The ambiance was very old school Italian which we loved. The food was a bit of a mixed experience. The Arancini was outstanding, crispy on the outside, perfectly flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. The Carbonara was good, rich and satisfying. Unfortunately, the Filet Mignon Gorgonzola was disappointing and didn't quite meet our expectations. Overall, the service and a few standout dishes made for a pleasant evening. read more

The owner actually tried to have me trespassed by the police after I gave a 1-star review for finding a female's acrylic nail in my salad. How do you trespass on somebody over a review experience after they left the business? Nice try! BTW, Why would I come back just to find another fingernail in my food? Yep! You are still in my head for good memories as you put it as you're living in my head. It ain't that! It's just that I am not going to ignore you not apologizing or compensating for your mistake and then try to claim that I was attempting to extort you for money on a dinner refund after biting twice into a fake nail and a bedazzled gem that was part of the fingernail. I'm updating my review from 1 year ago. We are out of state visitors so came back this year after enjoying the food last year. Table-side Carbonara was still yummy and fun. Service fine. But here's my take on the "service charge" automatically added to the bill for a party of 2. We didn't notice until after we left the restaurant. If it was added last year we didn't notice! Is this charge because we paid with credit card? Is it an automatic tip supplement? We don't recall any notice on the menu alerting us to this. Not from the wait staff either. So my point is, Nonna Ina, you need to be upfront about this charge. Yes, I would have adjusted my tip downward accordingly. Patrons take note. read more

Food was steaming hot upon arrival. Portions were generous. The lasagna was the best ever. Perfect combination of ingredients and flavors. (The ham was a bit different but nonetheless delicious.). Plentiful portions and friendly staff. I almost didn't post a review because of the messy feud going on in the comments, but honestly, it's kind of funny. My experience was with a big family table, and the person I think is the owner, along with his daughter, was super nice and attentive. They even personally served us some of the best espresso ever. There was so much food that we had to box up a lot of it, but it was all tasty. We did get a kick out of finding random grapes and sometimes strawberries getting warm on several of the dishes--it was a quirky touch that added to the charm. read more

The carbonara flavor was good, but the sauce was thin--like it had no egg in it. The experience of having it made at the table was fun, but my friend's recipe is at least as good. Nonna Ina happens to be located near my place in St. George, so it's a quick drive when I want to get dinner. Tonight, I made a reservation and dined in. Perhaps it was because today was Halloween, or maybe because I was a party of one dining at 5pm, but a reservation wasn't really needed. However, if I was to return with a group during prime dining time, I'd probably make a reservation, just to be safe. Service was attentive and friendly, with just the right amount of formality. My server knew the menu well and made good recommendations, including wine pairings and dietary restrictions. I appreciated that I had my own bottle of water at the table, so I never ran out. I drink a lot of water. I ordered the Penne Al Tono E Pomodorino, which is a penne pasta with tomato sauce and tuna. It was really strange, but good. I've never had a combination of red sauce with tuna, and I'm not sure I'd order it again, but it was ok. The strawberry in the middle was an odd touch-maybe something they do in Italy, although I'm not familiar with that twist on the cuisine. Overall, it's a good upscale place with an interesting menu-nothing boring here. I'd probably return and try something else, I'm sure everything is delicious. read more

We were here on a Friday night and the place was only half filled. I do find it very strange that any business in 2023 does not have a website - PLEASE, just have a simple one with your menu, I beg of you! The door to the dining room was open and it was too hot inside for my liking (I do not believe there were any diners outside), so let us enjoy the air conditioning please. The bread they serve is warm and very fluffy. We ordered a small Caesar to split (the small is HUGE!), I wish they had mixed the dressing into the salad rather than glops of it. We also ordered the burrata wrapped in prosciutto. They were both fine, nothing to blow me away. Then I really had my hopes on the pasta that is "prepared" table side inside a wheel of parmesan cheese. Note, It is not really prepared table side, if you are watching closely, the pasta is already mixed with all the ingredients, they just finish it in the cheese wheel, which they have lit on fire. A gimmick really. It tasted fine, it was rich - but kudos at least to another large portion. Service was good, the bathrooms were clean, and the parking was easy. read more

Very loud live music on Friday. Thankful sat outside though... in spiderweb covered chairs. Long wait for items that were not worth it. Wine was mixed up. A medium rare was served well. Giving two stars because I have never laughed so hard at a dinner before. We met friends here for dinner (party of 4) and we were all excited to give this place a try. First off, decor is pretty lacking and tables feel like fold out tables, not very sturdy. But, some of my favorite places are not the nicest so I was hopeful. Waitress was friendly but seemed hurried in a place that was not busy. We ordered a burrata for an appetizer and we weren't very impressed. Usually it has a creamy inside but this was pretty set and more like a solid ball of mozzarella. We ordered our entrees and they came out pretty quickly. Two of us ordered the pollo boscaiola, one ordered the fettuccine they made at your table with the cheese wheel and the 4th person ordered farfallette salmone. All came out at the same time so that is a bonus, but that is about where anything good ends. The chicken tasted like left over sliced and reheated chicken breast with cream of mushroom poured over it. The potatoes were totally reheated wedges drowned in the sauce. My friend and I were laughing so hard at this dish because we would take a bite and get the most random things in it like dried apricot! It was awful! When the waitress asked if we liked it we said no, it was not at all what we were expecting and she apologized and that was it. Both of us ended up taking it home to give to my teenager to get his reaction. He accused us of messing with him and said we made this and reheated it. Nope... Cheese wheel came out and friend 3 was up at plate. We have traveled the world for military and have eaten amazing Italian food, this again was not it. I don't know if the wheel isn't properly kept, but it tasted terrible. Did not taste like a good parm should. She again let the wait staff know it tasted off. But nothing was done as I think the staff is scared of someone. Husband got the salmon and he said it was fine but def not worth the trouble. Pasta again was nothing special. He said why bother even saying something is not good because they just say sorry and walk away. We will not be back. There really wasn't a saving grace and it was memorable due to the amount of laughing we did. Seriously, I would be made that we wasted so much food and money, but it was so hilarious. it was Valentines Day. they were very busy. food was excellent. now service was not prepared for the event. we had an acceptable level of service but two tables next to us did not we were done with our dinner before the other table was even served, and they sat way before us. the owners were walking the floor, but I didn't see the attention to the matter appropriately addressed. I was embarrassed and felt bad for all. my suggestion is ownership have a regroup with stafff and right the ship. What a nice little Italian restaurant, a family run business. We had a party of 10 on a Tuesday night, and we were seated promptly, had our drinks quickly, and the food came out fairly fast. And, oh, the food...the food was delicious. Huge portions, and I was quite sure that I wouldn't finish mine, but I did. The spaghetti and meatballs were fantastic, the salmon in cream sauce was great, and the table side preparation of the carbonara was exquisite. Tiramisu or cheesecake for dessert, and all at reasonable prices. Keep an eye out for the adorable little 10 year old girl who helps to serve the food as it comes out. Great little place off the beaten path. This Italian restaurant is in Green Valley. It's delicious! The caprese appetizers was a great way to start our meal.
