I love tops burritos they are perfect. Can't get pass trying any other one because I'm in love with their ham burrito. The hash brown have a crisp when you bite into it then you get the cheese followed with some nice fluffy cooked eggs finishing with the ham need I say more. Tops Special Burger- So...first of all, this thing is MASSIVE. Too massive, honestly. It comes with a 1/4lb burger, a grip of pastrami, as well as the other burger condiments. Sounded like a good idea, but it turned out to be a bad one. Just too much stuff. Couldn't pick it up even. The bun was a tad soggy, and the mountain of toppings just kept spilling out. I dare you to try to eat this in your car or try to eat this while wearing a white shirt. I dare you! lol. Even on the back of my trunk of my car, standing in the street, I couldn't even tackle this thing without stuff falling all over the place. Small Fried Zucchini- This "small" was really giant. Cant even imagine what the "large" looks like. I am a HUGE fan of fried zucchini. I will seek it out and order it in drive throughs as a snack sometimes. Tops zucchini was just ok. The portion was huge, but the zucchini itself was a tad too chewy. I prefer a crunchier batter with less chew. Not bad at all, just not my favorite zucchini I have had. It did come with really good ranch dressing at least! Overall, glad I stopped, and I can see why people like this place. It's a good "fat shack" with huge portions. The food is good and worth the wait. They are usually packed. Just know that nothing comes with any sauce. I love The Original Tops! My dentist is all the way in Arcadia so whenever I have a cleaning, I always make it a priority to come here afterwards. This is the kind of place I wish we had in Oxnard. Sure there is A-Burger and Buddy Burger, but those menus aren't as big and diverse as The Original Tops (but of course they have awesome burgers). My go to is their burgers. I have tried a few but I'll always love their Bacon Double Cheeseburger, no onions or pickles. It's very delicious and very big. If I can eat one in one sitting, I'm usually all set for dinner that same day haha. Besides the burgers I have tried their pastrami sandwich and fish and chips and those were really good too. Definitely can't forget to mention the fries! They are a perfect compliment to any of the dishes here. I love that they are crunchy and not too salty. They are like the type of fries that goes well with ketchup or ranch, and the type you wish you had ordered a large instead of a regular. There's not any real customer service or urgency by staff. Today I ordered a breakfast burrito which was primarily tortilla. In the past I have ordered fries that were cooked in old grease and soggy, a burger with grilled onions and the onions were disgusting and were more prominent than the actual burger. They have two locations in Pasadena. Apparently this place is a long time Pasadena favorite according to locals. So I decided to give it a try; we got: - the POPULAR pastrami sandwich (not my fav) -Turkey Avocado BLT( pretty good, they crisp up the bacon nicely and everything tasted fresh) -Onion Rings (good) and Fries (skip). I love coming here because it's quick and the food is pretty tasty. I ordered a chicken tostada salad with Italian dressing and a large zucchini fries to go. I noticed today that they did have indoor dining again for those that are interested at eating at the establishment with a few outdoor seats. The tostada salad is huge! It's definitely enough for 2. The salad comes in a large crispy shell filled with a smear of beans on the bottom, with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, half a avocado, and your choice of protein. I choose chicken with Italian on the side. They give you two containers of dressing but I only used half of one. As for the zucchini fries, YUM! Crispy and delicious. If you're into zucchini fries, definitely get the large! It comes with ranch and it's a better bang for your buck than the small size (which is half the size but only cheaper by about $1). In the past, I've also gotten a milkshake with all three flavors (vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate). Check your receipt to make sure they are not overcharging you for your soda. I ordered a small soda, which cost $2.59, but they charged me $2.69 for the cost of a "specialty" drink of either lemonade, Orange Bang, or horchata. I know its only 10 cents, so it's not that big of a deal, but its the principle of automatically overcharging someone since I'm pretty sure they do this to a lot (if not everyone) that orders a soda. What bothered me the most was the poor time management of the cooks. I ordered sweet potato fries, onion rings, a pastrami sandwich, and the Tops Special burger. All of my items came out cold except the sweet potato fries which came out so hot you couldn't even pick one up for about 5 minutes. Its evident that what happened was they didn't have any sweet potato fries ready, but they decided to make all the other foods first (and let them get cold) while waiting for the sweet potato fries to cook. What they should have done was wait for the sweet potato fries to be almost ready and then start getting the other items ready (which wouldn't have been hard to do since the other items were being constantly ordered and thus being prepared in large batches). read more

Damn! My first time here and what a whirlwind. I asked for no tomatoes on my burger and there was tomato. And get this on the receipt it says no onion and there was still onion! Get it together!
