The food was pretty good. We had the guava cream pancakes and French toast stuffed with cream cheese- pretty good, but my boyfriend said there wasn't enough guava on the pancakes. My french tiast was not very hot when it was brought to me. They had 60s music piped in from a Playlist which was great! My other complaint was my coffee was almost cold when they kept refilling my cup. I think this was a one-time visit for us, we will not go back. So glad this opened closer to me. I used to go to the one in Gardena but ever since moving to OC I hardly take that trip just to eat. This spot wasn't nearly as busy as their other locations which is a blessing because I hate waiting lol. I've been to a couple locations in the south bay but was surprised about the orange county location! I ordered the short ribbed Benedict. It was amazing. I wasn't sure about the corn in it but it gave it a tad of sweetness to go with the savory. I would order again!! I also got the shrimp and grits. Sooo good. The poached egg thru me off when it came but after tasting it. It was delicious. For dessert got the pancake flight. Comes with 3 pancakes. My favorite was the chocolate Charlie brown (more like a dessert), then the pineapple upside down pancakes, and the 3rd one was the banana. All good. Our server Andrea was amazing. Our table was dirty and I had to ask the server for some napkins. This was our first time here and as we walked up I told my wife if they have pastrami I'm going to order it. Well they have an egg sandwich and fries with pastrami but no sandwich??? Are they trying to portray a southern themed breakfast joint? Anyway... I ordered ala carte biscuits and gravy plus eggs over easy. $4.00 each - okay. (I wasn't going to pay $17 for the "Southern" breakfast that added two strips of bacon and potatoes). The menu said sausage gravy. That was a joke. They might have shown a package of sausage to the pan? Then added some weird spice and sprinkled some green garnish? The biscuits were sooo under cooked almost doughy in the middle. The bottom of these barely even had any brown color on them. I asked the manager about them and they didn't even make them on site. Figures. Gravy from a bag? I took two bites just to check them out and it was a mouthful of mush. You might have thought the server noticed when she came and saw them virtually untouched, by but no. I guess that must be the norm when any goof dares orders biscuits and gravy. Five dollars for a single small blueberry pancake. (A dollar upcharge for half a dozen blueberries). Let me start by saying that this is one of the best places ever to have breakfast!! We had the buttermilk fried chicken that was absolutely amazing!!! Then we didn't know exactly what kind of pancakes to choose ( so many and they all sounded great), and the great waiter offered us a current promotion called pancake flight that gave us the opportunity to actually try 3 different types! We picked one cinnamon roll pancake, one guava and cream pancake and one lemon dream pancake..... Holly cannoli!!!! Couldn't be better, seriously!!!! The Good: food came out quickly and service was attentive. The pancakes were good (I appreciate you can buy a single pancake for $5 which allowed us to try different flavors) - the guava and tiramisu flavors were unique and tasty. The Bad: the fish in the fish & chips were comically small...literally the size of my fingers. This was my first time here, and I'll definitely be back! It was very busy, but we got there at a good time and were seated within 10 minutes, which gave us enough time to look over the menu. The service was great and the food was amazing. We ordered the pancake flight (which is a wonderful option if you're indecisive like me), and we picked the lemon dream, cinnamon roll, and strawberry paradise. I'm actually not a huge of cinnamon rolls, but the flavor was incredible! None of the pancakes were too sweet, and I found the portions to be perfect. We also ordered the chicken club sandwich and the pizzagna as we heard good things about both, and they didn't disappoint! I have been taking my family here about once a month and have loved every visit. We have slowly watched the Sunday crown increase to the point that you will have to wait a little wait to get seated now. The reason for this wait is because the food is amazing. They really care about what you are tasting and make sure it is something worth the wait and the money. If you go with a good attitude knowing it will be crowded, you will leave with a smile and full belly. Kids LOVE the lemon pancake and the chicken fingers and the cheese sticks. Just stopped by this "hot and new" joint today and was pleasantly surprised! The Manager was very friendly and personable. He mentioned they opened about 5 weeks ago and while busy on the weekend, the weekdays are a bit slower. I'd stop by midweek if I was in the area. The menu was pretty extensive and the big perk was that breakfast was served all day. Started off with a hot vanilla latte which was actually great! Whatever flavoring they use is better than the normal generic syrup most places use. I wasn't sure if I wanted the Lemon Pancakes or Stuffed French Toast, but based off the Manager's rec, I went with the pancakes. They were huge! So so Delicious! Sweet without being overwhelming. I ordered a side of turkey bacon, which I probably could have done without for the price. My husband had a scrambler and really enjoyed it! I'm not sure the vibes of the place: the mural up front is graffiti style, while the decor is country chic, while the mocktail decor was 50s vibe. I think honing in on its vibe/feel would help the brand! The service was good (though they're still figuring out some things, understandably) and there's plenty of parking. My biggest complaint was that the seats are unbearably uncomfortable. The booths are bound to be better, but the metal chairs make it hard to get comfy or stay long. If you have someone with even remote body pains, they'll find sitting on the chair very difficult pretty early on. 4.5 stars: We'll totally come back! This is my second time coming to The Pan and def will be back. I get the signature Pan scrambler and it was so tasty. The Italian sausage really makes this dish. My bf got the Mediterranean omelet and choc pb pancakes. The omelet is always made with fresh ingredients and the pancakes melt in your mouth. I'm also a black coffee drinker and I will say, not bad. Not bad at all. The service is amazing. They are very attentive and we got our food very fast. The music is always good too. Don't sleep on this place. I kind of had a high expectation on this place due to the good ratings but my experience was not even close to what others say here. The food was in small portion and taste was very bland. It was not restaurant quality food. Sausage was under cooked , potatoes tastes like it's from frozen bag sold in supermarket. Waffle was mush. Coffee was lukewarm. The pork was juicy and flavorful, the ham added a nice saltiness, and the Swiss melted beautifully into the soft-yet-crispy bread. The mustard and pickles brought that tangy bite that makes a Cuban sandwich so addicting. Every bite had a crunch, a melt, and a punch of flavor--just the way it should be. The Pan Rocks! Happy to see they've opened up a new location in Santa Ana since we were heartbroken when our beloved Pasadena location closed during Covid. The menu has something for everyone and the service is attentive-- checking in frequently, asking about refills, etc. The place is so cute and welcoming. We got the chile verde hash (crunchy hashed browns underneath!), fish tacos, and my husband's favorite chile verde and egg burrito. All so delicious and hit the spot. Came in for breakfast on a Friday for breakfast. Was warmly greeted by Josue and immediately seated. Ordered coffee to sip on while deciding on what to eat! Coffee was great!!! Ordered the Chorizo Scramble which was very flavorful and completely scratched the itch for chorizo! Will definitely return to The Pan! They have tea listed on the menu so I asked what kind. The server said too many to list tell me what you want. Asked if they had 2 standard tea bags they didn't have either which not a problem but she couldn't offer alternatives or even tell me what they had. Ended up ordering a latte (a standard powder mix). Not great. Food meh will not return. At the end showed her a 20% off she said it'll ask you after you pay. It did not. Terrible service. read more

So happy we got a new Breakfast spot so close to my house. This place popped up while I was browsing Yelp. I was slightly skeptical at first, as the few pics on Yelp didn't look great, but I saw that it was a mini chain out of Long Beach. The menu gave me "Snooze" vibes, so we went to check it out. The staff was still learning, but our waitress was super attentive. They have a choice between home style potato's or hash browns (please see my previous rants, I hate "homestyle" potatoes and won't eat somewhere that doesn't have hash browns) and the list of sweet desserts was amazing.
