Hands down, the best thin crust pizza I've ever had! As a life long Gardena resident I've had pizza from all the local places (corporate and individually owned). I came in a few minutes after the restaurant opened and placed my order for a thin crust, pepperoni, and pineapple (don't judge) medium pizza and a large Thai iced tea. The gentleman who took my order made the tea first, from scratch. I love this drink and typically assume it's just going to be sweeter than I like but this one was balanced so well, just sweet enough for me. My pizza was ready in about 25 minutes and WOW! This is the thin crust of my dreams. Not too thin that it folds under the weight of the ingredients or gets super soggy and a crunchy crust! I took a bite without adding on parmesan and chili flakes, delicious both ways. Next time, I'm definitely going to add one of the oil drizzles, I'm sure it'll be great too. I've been a loyal ASAP Pizza customer for a long time--they're the only place I order from for my family. Even after moving farther away, I still make the drive just to get their pizza. Today, I made the mistake of ordering through a third-party service (Grubhub), which I normally avoid. Unfortunately, my order was completely wrong. The chicken was undercooked, I didn't receive the correct pieces or flavors that I paid extra for, and they even left out my beloved garlic butter crust--something I also paid extra for. I'm not sure if this was due to carelessness or a lack of ingredients, but the right thing to do would have been to contact me for a suitable replacement. They made fresh pizza on the spot . We got their special ASAP supreme and a pie of pepperoni , it was phenomenal , the crust is a great balance of crispy on the bottom and fluffy throughout. Based on the pictures online, we expected a sort of taste and aesthetically pleasing quality. It was none. It came through under the "hot and new" way back in the day, so I added them on my bookmarked collection. I remember looking through their menu and remember it not being extensive (which wasn't an issue) but the one thing I remember is that the pricing was great! Being it National Pizza Day, I decided to finally come through. I ordered via the Yelp app for pick up. I immediately noticed their prices were much higher compared to their menu I looked at just days prior. I was hAngry at that point, so I didn't really care. I put in an order of the ASAP Supreme pizza (requested a thin crust) a side of garlic butter sauce, 6-piece buffalo wings and breadsticks. I opted to pay in CASH since I didn't want to use a card. The food was ready when I got there and the staff immediately thanked me for the order and handed my food over. I told them I still needed to pay them. They said, "No, it's been paid. Via Grubhub." I was floored. (Okay, I'll get back to that and explain in a minute, let's get to the food first.) ASAP SUPREME: Plenty of toppings for the size and the price. As noted earlier, I requested a thin crust on the pie and yes: the crust was thin, but it was a tad bid undercooked. The dough was still chewy and could have use a little more time in the oven. However, they didn't skimp on the toppings so it was still above par overall. BUFFALO WINGS: Perfect amount of sauce, but like the crust on the pizza, could have also used a bit more cooking. A teenee crunch on the wings' skin might have elevated the experience to a better level. BREADSTICKS: This they got PERFECT. Hot, fresh, fluffy, garlicky... YUM! And for the price, it really is worth it!!! GETTING BACK TO THE WHOLE GRUBHUB THING: One of them mentioned if I was to do a pickup, they advised calling them directly than going through the app because GrubHub price their items so much more. And she's right. I did the math and it came down to this: ASAP Supreme Pizza: $10.99 GRUBHUB: $13.74 Thin Crust: $1.50 GRUBHUB: $1.88 Garlic Butter Dipping Sauce: $0.75 GRUBHUB: $0.94 6-piece wings: $6.99 GRUBHUB: $8.74 Breadsticks: $3.00 GRUB HUB: $3.75 TOTAL (PRE-TAX AND TIP): $23.23 GRUBHUB: $29.05 A difference of $5.82. This is the 2nd time I used the Yelp app to order something for pickup and the idea that greedy Grubhub made money off me without doing any work (plus the fact that no part of their fees go to the restaurants!) is not sitting well with me. (I've never used any kind of food delivery service for a reason... now I've got two!) I know, it was my fault for not being more careful and I should have been more aware, so the blame falls on my hAngerism... okay, it's me, blame is on me. Lesson learned: NEVER AGAIN!!! I tipped the restaurant in cash. FOOD: 3. It could use a bit more work and I'm keeping in mind to make special requests next time I phone an order in. SERVICE: 5. This place is a hidden treasure. Very low key and unassuming from the outside. The inside is clean and spacious. My family and I went in for pizza on a Friday night and they were busy but we still were able to sit at a table and get service. I was really happy when I found out they have halal options!! The cheese is great, the sauce is ok and the toppings are good quality. But the pure white unfermented dough that has zero crisp or texture or chew is not for me. Today I had their 3 meat Pizza since I'm 100% a meat lover. The order process through Yelp was fairly easy. I ordered the 3 meat pie Pizza and their breadstick with Marinara. Unfortunately the marinara wasn't place in my bag so I didn't enjoy the bread sticks. However, the pizza was delicious. It comes with Bacon, Pepperoni, and sausage. It is cooked pretty well, but would've been nicer if the cheese was melted a bit more ( just preference). I did however feel like it wasn't much different from Dominos Pizza. Ordered via UberEats. Pizza & breadsticks came 45 minutes later than scheduled and were cold, dry and gross. We threw it away. I wanted to like them though. The pizza may have been good if fresh but when a pizza sits in a cardboard box hot, then cools down, it sort of takes on the cardboard taste. The first thing I do when trying a new spot is look at the negative reviews. I really hope that this reaches whoever it's suppose to... So tonight (a little over an hour ago) I ordered two large pizzas and a 20 piece wings. With the delivery it came out to $54. They have an $8 service charge for delivery, which I think is stupid because that discourages someone who likes to tip big from wanting to leave a tip. That was the first thing, but not a big deal. The second thing is the pizza is just okay. The tomato sauce they use is cool but they are stingy with the toppings, and the crust isn't nothing special. If I was grading just off of pizza they might get 3 stars. The WINGS... the wings are the worst wings that me and Prince, my boy that pulled up to watch the game, have ever tasted. We both agree that they are hands down the worst wings. DO NOT BUY WINGS HERE!!!! The wings that they sell in the frozen section at the grocery store are better, if McDonalds served wings theirs would be better. I'm pretty sure 7Elevens wings are also better. Let me explain... the wings actually have no seasoning on them, NONE. The guy also confirmed this when I called back... I'll get to that in a minute. No seasoning! We ordered lemon pepper and buffalo. In the photo they looked like they are seasoned, but honestly it tasted like they watered it down to stretch it. Also they were undercooked. And he understood what I mean, but he couldn't accommodate me. I asked for another batch... I asked for a refund. We ordered 20 wings... 14 (pictured) were left. There are 6 people here right now. It only took one wing a piece to figure out it wasn't going to get any better. He didn't offer anything to reconcile. This is when I decided I would leave a review. The person I was on the phone with said the manager made the decision they cannot offer anything, so I asked him for the managers name to leave in the review. Guess what he said, "I can't give you his name!" What in the better business bureau type of crap is that? MarcJoerg- whoever I spoke to that wouldn't give me their name, I never asked why the wings aren't "flavor injected" or have "artificial flavor enhancers" I don't even talk like that! I stated, "These wings taste like they were not seasoned prior to cooking them and they don't taste like anything." Your employee confirmed that, you cannot season your wings prior to cooking them (his words). I'm a wing connoisseur... what type of wing cannot be seasoned prior to cooking them??? Definitely not the fresh, all natural, no hormone wings that you stated your establishment sells. The wings are horrible, but that is not where you failed most as a business, your failings is in your customer service and retention. This could've been a very easy fix and you could've avoided a negative review if you would have made any effort to make your customer happy. Solid pizza place if you like better quality pizza. Wife and I got a large 3 topping pizza which is pretty well priced at just under $12. End up paying a bunch more service and delivery fees so go pick it up if you're close by. Pizza was delivered in about 30 min and left at our doorstep. The pizza was still warm which is always nice and it's a decent sized large (full off of half of it). Also, highly recommend getting the garlic butter dipping sauce which we loved. The sad part was we ran out of the sauce while we still had a couple of slices left. May order again but my go to is pizza hut stuffed crust so that's what I compare other pizzas to. I ordered Hawaiian pizza through a delivery app last weekend and it came promptly. However, the pizza was way too cold making me wonder when it was made. Despite the temperature, the first thing we noticed were the amount of cheese and topping. This place is being way too cheap on toppings. You could see the pizza dough under all the toppings which clearly means there is not enough cheese to cover the whole pizza. The amount of pineapple and ham is ridiculous. This is not a size small pizza. You could put like two more handfuls of pineapple and ham. The pizza looks too empty... The taste is mediocre. Nothing special. It just makes me wonder who wrote all the five star reviews here.. they probably never had a decent pizza.
