We had a gathering at the Owl cafe and it was a great experience. The food , the atmosphere, and the service was amazing. I had the Breakfast chicken steak with eggs, my friends had the taco salad, and green Chile cheese burger . Everything was delicious .

Took my team to lunch for jobs well done. Love the nostalgic atmosphere. The food is amazing. We had enchiladas, salad and the famous green chile cheese burger. Our waitress was attentive and efficient...greats service!

"Garden Salad ". With no onions??

To go order beans and green chili bowl and a garden salad. I noted in two different places no onions in the salad! Charged for a bowl of beans and a garden salad. What I got was a cups worth of beans and a cup worth of side salad with plenty of onions. I also ordered blue cheese dressing and got ranch

Super fun and relaxing 50s style diner with a great vibe, fantastic waitstaff, and delicious food! My buddy and I were seated right away when we walked in. We chose a booth (better lighting for food photos) and got our menu and drink order. My friend got the California cheeseburger and I asked the Owlchiladas. When the food order arrived, I knew this was a good choice. The enchiladas with green chili sauce. The food was fantastic and completely filled the plate. A super sized meal! We finished off with a milkshake for desert! They have a large list of delicious shakes! I picked the New Mexico, a blend of dark chocolate with zesty red chili. Cold, creamy, and sweet with just a hint of spice.

What a great way to kick off the new year! I had been to Owl Cafe once before with a group of seniors, and the staff was so nice and accommodating. The restaurant is accessible with a great menu for folks old and young! It has a cool old school dinner aesthetic with great swag for purchase. I returned yesterday for a nice New Year's Day brunch- no wait and the food came out quickly. We mistakenly ordered appetizers, they were delicious. The only mistake was the portion size was so large we were unable to even scratch the surface on completing them! The pickle pile was literally so big- you need at least a pickle loving family of 4 to be able to put a dent in them. My breakfast burrito was awesome, great beans and loaded with eggs. The burger was big and juicy, and the fries crispy. The shake had a bunch of large brownie chunks which I love! I'll definitely be back.

Everything went well-food, service, 50's ambiance. The NM shake was the best shake I have ever had in my life. I have nothing negative to say about the Owl Cafe and I have been going there for 20 plus years.

We had lunch at the Owl Cafe (now Owl Bar & Cafe). Great nachos and enchiladas. Service was great. Like being in a way-back-machine, the place originated in 1945 in San Antonio, NM, as a burger joint for Manhattan Project scientists. In 1986, locals relocated it to Albuquerque's Eubank Blvd, keeping the green chile cheeseburger recipe and 1940s vibe. Iconic for Route 66 nostalgia.

I haven't been here in years, but I was craving a chocolate malt so we stopped by on a Saturday for lunch. We were seated right away and our waitress was very friendly. We started with a half onion log which was crispy and delicious. My husband had the nachos and I had a Reuben. The nachos were good with lots of melty cheese. I liked my Reuben with fries, but I thought $18 was pretty steep price wise. My husband also got a soda and I had a chocolate malt at the end. Yum! All in all, this set is back $70 with a 20% tip.

Classic dinner atmosphere, plenty of seating, service was quick and waitress was very friendly, the food was decent, made to order so it came out hot, we all decided the food overall could have used some seasoning but for the most part tasted good, the fries were good.

Our server was there promptly as we were seated taking our drink order and finding out we were first timers, pointed out common favorites as suggestions. We shared a biscuit and gravy breakfast plate, which the restaurant was kind enough to split for us in the kitchen. The menu stated they used sausage gravy and photos from here on Yelp supported that; we however got gravy with zero sausage. It wasn't even a creamy country gravy. It was so thin. The taste was good but still disappointing. The potatoes were excellent. Well seasoned with crispy bits. The egg was perfect for us. Over easy order=whites solid with runny yolk. The egg was so good I ate most of it before I remembered to take a picture. The food I'd give 3.5 stars but the service pulled my rating up to 4. We do plan on returning for their amazing looking pancakes, waffle plates and or French toast. When we left the restaurant at 10:10 AM the waitlist had started. All benches by the entrance were full. A very popular restaurant!

It was extremely busy and loud. I didn't wait in line to order, but it took them 50 minutes to prepare our salads. The service wasn't very friendly or helpful at first. I'm hoping it was because they were so busy. We had to leave 10 minutes after getting our salads so I had to take most of it home which was disappointing. On a good note, the salads were amazing. They were the best salads I've ever tasted which I why I'm giving three stars instead of less. My mom ordered the 505 Cobb and they forgot her chicken which was frustrating after waiting for nearly an hour. However, they did make up for it by making her extra chicken! And their chicken was absolutely delicious!! I ordered Persephone's Lunch which was outstanding. I added chicken to it which made it nearly $20 for a bowl salad. The seating is open and you order and sit down wherever you can find. The seating is hard on your backside and uncomfortable, especially when waiting for so long. The salads and fresh ingredients are delectable. If I ever return, it will be a to go order that is put in very early. Cheers!

Our waitress did come back to bring the coffee. Before she got there we were discussing the fact that the entire staff was new. She must have overheard us and took it as some kind of slight to her. Two minutes later the manager came over to inform us that we were being rude to her server and that she would be taking over our service. After some discussion my wife said, "this is ridiculous, guess we won't be coming here again" the manager said "well I'll cancel your order and you can leave now". I was immediately impressed by the staff. you couldn't ask for better care and warmth. we participated in any activities that were offered and made new and lasting friendships along the way. thru those years there were difficult times. I guess the most difficult was the pandemic when we were limited to movement within the building but you would be amazed attn lengths the staff went to to keep us happy. delicious meals were delivered to our door ( we ordered from our menu's ). Games were played at each door if you wanted to participate and there were fun prizes. The weekly wine socials were brought to your door. Meanwhile, all the necessary health precautions were taken. The apartments were thoroughly cleaned weekly. When necessary, immunization clinics were brought to each resident and if you wanted to participate, they made it easy. Eventually that passed and life got back to normal but it's hard not to recognize the professional handling of that difficult time. The building was renovated and mad lovely for us. If anything needed to be updated, it was life moved along smoothly and I must admit, to my surprise. There were many staff changes but amazingly, the staff remained warm and caring. Deep down, I can forget that they are dealing with many different personalities and sometimes elderly people can be a tad grumpy. The loving staff simply overlooks the bad days. Food is always an issue but the menu is large with choices for everyone. If that isn't enough, there's a really great Bistro you don't want to mis. The activities are numerous and year round. Entertainment is provided on a regular basis and outings take place twice a week. All you have to do is signup. I can't close this without mentioning that my husband passed away in 2022. it was a difficult time made easier by the Fairwinds staff and especially the management. Being100% deaf and disabled, my family wanted me to move to assisted living despite my reluctance. Doralei warmly helped me make that decision to move and very graciously helped me find a comfortable apartment. The move was smooth and the golden treatment given by the health and Wellness staff has been perfect so I have to admit that it was the proper move. When I need appointments, the transportation service is wonderful and I can't forget to mention the wonderful drivers. Do you see how fortunate I furl that all those years ago, we made the decision to move here it was the perfect one. You can't go wrong.

I had read so many positive reviews and was genuinely excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, we walked out without ever being served. While we sat there, multiple staff members walked past our table without acknowledging us. No greeting. No water. No "someone will be right with you." Nothing. Then another couple arrived after us and was seated in the same small patio area. They were promptly greeted, given water, and attended to by a waiter who seemed more than happy to serve them. Meanwhile, we were still sitting there trying to figure out whether anyone planned to acknowledge our table. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was looking around and realizing there were no other Black or Brown patrons in the establishment at the time. I cannot definitively say race played a role in how we were treated, but given the stark difference in service between our table and the couple seated after us, I would be dishonest if I said the thought didn't cross my mind. We eventually got up and left. Good food reviews mean very little if certain guests can sit at a table while staff repeatedly walk past them as though they aren't there. Whether this was discrimination, poor training, or simply terrible service, the experience was unacceptable and left us feeling completely unwelcome. We came prepared to spend our money and enjoy dinner. Instead, Sixty Six Acres made it very easy for us to take our business elsewhere.
