agnolotti with sage butter. The agnolotti was well made and rich, though a touch on the sweet side for my taste. The Brussels sprouts were fine, but the mild jalapenos caught me off guard. My friend had the chicory salad and really enjoyed it. In hindsight, I wished I had gone with something a little lighter too. Overall, it was a good meal with warm service and a comfortable atmosphere. I would go back, but next time I would explore another item on the menu.

It's time for our annual trip to Spokane for my wife's immersion and if you follow my reviews at…read moreall, you know that my job on vacation is to coordinate the food. This evening we decided we would go to Sorella. A gorgeous photo of their focaccia brought us in. Since finishing chemo and radiation for my breast cancer, food has been an interesting experience for me, so when I want something, I go for it immediately. I will note, if you're interested in trying Sorella, BOOK A TABLE! We were able to snag seats at the bar, but even on a Tuesday, this place is in demand, and after enjoying our meal, I can see why. When we walked in, we were stunned. Beyond the natural light flooding into the roo,m there were gorgeous deep teal walls with a gallery wall and gold accents. The bar was adorned with gorgeous counter tops that had low lights, and a mix of velvety chairs gave it a soft luxe feel. The aroma of the food was lightly sprinkled throughout, and the décor were simply stunning. It would be a great place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, date night or just a casual moment with friends. A full menu is available at the bar and the staff was incredibly attentive - more details on our experience are below, after the food review. Now let's talk about what we ordered. We got the Focaccia (of course), Arancini, Dante's meatballs, the Cesare, the Limone and a Pasta Speciale. Focaccia - 10/10 I love when food tastes as good as it looks. The focaccia melted in my mouth and carried so much flavor on its own. The whipped brown butter was such an excellent addition and truly a masterpiece to add to it. I could have easily ordered two more (and I should have). Arancini - My rating 7/10, My wife's rating 9/10 The presentation was beautiful on this dish. My rating centers around my taste buds not aligning with the flavor profile, and not really knowing what to expect. I find myself preferring a stronger, almost cheesy flavor now, and this was a bit more subtle. My wife, however, fully enjoyed them and loved the flavor they carried even without the sauce. Dante's Meatballs 10/10 Spectacular, give me 12! These were so delicious, the meat was so flavorful and the sauce, WHEW the sauce was delicious. Yes, we did dip the focaccia in the sauce. Cesare - 10/10 I love a good salad, and Caesar is my favorite. At other restaurants, I find myself wanting more dressing or more flavor ,and I often feel like pieces of the salad are missed when preparing. This salad was dressed from end to end. We squeezed the lemon on top, and it sealed the deal. Every bite was fresh and had a slight crunch and crisp that was exactly what we were looking for. Limone - 10/10 When we looked at the menu, my wife glanced over and immediately knew what I was ordering, and after my first bite, I was so glad that I did. The execution of this dish was perfect. The noodles were thick and almost creamy alongside the butter, and there was the perfect balance with the parmigiana reggiano. When I order it again (because we will be back), I will definitely add prawns. Pasta Speciale - 8/10 I meant to snap a photo of the menu, but this was on the special menu. There were prawns, mornay, garlic, arugula and a few other things that I am forgetting. The prawns were incredibly fresh, as were the noodles, and the flavors blended very nicely in this dish. Lemonade - 10/10 The lemonade was delicious! I don't know that I've mentioned this on any of my reviews before, but I love lemonade and order it with every meal outside of breakfast. This lemonade was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Limoncello - 10/10 We shared two of the housemade limoncello shots to go as we were checking out, and I wish I had recorded our reaction. The execution of the flavor was perfect, and it definitely packed a punch! Our server/bartender was Mary Katherine, and beyond being the sweetest, she was also incredibly knowledgable of the menu. As luck would have it, we ended up sitting next to the owner's family and got to chat with her amazing Mother throughout the night (who was kind enough to let her try some of her delicious lasagna) and ended up meeting the owner. Lauren, the owner, took a pause to talk to us, and it was so evident that she is truly such a brilliant and sweet soul. She radiates, and who she is as a person aligns exactly with how Sorella feels: ethereal. Overall, we had an amazing experience, from the ambiance to the service, the conversation at the bar, and the delicious food. We cannot wait to try Fratello's, the sandwich shop also owned by Lauren, this week.

The lasagna my husband got was okay, but pretty typical. The steak with the yellow chimichurri that I got was not good at all. My steak didn't have a lot of flavor on its own and I did not like the Chimichurri at all. It was quite the bummer. I'm glad we finally gave it a try. Let's get to the nitty gritty, the food quality was very good, taste was a knock out. The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! And there was fresh bread, oh how I could wax poetic about fresh bread and so few restaurants are on this very simple add. Dessert - I'm always hypercritical of crème brûle because like bread it's pretty simple ingredients but takes some care, Muzuna's nailed it.
