    When we noticed the eggshell
    Jamie R.

Update: We've frequented this place a few times in the last year. Each time was relatively good. I should note, we have dined in each time except for today. Today, we decided to place an order to go. My grandson loves their French toast but didn't want to dine in today. So we order French toast and a Chili verde burrito. Should have maybe taken 15-20 minutes tops. The gentleman who took my order said; "wait outside on the bench (which was occupied by patrons waiting to be seated for dine in) and someone will bring it out to you." So we did, no problem. I got caught up entertaining my hungry grandson and didn't realize almost 30 minutes had passed. Nobody came out to provide updates or anything. I didn't think much of it initially because they were busy per usual, and I was giving them some grace. I went inside to check on the order and low and behold, my order had been ready for quite some time and was sitting under the warmer. Great, except my food was not hot, it was semi warm. This added to my frustration as now I still had another 20 minute drive home and therefore my food would be cold by then. To add to my frustration, once home, there was a small piece of eggshell in the scrambled egg. Not that big of a deal for an adult. But because my toddler grandson was eating it, this could've been a problem. Additionally, the chili verde burrito barely had any meat in it and lacked some flavor. I truly hope today was just an off day for them as I do like this place. Dear management: I understand they were busy but please ensure staff also give attention to in person to go orders just as much as they do dine in. I will own that I should've checked in earlier but since I was told they'd bring it out, I expected just that! Despite being take out, I did leave a decent tip for them and still got subpar service.

The place is tucked away in the back of a shopping center behind a gas station and other restaurants. There's plenty of parking and the atmosphere is nice. You have to wait to be seated, but my group was seated almost immediately. Our food order was taken quickly and the food came out pretty fast. The server was also checking in regularly and was on top of getting us refills. As for the food, I ordered the pastrami and egg sandwich. I asked if it came with fries and the server said it is a pretty big portion and you probably wouldn't want a side. He also mentioned that it has hashbrowns in it. And he was right, the portion was large and I was full from just the sandwich. Everyone else in my group complimented the food. I had originally planned to go to a different restaurant at that freeway exit, but found it had shut down a couple weeks prior, so finding this place was a welcome surprise.

My son said these are the best grits he has ever had. I tated his dish and would 100% agree. He had the shrimp and grits. Creamy, perfectly cooked and the andouille sausage gives the perfect amount of heat. My nephew had the fried chicken sandwich with carne asada fries. He said that he felt the chicken was overly seasoned and I would agree with that as well. The chicken is moist and the fries were yummy. I had the banana pancakes. They were ok. I would have liked more bananas. Our drinks were also delicious. Homemade horchata and a mocha latte. I'd come back again and again for those shrimp and grits!!!

We arrived and it was busy inside so we decided to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. Very friendly staff sat us and we had a man as our waiter, I think the manager. He was very fast, helpful, and kind. It was our first time there so he reassured us that the food we ordered were some of the best choices. AND WE AGREE. we ordered the loaded hashbrown and the chicken and waffles. The blackberry butter and blackberry compote that came with the chicken and waffles was the perfect amount of sweetness. The waffle was cooked perfectly and very fluffy. The chicken was super crispy and juicy. The loaded hashbrown had scrambled eggs, bacon, a tasty aioli, and cheese. Full of great flavor and extremely filling. My husband ordered their homemade horchata and it was sooo good! We will be come back to try more!

We came here cuz I was looking for a brunch place in the area. I was like a placed called the pan being a brunch place seems quite interesting. The inside was so nicely decorated. An's had plenty of seating!! Was pretty clean and it was busy. But then again it was around 2 pm and they close at 4 so maybe they are busier in the am. Omg the shrimp and gritz was amazing. I didn't even know what grtiz was but it was fireeeee. The guy recommend and I thank him for it. It was quite filling and might be a shareable tbh. But it's worth the try. I do wanna try their food ther Benedict stuff and I will def come again!!!

This is a cozy breakfast and lunch spot in a mini strip mall. The food is very good and the menu is extensive with breakfast and lunch served all day. Like a lot of popular places there is usually a wait on weekends. Our party of 6 waited 35 minutes to be seated. The manager checked on us and kept us apprised of the wait. Service had some hiccups maybe based on how busy they were. While our drink orders were taken right away, it was quite a while to get coffee and water. Most of our orders included toast. We were asked what kind of toast we wanted but toast never appeared. A server came out with some of our food but had no idea what the items she was delivering were. The manager did compensate us with a discount. Being retired I think I'll go midweek next time. There's a lot of menu items I want to try.

The moment I walked in, I got great fun friendly vibes. I was greeted and I had picked up my order. It was my first visit here to redeem my bday reward but I decided to dine in bc the place was so welcoming and the music playing was my jam. I had ordered Chili Cheese Fries bc I love trying different places versions of CCF. I modified it by requesting regular onions on it too. It has pinto chili beans with some bell peppers, chili aoili sauce and topped with green onions. It definitely was a kick of flavor when you add the aioli to it. Overall, the flavors all blended together well and I would come back and order this again. The man who helped me, was super kind. It was so sweet of him to surprise me with their specialty guava pancake. He had put a little bday candle on the pancake. Thats just the sweetest thing ever and a great surprise indeed! I ate the entire guava pancake and it was delicious. It was not a strong guava taste, it was mild and it was not overly sweet. It was absolutely perfect!!! The Pan definitely brought great vibes, energy and I'm amazed how generous and warming the experience was here! I will be back to try more things off their menu.

We came around 11 am on a Monday and it wasn't too busy and we got seated instantly. We were also well taken care of by our server. I wish I got her name because she was super kind and attentive. The food was also so good. The cinnamon roll pancakes was amazing. I love that the pancakes were not too thick nor thin and it wasn't overly sweet. I would definitely come back for lunch, they have a good variety of menu options.

The food was amazing and the service was great! Had a bad experience at the Long Beach location with service but this location redeemed their name. Looking forward to going back and trying different dishes. Found our new go to spot. We tried the nawlins banana foster French toast and loaded hashbrowns. I was having tingles, it tasted so good.

An easy stop for some yummy breakfast / brunch classics like pancakes, French toast, egg dishes and more. We got the banana pancakes and chorizo scramble, both were yummy. I wish the pancake dishes would come with eggs and sausage or bacon like the French toast dish though. Maybe one less stack of pancake plus the savory bites would be better. The chai latte was alright...probably will try something else next time. Staff is friendly and parking is easy. Not a fancy place but definitely good food and comfy environment.

We decided to stop by for some brunch this morning. This place is located inside a plaza with a lot of parking spots. Decoration was very cute, especially the headboard on the wall. Staff was friendly, and we were seated promptly. We ordered Banana walnut pancake, Chorizo scramble, and a Coffee. Services were fast. Our server checked on us to see if we need our coffee to be refilled. The chorizo scramble was delicious, but nothing stands out compare to other places. The pancake was a bit dry. Pretty good brunch overall.

This is a charming new brunch place! The staff is very friendly and service is excellent. They have an extensive menu and everything sounds great so it might take a while to choose. We got the guava crepe and buttermilk fried chicken. Guava Crepe- The galette is soft and chewy. The guava filling is sweet and fruity. It comes with a cream cheese whip that balances out the dish and ties the flavors together. I highly recommend it! Buttermilk Fried Chicken- The chicken is seasoned and breaded to perfection. You get a lovely crunch outside with soft and juicy meat. Served over a fluffy corn cake, a bed of spinach, and topped with this delicious red pepper sauce that I can't get enough of! I'll probably ask for extra on the side next time. I would definitely come back to try out the rest of the menu.

We had the chilaquiles verdes, menudo, side of fries, kids strawberry cheesecake combo. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. It was so good in fact that we decided to add a stuffed dulce de leche French toast that we saw on the menu earlier. I was blown away. I love that it was salty and just sweet enough. It was the best thing I tried. But the the best part of the whole experience was Alma, our server! We didn't even notice we came in hour before closing, and when we did we apologized and she was so kind and told us not to worry and to enjoy our food. She was the last server there and was juggling multiple tables but still managed to be extremely attentive to us. She is so kind and has a great personality. Thank you for everything, Alma! Also big shout out to the kitchen for not closing before the restaurant! They let us add our French toast about 20 mins before closing, which is really unheard of in the restaurant culture of "last calls" 30 minutes before. I loved this place!

I'm currently 8 months pregnant, and I had my baby shower at Benchmark on July 25, 2026. This is my first baby, and my best friend and sister spent countless hours planning the shower. They invested so much time, effort, and money to make it a special day, and we were all incredibly excited. When we arrived, the event space was extremely hot. We were informed that the air conditioning had broken the night before and were given a few fans to help. I was surprised that no one had contacted us ahead of time, especially since it was 95 degrees outside. At the very least, I expected someone to discuss alternative options or move us to another area, but that never happened. As guests began arriving, the heat only became worse. Our shower was from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and by the end, everyone was sweating and fanning themselves. It was incredibly uncomfortable and definitely put a damper on what was supposed to be such a memorable day. Another issue was that servers were constantly walking through our private event space because the restaurant's freezer was located in the back. Throughout the entire shower, staff were repeatedly coming in and out. This was never disclosed to us when we booked the event. Even with all of that, I tried to be understanding. Equipment fails, and I know unexpected situations happen. I expected that a manager would come speak with us, apologize, and try to make things right. Unfortunately, that never happened. Instead, we were given only $150 off a $2,600 bill. The food itself was delicious, but because of the extreme heat, we couldn't comfortably enjoy it or safely take leftovers home. It felt like we were sitting in an oven. After the event, my best friend contacted the manager, Pedro. It took about a week for him to respond. He acknowledged that they should have informed us about the staff traffic through our event space and admitted that he should have personally apologized for the air conditioning issue. He offered us a gift card, but we requested reimbursement of the $400 room fee instead. Since they had already deducted $150 from the bill, we asked for an additional $250, which seemed like a reasonable compromise considering the circumstances. His response was that they still had to pay the servers and cover the cost of the table linens. That explanation was extremely disappointing. We were also required to pay a 22% service charge for servers who, understandably, weren't present much because the room was so unbearably hot. This experience turned what should have been one of the happiest days of my pregnancy into a stressful and disappointing memory. While I understand that mechanical issues happen, it's how a business responds that truly matters. Unfortunately, the lack of communication before the event, the absence of management during the party, and the unwillingness to provide what we felt was a fair resolution left us feeling undervalued as customers. I hope management takes this feedback seriously so future guests don't have a similar experience.

Finally a couple weeks go by and we get there with the line not too busy so we wait for about 20 mins in line with only 5 people ahead of us which I felt was a bit crazy but we're already here. Finally we order and get a breakfast burrito and a torta to eat in totaling out to 35$ just between those two items, but hey if it's good who cares right. We notice that there is no assigned seating and we're told to grab a seat where ever we liked so we go to the only table available inside about 10 mins after sitting and waiting for our food one of the waiters comes up to us and tells us we can't sit at the table because it's meant for a bigger party and that there is a table all the way in the back next to the restrooms that we need to move to because they need to save this table in case a big party comes in. I told her that these were the only seats available when we got here and i'd have no problem moving if a bigger party came through however there wasn't anybody waiting in line or ordering so we were gonna continue to wait here. the waitress proceeded to tell me that she doesn't know how else to say this but we aren't allowed to sit there, and we just exchange awkward silence. she gave up after about a minute of telling us to go to the back of the restaurant. All this could be overlooked if the food was amazing so i was really hoping it would be good and then finally after about 16 mins of waiting and being told to move by staff the food comes out. the waiter drops my plate so that it clatters as it hits the table and the nail in the coffin is that the food was honestly borderline bad, burrito lacked seasoning but was smothered in salsa to attempt to hide its mediocrity, it came with two more salsas on the side and chips but the chips were cold and stale unsure if they just gave me old chips because they were upset with me not moving to the back for them or if their chips are always that stale and unsalted. won't be making a return save urself the money and go try any other Mexican place their food will be better and cheaper.

They sell items that people grew up having at their dining room tables at home. Most people came in to try their variety of Micheladas. My wife had one and seemed to really enjoy it.
