I noticed that Yelp moved reviews from the Rosecrans location (now closed) to this newer address on Artesia. (Or maybe all the information for the Rosecrans location was changed to that of the Artesia location.) The quality of the food here is still good. There is a wide selection of items, especially for breakfast, and breakfast is served all day! On this occasion I tried the Smoke House Pulled Pork Sandwich, a sandwich style that I've taken a liking to over the years. The Pan's version contained a lot of pork, plenty enough. I'm more accustomed to pulled pork sandwiches have a slightly more wet consistency, not necessarily loaded with barbeque sauce, but something that keeps them from drying out. This sandwich was lacking in that regard. Good, but could have been better. The Green Chile Chicken Posole soup was excellent. Nicely spicy, with fresh chicken and hominy, a cup was filling. TLDR: breakfast all day, every day. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon: no wait time, we were immediately seated. The host, Daniel, was very attentive and friendly - he helped sit my party. Our server was very helpful with recommendations; I ultimately tried the Strawberry Paradise Pancakes and they were delicious (and you can see, look!). After getting back in town, we decided to come and est here at the pan. My wife and brother in law had been here multiple times and have raved about this place so many times. You should probably make a reservation instead of just showing up. We were told the wait for a table of 4 would be about 40 min, but was more like 20-25 min. You have to wait outside. Standing space only. Not very conducive to waiting for long periods of time. Inside seating is pretty limited so the wait can be a while if they are really busy. We ordered tgiwr loaded original hash browns as well as a side of Horchata. And we substituted instead of a regular pancake or toast for their "best ever" banana pancake. Food comes out quickly. Their Horchata is massive!! Easily a 40 oz or more. Fortunately you can take it to go. It's creamy and sweet. Tastes really good. The hashbrowns were also really really big. Very good crunch on the hashbrowns. Flavors were great. Tasted really good. The banana pancakes were OK. When you use the phrase "best ever," I don't take that lightly. And honestly they could've been better. Thus minus the 1 star. My wife got the Cinnamon roll pancake and they were a lot better!! With the cream and the taste and the cinnamon. It was the best ever Cinnamon roll pancake I've ever had. My brother in law got the upside down pineapple pancake. It was OK. A little too burnt for my liking. Overall a really solid place. A friend recommended this spot for breakfast/brunch cravings, so I had to check it out. If you're looking for a quaint spot with a nice mixed menu, this is a place for you to try. I was in the mood for breakfast and my partner was in the mood for brunch, so the options fit perfectly. Walking in, you're immediately welcomed by the hostess at the counter to get your head count and give you an estimate on wait time. The decor is a feel of ol' town country lit by the natural light coming through the front windows. There are roughly about 20 tables, a bar (not one you can sit at), and restrooms for patrons. We waited about 15mins to be sat, no complaints from us on the wait time or the estimate that was given (thanks for over estimating). We were immediately greeted with water and our menus. Everyone working seemed to have a great attitude while working, and did not mind answering questions about the food and menu suggestions/substitutions. A little overwhelmed, in a good way, by the amount of options and what to pick, I went with a veggie omelette that consisted of spinach, tomato, and onion (minus the cheese, mushroom, and bell pepper), and I added ham. The meal came with breakfast potatoes and choice of toast. For an up charge, I substituted a Belgian waffle for the toast. The egg for the omelette was a bit thin for the amount of toppings inside of it. When I cut into it I was greater by a hefty amount of sautéed spinach or onion. I believe the onion was caramelized or on its way to being caramelized which threw me off, especially when I would get a fork full of it (I don't like caramelized onions). Those got pushed to the side. But to each their own. I think because I took out the mushrooms and the bell pepper more spinach was added as well. I like spinach so I wasn't totally put off by it, but someone else might be. The potatoes were ok. The waffle looked amazing in the yelp photos, but in person it wasn't giving what I'd hoped for. The flavor of the waffle was a 10/10, but it was a too dense for me and didn't have the crispy outside texture I like of a lighter freshly cooked waffle. It was as if the waffles were pre-cooked and sitting under a warmer which would help them get food out fast, so I get it. This is my taste preference though. I don't like waffles that soak up like a sponge, it makes me feel like I'm drinking the syrup with every bite. I also had a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice that was tasty, but be mindful it's on the sweet side. My partner went for a sweet and savory brunch. She ordered Shaki's strawberry Nutella French toast and chili cheese fries adding chicken. She said the French toast was good. The brioche was dry without the Nutella and cream but it was still good, especially with the fresh strawberries. And because It was already sweet with the cream and Nutella, she avoided the syrup. If you do the same, she recommends requesting more cream and Nutella. The star of the show for her was the fries. For an appitzer it was a large portion, they were seasoned well and the chili taste homemade. The aoli was yummy even though she was a little worried at first. The toppings were evenly proportioned and she said they reheated well the next morning. Overall we had a good experience and will absolutely be back. read more

Couldn't decide on what I wanted so went for the chili cheese fries and the strawberry Nutella French toast. Portions were amazing and flavor was out of this world. Price for each item was solid as well especially given portion size. Ended up tasting both but saving the chili cheese fries for later. They reheated well probably due to the great quality of fries used. Later they tasted just as good as in the restaurant. The restaurant is a little small but the service is great. Our server was very attentive and I think the small size of the restaurant seating area made it easier for server to pop in often and quickly get our food to us. If you're watching your carbs, your sugar, whatever, this ain't for you lol The French toast came by itself so I ordered turkey sausage, 2 over medium eggs and hash browns, all à la cart. The only problem ordering à la cart is that everything comes on a separate plate ‍ easy fix, though. Everything was absolutely delicious except the hash browns. The parking for the location is ample, the wait time was short considering it was the PAN, usually the wait time at the PAN it hours, we waited only 30 mins. Looking for a breakfast restaurant in the area. Reviews were mostly positive so we decided to give this place a try. Read several reviews that recommended arriving early to avoid long wait times. Arrived a little before 8A and a crowd was already starting to form. When the doors opened, we were seated immediately. It got quite crowded by 8:30, but then cleared out a little after 9. The Pan was a bit of a disappointment for me. Hubby enjoyed his Pastrami and Egg breakfast sandwich. He did mention the flavor was heavy on the mustard so one has to really like mustard. I will say it was ginormous and looked like it could feed 2 or maybe even 3! I had Zola's Crab Cake Benedict. The flavor of the red pepper sauce overwhelmed the crab cakes. All you could taste was the red pepper sauce. I think I would have preferred a regular Hollandaise sauce. Minus 1 star for the cold potatoes that accompanied my entree as they were barely lukewarm when served. My friend enjoyed the Classics Breakfast Burrito. He thought he had to choose between bacon or sausage, but was pleasantly surprised that that the burrito came with both bacon and sausage. Service was good. Daniel was attentive and made sure the coffee cups were never empty and I had hot water for my tea. He even offered my friend extra salsa to take with his leftover burrito to go.
