We had a pancake craving and decided to check out the Pan and it did not disappoint. First of all our server Aurora was super nice and attentive along with the rest of staff who greeted us. The inside is laid out a bit packed but the food and service make up for the ambiance. I ordered the lumberjack breakfast with a side of the lemon dream pancakes and it was great. With the lumberjack breakfast you get 2 sausages, bacon, eggs, and potatoes so it is a hearty meal. I think a little more seasoning on the potatoes wouldn't have hurt but in general it was still flavorful. The real star of the show was the lemon dream pancakes they were fluffy and just what I was hoping for. The lemon curd, butter, and whipped cream were a great combination and made for a really moist pancake that was both sweet and tart. If you go here be sure to try the pancakes since that seems to be their specialty. We are looking forward to coming back to try the other pancake flavors since this one was a hit. read more

Went with 4 girlfriends after a hike in PV. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. My friends both ordered cappuccinos and ended up sending them back. They both said it tasted like straight whole milk. The restaurant is itself was clean and the service was pretty quick. What did rub me the wrong way is literally less than five minutes after paying our waitress came to our table and asked us to leave because there was a party of seven waiting. It seemed odd since there were other parties that were there before us and they weren't asked to leave. We were the ones that stuck out like a sore thumb since we weren't Caucasian or Asian and that seemed to be the whole demographic there. I have only been here once but I definitely enjoyed my meal here. I had the guava and cream pancake and they were unique and delicious. I believe I had a second helping because it was that good. Im writing this very disappointed. I had high hopes for this place many people telling me how good it was. Strike 1: To start we are a larger party of 8 but two of us were missing they would not sit us unless the entire party was there! I would understand if it was only 2 people asking for a table of 8 but 75% of the group was already there! Strike 2: they finally sit us and it took about 8/9 minutes before anybody approached us to get our drink order. Now my family and I are the type to read a menu and can decide fairly quickly what we want. So when the server finally approached our table we put in our entire order because who knows how long it would've taken to order drinks then wait for them to come back and take our food order. Mind you the restaurant at the time we entered was maybe half full. Strike 3:when they told us to wait for the rest of our party they told us we had to wait outside! My wife my four kids and I had to wait OUTSIDE! Unbelievable. For the time we had to wait and the service we got the food was mediocre at best. Had we been treated a little nicer and greeted a little better the experience would've different The only saving Grace to this place is the speed in which the food came out. They slice their potatoes thin to cook them faster and the eggs well are eggs. Same with bacon and sausage my wife got the stuffed French toast and I got the pineapple upside down pancakes. Alcohol is coming! They are waiting on their license but I know some people need a mimosa with their food. As a tea drinker they offer chamomile or green tea with extra hot water I ordered the veggie omelet with an upgraded waffle and I was extremely pleased. The potatoes with some bell peppers and onions were crispy and well seasoned, the omelette was not dry and well packed with spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers and onions. It comes with cheese but I took that off. In love with this location because we got seated immediately around 10-ish . It got packed shortly after. The waffle was fluffy and buttery. I don't like syrup so they offer a tray with butters, strawberry and grape jam. I looked at the cocktails and they looked so good but I'm not a soda drinker and they have sprite - minus the mangonada cocktail which comes with mango puree. Definitely saving this spot. I ordered there meat lovers omelet, and when it got here, the other half of the omelet, wasn't even there. Other half being the bottom side. It was just a egg laid on top of the meat and nothing else on the bottom to hold the meat in. It was also pretty bland tasting, so I can't say it was exactly great or anything. I already ordered a waffle, but that was good, obviously. Hard to exactly mess that up. The potatoes though, that came as a side with my omelet, however, was pretty bland, which I know, I shouldn't be expecting much since it's potatoes, but some seasoning wouldn't have hurt to put on at least. Overall, pretty disappointed since this place was recommended to me as having really good food, which could still be true, and I just ordered the wrong things, but my experience with this place is being underwhelming. read more

My mom and I got some takeout on a Saturday and it was super busy. We had breakfast earlier in the morning so we want a light brunch. We ordered the loaded hash with buttermilk pancakes. The loaded hash browns were really good, the sauce they put on top went well together with the cheese, the eggs, bacon, and the sausage. The best part was the buttermilk pancakes. It was probably one of the best pancakes I've ever had and it's kind of unfortunate because I do live pretty far from here so I'm kind of sad about that. When I'm in the area again, I will definitely come back. Since we did takeout, it took about 15 minutes. And if you plan on eating at the spot, there looked to be quite a wait on the day we went, which was Saturday. While they do have regular pancakes, their "thing" is specialty pancakes: lemon curd, bananas foster, pineapple upside down cake, etc. we tried the lemon dream pancakes as well as the chile verde breakfast burrito and the pancakes were the star of the show! Actually insane. Still thinking about them. The portions here are generous and staff here was friendly. The restaurant isn't a place you would come strictly for the ambiance. It's in a strip mall type location by the Torrance auto mall but the food and warm hospitality make up for that. I will be back again to try more pancakes. read more

Decided to come try this place out before going to the mall, and I'm glad we did as we all had an amazing breakfast. The wait time was not too long, we came around 11 AM and only had to wait about 30 minutes which was ok with us. We just sat outside and waited. Once inside it's not a huge dining area but they still have plenty of seats. Our waitress was super attentive and made sure we understood the menu. For my meal I got the steak and eggs. For $18 I didn't know what to expect but i was pleasantly surprised. The steak was cooked exactly how I asked of it and the sides, which were house potatoes and eggs were all delicious. For the price I think it's a great value. If I'm ever in the are again I will come eat breakfast here. The only thing is that I do wish they served mimosas. read more

First time to this location. I hadn't been to any of the Pan restaurants in years, but today's food was so good! I ordered the Mediterranean omelette with no feta and upgraded the toast to a strawberry pancake and my daughter enjoyed the fresh strawberries that came on top. The omelette was so good- I don't know why I never thought of putting artichokes in my omelette! I think they sprinkled oregano on top- it was a nice touch. The house potatoes on the side were nice too- little crispy bits and soft slices bits of potato. Everything was salted nicely- not too salty. I samples my nephew's fries and they were so good! Thick, a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I think they were so delicious because they were well salted! I appreciated that the waitress made a note that we had severe nut allergies and she said they would cook the food on a separate grill. Would definitely come back. Been hearing a lot of great things about The Pan so decided to give it a try for the first time! Went in for lunch on a Friday before Mother's Day and had such a great experience. Plenty of parking and the store is easy to find along PCH. Upon entering, we were greeted with friendly staff and a very bright/welcoming interior. Luckily there was no wait and the food came out fairly quickly. We tried the two egg breakfast+guava n crème pancake, and kielbasa omelette+banana pancake. Both so delicious and filling. The omelette wasn't too heavy which I really enjoyed. The banana pancake was also sooo good. Great cinnamon, walnut, and banana flavors. There were so many appealing options on the menu, I'd really like to try the Short Rib Benedict next time. Our server Aurora was so enthusiastic and friendly, we loved her! She was so kind in giving us helpful suggestions with the menu and always checking in on us.
