Clean place. Great service! Food was great came out quickly and was hot. We got seated quickly and the server came over right away.

Every time I come to the Pan, I leave the place thinking why did I do that? I can see why many would love this place....huge portions and lots of food. Great place for families and group gatherings. It's not suitable for a single diner like myself. The food is average and typical...nothing extraordinary. DO NOT get their specialty coffee beverages. My expectation when I ordered their chai tea latte was a barista crafted hot yummy drink. What I got was a chai syrup mixed with hot milk somewhere behind the scenes in their kitchen. You're better off getting their house coffee. I'm not really digging this new location. The atmosphere is not the same as their original location....it's dingy and dark. There is actually a wait list no matter what time of day or what day I visit there. Luckily I always get the counter because I'm there by myself. This "The Pan" is smaller than Harbor City and bigger than Gardena (the OG). For me, service is decent, has never been bad but not top notch. Sometimes they have underage staff so you'll have to wait for a legal age person to make your mimosa. The food is pretty good but depending on the chef that day, can be super greasy. You can see the oil at the bottom of your plate. I always ask them to keep grease to a minimum. Although they serve breakfast almost all day, if you order something that's more afternoon-oriented, you can't get it. This particular restaurant is small, maybe 16 tables and can have a waiting list or line outside. Since you can't wait inside and there's no place to sit and wait outside, you can miss your turn if you go to your car to sit. read more

Plenty of lighting, parking , and seating. My husband and I ordered the pan deluxe deep dish pizza to share and I ordered the cucumber mint strawberry guava agua Fresca. Our meal was filling and we even had leftovers. There's about 6 slices for a medium pizza. The crust came out nice and golden and the ingredients were almost evenly spread around the pizza. I have to have a piece of pepperoni in every bite. That's just me. Service was nice and friendly. There's a few locations in the South Bay but this one is closest to home. read more

I don't know how many special occasion celebrations we have had at The Pan, including my milestone birthday last year at this location. I enjoyed a Havana pizza that really is the sandwich in pizza form. I thought pickles on a pizza was weird... in the pizza version, it's kinda like an open-faced sandwich. So, so good! Fish & chips had 2 large pieces of cod fillets that were perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside & moist on the inside. It came with seasoned fries, nothing special about that; the good thing that they weren't heavy handed with the seasoning. I really hate salty fries! My husband had the Cuban feast sandwich, which is essentially my pizza. We usually try to get something different to have a little taste of everything. What can I say? Great (spouse) minds think alike! This sandwich was a bit more generous with the filling than my previous Philly. Too big of a plate for themselves & the a la carte specialty pancake is too small, the kids picked the raspberry one to share. For the most part, there's usually a good balance of filling & toppings to bread (carbs). This location's consistency in food & service isn't as good as the location on Western Ave. Prices are fair with a decent to generous serving, depending on the item. Most servers are friendly & our food typically is served in a timely manner, but water refills tend to go wayside when it's busy. On occasion we have lost our spot when trying to "get a number" because there's no hostess... some diners are darn rude cutting in front. ＼(｀0´)／ Dining room is similar in capacity of Western Ave. Restrooms are larger, & are clean & well-stocked; it's located on the left, back of the restaurant. This Artesia Blvd. location usually has a shorter wait than the other 2, & tables seem to turnover fairly quick. I like this spot for its bright & somewhat more spacious dinner room. This is their new location off of Artesia which I think took over the now closed Curry House. They just opened a few weeks ago and are set to open a bar area within the next month. They are also open later than The Pan on Western (they close at 3 pm). I think both menus are similar with maybe a handful of items that you can only get in one location versus the other. The "Original" Loaded Hash Browns - My go to when I don't know what else to get. There's something about poking the gooey egg and tasting it throughout the bacon, sasuage, green onion, and hash browns that make up this dish. I always eat it with sourdough toast and it's always been delicious from first to last bite. Chicken 'n' Waffles - Buttermilk fried chicken breast on top of two waffles with blackberry butter and blackberry syrup. When the chef first tested this at the Western location, we tried it and loved it. I am happy to say it tastes just as good at this location! Filling, sweet, a little tangy, crunchy, satiating. Blueberry Pancake - Ugh this was so good. Fluffy, warm, comforting, with melted butter and you got yourself a dream. Sweet Potato Fries - Came out hot, crispy, and not burnt. The chili aioli sauce was excellent with them. If I ever want sweet potato fries, this is where I'll get it. Well, why am I giving four stars, you ask? I am a fan of their breakfast offerings. Specifically, we always order: Breakfast burrito. Always hits the spot Breakfast sandwich with bacon. I haven't decided which style of cooked egg works best. Scrambled is too boring and sunny-side a tad too messy. Oh well, try, try again! Hash browns. These are my favorite! So tasty! Honorable mention - chili fries with chili on the side; because who wants soggy fries? Dip the crispy fries in the chili! We discovered this during our recent outing. I love The Pan! I would frequent the one off of Rosecrans often but after learning they closed that location I found out about this location on Artesia. Same great food and amazing service. Came early on a Saturday and was seated immediately with no wait. The food came out pretty quick as well. I always order the loaded hash browns, they are delicious! I sub out for turkey sausage since I don't do pork which comes at an extra charge. What makes the meal is the chipotle aïoli! The pancakes are also amazing here. And 10 seconds later the waitress came running saying no it's not. they apologized and didn't charge but it does not matter since I have been vegetarian for 14 years.the kitchen messed up and they lied. insane and absurd for them to think it's okay to first say yes then change up. don't recommend going here if you don't eat meat. they'll mess up again. you can't just apologize repeatedly and think it's okay. Just went here for breakfast meeting my work friend who lives in the area. I got here around 840am, and put us on the list (surprisingly busy) and was lucky to get in for 9am. My friend's timing he got here a few minutes later. I ordered the Short Rib Benedict(short rib barbacoa, corn cakes, creamed corn, poblano sauce) which was excellent, and 1 lemon pancake which was very good. I had a coffee which was in a large mug, with free refills. My friend ordered fried chicken and waffles which had blackberry syrup and blackberry butter. From the small sample I tried it was very good as well. Ill have to say the blackberry syrup was a star, and really paired well with my pancake(I actually think it should also come with that) . Simple and clean interior and good service. Considering how many brunch places have gone up in price and not serving things that are special, this place has done a good job. I spent the same amount here the same price as some Diners, and this was noticibly superior. I have no idea about the other location, but there was ample parking in the shopping center this was located at. Its also surprising that Aunties Cafe is a few doors down, and they make great breakfasts as well. Theres some peruvian and japanese restaurants in this shopping center as well, but havent had the chance to try them. read more

My friends from Gardena took me to this place for the first time... what makes this place different is because they usually take me to eat Japanese or Hawaiian, which I think of when I think Gardena... Japanese American cuisine...but last night they mentioned having the best breakfasts... the loaded hashbrown potatoes... which back in the day I remembered eating Marie Callendars signature hashbrown potatoes fried in a skillet... this was back when Marie Callendars was a coffee and pie shop located in Pasadena... so it sounded good... what surprised me was the extensive menu and variety of fancy pancakes and sandwiches that I hardly ever see... Lemon Dream, Rasberry, Guava, Chocolate Peanut Butter... and on and on... then I saw waffle... and next to that Shaki's Strawberry Nutella french toast... and I thought how about Shaki's Strawberry Nutella Waffle? Why not right? 20 minutes later we finally decided on our meals... yup it took that long... the funny thing is, none of us ordered the signature hashbrowns... hahahaha... The Pan Deluxe Pizza... The Pastrami and Egg Sandwich... the breakfast burrito... The Southern, which is biscuits and gravy with bacon and eggs, and potatoes... and I got the Shaki's waffle... Everything was good... it's unfortunate that I live so far away, because I would be splitting my time at my favorite Mile Square Golf course restaurant and this place... and I would be coming here for dinner because the golf course restaurant closes at 3pm... Called 3 times before someone picked up. Ordered a medium cheese pizza. 12 inch cheese pizza = $25 bucks. Took the pizza home and it looked really good. Took a few bites and noticed it was suspiciously soft. Peeled back the cheese to find an embarrassing amount of sauce and about a 1/8 inch of just raw dough. Refer to the picture below. My home potatoes were both burnt and raw. I ordered my steak med. well it came med rare. Our pancakes were average. I expected that with a regular pancake but my wife ordered a cinnamon bun pancake. So I was looking for a breakfast place and came across the pan. Originally we found a pan off of Western. However, the wait was over 30 minutes so we called over to depend off of Artesia and their Way was two minutes We were greeted by three young ladies super sweet super kind. We sat down, right away. Place is packed our server. Alejandra had many recommendations so we let her decide what we wanted for breakfast. Yes that's correct Alejandra picked our breakfast. She's super cute. Super sweet super nice she recommended the loaded breakfast hash brown and the buttermilk chicken. The chicken was delicious. It's on the cornbread pancake super yummy chipotle sauce we got the eggs over easy just delicious. The loaded hash brown was also super yummy Dash brown on the bottom with super crispy is bacon eggs cheese sausage everything was everything was delicious super yummy. The coffee was strong and it had a great bold flavor. Starbucks coffee is garbage compared to this one and But honestly this five-star experience was all about Alejandra. She wins the prize such an awesome soul she picked out our breakfast. She helped us super courteous super sweet. I hope the manager is reading about this review whenever I'm in back in the LA area. I'll make sure to check out the pond again, I really like this location. It's much bigger than the one off of Western thank you Alejandra for making this experience a memorable one.
