Yes for big portions at reasonable prices and friendly service. I love that they accommodate you in every way. Got the deep dish pizza with half bbq chicken, half margherita and the cheese was so stringy, hanging onto the base of the pizza. It is a heavy pizza that you won't be able to finish. I got wings as an appetizer and was able to get half of them tangy garlic BBQ and half regular hot wings. Both such different flavors and sticky-licking good! Definitely need to come back and try the breakfast dishes, but pizza and wings were drool-worthy. read more

Even though we had made reservations, we still had to wait about 15-20 more minutes which is one of the reasons I'm not giving this place 5 stars. Basically, be prepared to wait no matter what since this place is poppin! Other people seemed to be waiting like an hour to eat here! LOADED HASH BROWNS!! This is THE dish to get!! WOW!!! I got it with over-medium eggs and I was blown away by how delicious this was. That chili aioli is MONEY. Flavor AND texture were perfect. Best hash browns of my life and I plan on ordering this every time I come here! It's actually a pretty big entree size dish, not a side, so don't be fooled just because it's "hash browns." It's definitely heavy and filling. HIGHLY recommend! Signature Scramble: I tried a couple bites of this and it was just okay... pretty heavy on the bell peppers which I'm personally not a fan of. If you like bell peppers, then maybe you will love this dish! Blueberry Pancakes: these were fluffy and tasted pretty good but not something I would order again. It was $1 extra to upgrade to these instead of just getting toast which comes with each entree. They also have a lot of other specialty pancakes to choose from. I'm beginning to show my face here waaayyy too much! Lemme tell you about these lemon dream pancakes babbbbiiieesss---better yet how's about yall go and try them. I love that the wings are fried w/o heavy batter so you can get to the meat of all things. There are more than a few flavors to choose. Variety always make for a good experience.The service is always welcoming here with an even better ambiance. The deep dish pizza is awesome but I'd suggest the regular crusted pizza in lieu of this. I absolutely love the service and the pizza here. The deep dish is the way to go, well worth the $2 upcharge, very filling, 2-3 slices per person is plenty, a small more than enough for one person. This location does not get as busy as the others, which is a huge bonus, the food is just as good. Plenty of easy parking and take out available (order over yelp or call in) I enjoyed their lasagne pizza the most, the meat ones were a bit heavy, though I did like the kielbasa as a topping, never seen that as an option at any other place, tasty. Clean, plenty of seating, easy parking. Prices are fair, portions generous, worth checking out! read more

I love brunch as it's the best meal of the day, at the best time of the day. I came with a friend who highly recommended The Pan since she lives in the area. I thought it would be a great brunch place, but I was wrong- it is the BEST brunch place. Parking is a little hectic but we managed to park about half a block down the street with street parking. Arriving around 10:45am, we waited about 45 minutes for a table for two. Service was pretty good even though they were really busy and our server checked up on us frequently to make sure everything was okay. I ordered the chicken and waffles with blackberry cream & jam while my friend got the loaded hash browns and an upgraded blueberry pancake with lemon vanilla butter. The chicken and waffles here is unreal. There's something about biting into a delectable, warm and soft waffle, pairing it with a slightly tart fresh fruit jam and some of the best fried chicken I've had. I'd highly recommend anyone come here for the chicken and waffles over going to a regular chicken joint. I also had a bite of my friends loaded hash and it was so good! They have some type of of aioli sauce with it that really brings out the extra flavor in the potatoes. The blueberry pancakes were also very delicious and the lemon vanilla butter is soooo good paired with it! Overall, I'd definitely make the drive out to eat here again. However I'd probably come for lunch instead of breakfast to avoid the long wait. read more

I'm not a breakfast person, but my hubby & kids are so they picked the pan and it was sooo delicious. I will gladly eat their breakfast any day. I had the chocolate peanut butter pancakes, breakfast potatoes & orange juice. Everything was super fresh. Our waiter was also incredible, I want to say his name was Alex. And the atmosphere was very welcoming, we sat outside which was really nice because it is a small place. Parking was difficult, as many restaurants are using a lot of the parking lot as dining space at the moment. But the walk from the car was worth it. 10/10 read more

Unfortunate to witness the sharp decline of The Pan's quality. I've been coming here since the day they opened and, once upon a time, loved this neighborhood haunt. Not so much anymore. To keep this succinct, I probably won't come back after my latest visit. Their pancakes were dry, overcooked, and bland (seriously, how do you mess up pancakes?); their calzone was the biggest disappointment. What used to be a monthly retreat into gooey pizza heaven, is now akin to buying a hot pocket from the dollar store. Another item overcooked- to the point that it was hard as a rock and not pleasant to eat- and practically empty. Not a single hint of garlic on The Great Greek, which used to have such powerful flavor. Instead of cutting it open and having toppings pour out with molten cheese, it was pre-cut (and so, had cooled down and couldn't even be eaten hot) with a thin layer of cheese and scant toppings. They should be ashamed with how underwhelming they are. Their deep dish pizza was just "alright", as usual (if you're from the Midwest like I am, prepare yourself for the fact that it's nothing like a Chicago pie. Don't get your hopes up...) Their chili cheese fries were great, but are a pretty simple food to get right. If they got those wrong, they'd really be in trouble... Only redeeming factor is the service. We love coming to The Pan! We always get great service, and the food may take some time to come out, but that's because they are putting some serious love into it! Their pancakes can come with coconut syrup, pineapple syrup, and I'm guessing normal syrup. Try the pine and coco syrup! Ask if you can get a taste of both and they'll be happy to give you both! They are so good! Their breakfast portions are just the right size (and depending on what you get, they are huge), and I love that our drinks come in cute little mason jars (I got strawberry lemonade~delish! And free refills!). The wait may be long for a table of three or more. Normally with two people we get in pretty fast. I've yet to try their non-breakfast items since every time the boyfriend and I come here we're here around brunch time. read more

We were planning a Sunday brunch but our newborn had other ideas so we thought... breakfast for dinner. Why not? I didn't realize they close early on Sundays... we got there 30-mins. before closing. I already knew what I wanted - the Chili Verde Burrito; my husband had the Veggie Omelette with House Potatoes, & LO had the Lil Fella from the kid's menu. I also wanted a lemonade but wasn't sure about the passion fruit flavor. Our awesome server, Josh, was kind enough to provide a small sample to taste. I immediately placed an order after taking a small sip & gave the rest to the LO. By providing a sample, I wouldn't reflect negatively on my dining experience if I didn't enjoy the tasting [I had a poor experience elsewhere from the sommelier's recommendation, & had to pay for the poor choice :-| even after explaining what flavor profiles I do enjoy]. My burrito was served hot on a crisp tortilla. The marinated pork was tender but it could use a dash of salt, & the chili sauce could use a lot more heat. With the combination of the eggs, potatoes, & cheese, it was a well-rounded burrito; if you eat the components individually, they were underseasoned. Nonetheless, the burrito still satisfied my appetite. And I washed everything down with the refreshing & light passion fruit lemonade. My älskling shared a bite of his veggie omelette, & I'll admit that I would prefer his order over mine (if knowing that, he would have made the exchange because that's the kind of man he is; he already substituted his toast for a cinnamon roll pancake for me so I kept my mouth shut so he could enjoy his meal). The veggies were sautéed just enough to wilt yet retain its crunch, & they were well-seasoned. The omelette was perfectly cooked, not runny or rubbery. The cinnamon roll pancake is reminiscent of a cinnamon roll, except its texture is of a pancake. The pecans give an extra crunch & the cream cheese frosting reminds me a little of Cinnabon. The cinnamony goodness was so hard to resist that the LO & I took a few bites before I was able to snap a pic. ;-) FYI, the upgrade to buttermilk or specialty pancake, or waffle is only for plates that come with toast. In my case, I couldn't add the Cinnamon Roll Pancake for $1.25 to my burrito since it doesn't come with toast. My husband's omelette had toast so he was able to upgrade. My LO had a huge buttermilk pancake; it's like the size of the cinnamon roll pancake. I would think the portion would be "kid size" since it's on the kid's menu. She was only able to eat 1/3 of her plate; even if she wasn't under the weather, I doubt she could finish the pancake, eggs, sausage, & bacon. Customer service was excellent but it was also a slow evening. Would service be just as friendly & efficient during rush hours? There's limited free parking around the restaurant, but plenty of street parking. There's outdoor seating, which is a nice touch, but Western Ave. is a busy street so I'm not likely to sit outside unless it was quiet like my Sunday night visit. The restaurant seems kid-friendly since we saw a couple of kids there, but it's tight on space so strollers, infants/toddlers (didn't see any high chairs) could be a problem during rushes. The only downside was the servers cleaning up/prepping for the next day because it was so close to closing time... I didn't care to eat my meal with the smell of Clorox permeating the small dining room; I suggest wiping down after all your guests are gone. Every time I am in the L.A. area I hit the Pan up for a solid meal on the weekends for Breakfast or lunch. Remember they serve breakfast all-day! This time it was another great breakfast at the Pan. The pancakes were spot on as usual, yummy bacon and eggs done right. The whole meal was excellent. The service provided by Ed was top notch. Me an Ma Bear woke up got to this place before it opened-waiting list was good was called in a few minutes before alarm went off on phone. We sat outside, very good morning air. Service was great, thx ladies. Orange juice freshly squeezed was great--the coffee was good too. We ordered--Loaded Hash browns (HELLSYEA) I should've taken another plate home the sauce was Homer Simpson Drooling good, French toast bacon crispy eggs were scrambled too perfect an not runny (Yay), Chilaquiles and a lemon drizzle topping pancake- yes lemon drizzle (don't knock it till u try it) Whomever was the cook for our food I need to rent him or her for about 3hrs every Saturday or Sunday morning. She also mentioned others were still on the waitlist. I thought that was really unprofessional especially keeping in mind how long we waited. Food wise it's good. I've been to their location in Pasadena as well and the food there was a lot better than this location in Gardena. I had a Chi Latte and the loaded hash browns. This is my first visit to this location. I've been in this shopping center several times and never noticed The Pan because the signage isn't very prominent and the shape of the shopping center hides the store front. I placed our party on the Yelp waitlist in case it was crowded, as it was a Sunday morning. We were greeted by the friendly host, checked in and waited to be called. We were seated 30min after check in which is fast for Sunday breakfast. Our server greeted us immediately and took our drink and food order. As 30min passed, I noticed that other tables that were seated before us did not have food at their table which is concerning and as soon as I was about to wave our server over, Anais informed us the kitchen only had two line cooks and were behind which we appreciated the information and made our wait easier.
