Tried to book a rehearsal dinner here and each person I talked to gave me different info than the one before. The last person I reached was very rude and unwilling to work with me. My name and number where taken multiple time to call me back and NOT ONCE did that happen. The only thing that was decent about them was the first lady I talked to emailed me the menus to choose from since they were not available on the website. it amuses me when a business has a mess of great reviews from satisfied customers, and always there's one chap who's meal was the worst ever and obviously Yelp is the place to complain..hmm I've eaten at this location on several occasions, and each and every time I am left feeling very satisfied and content. the name Pasta House does not promise an authentic Italian dinner, it does however promise Italian-Americanized food and that is what you get, served hot and tasty on a regular basis. Pasta house has been a staple for family dining for many years, they offer tasty food and a somewhat reasonable price, (prices have gone up considerably over the years) they offer a pasta special every day of the week, including an all you can eat pasta night. the menu is loaded with many different items to choose from, and there's plenty of choices to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters like myself. Our server was quick to seat us and take our drink order, and she was very prompt in returning with them to take our food orders. once the order was taken we didn't have to wait too long before the food arrived. once our food arrived we had a couple of issues with the server forgetting things, she jokingly played it off that her brain was scattered and that it was Monday. but that excuse can only work once when it was tried several times. We finally got all of requests and needs taken care of, and while the server could have done a little better, I'm a firm believer we all have bad days, and this one was obviously was one for our server. regardless of the service, we still felt very satisfied with our meal and our experience at this Pasta House and plan to return for more visits. read more

Over seasoned fettuccine alfredo when ordered on two occasions. Maybe a red sauce would be better? Service was average with the waitress suggesting I add mozzarella cheese to offset the saltiness. My son ordered the chicken marsala which was also over seasoned. Bread and salad was tasty. If you want a good, authentic Italian meal this is NOT the place. read more

I have been to this Pasta House several times and have had mixed results. However, on January 24, 2020 around 5:30 pm we had a great experience with the spectacular service we received from a young lady. This was the best service I have ever received from any restaurant, including the "5" star STL ones. We tipped well as she deserved it. She was friendly, timely and attentive. If she was my waitress all the time, I would eat there too much. Management, please hire more like her!! read more

Just ate there for lunch and would really recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. We ordered their special of the day and the portion size was more than enough. The price was good. Went here for the first time since its near our house. Extremely disappointing. When we got there we seen a sign that says closing early due to a party so we felt rushed. Once seated we didn't see a waiter/waitress for 10 minutes. During that time we reviewed the menu and this place is extremely overpriced and noisy. Don't recommend at all. I thought it would be cool because I do not have to drive all the way to St. Louis to get some Italian food but next time I will make the drive. This place feels crowded because the seating is wrong. I was extremely disappointed in our carryout experience tonight. I arrived home with our order and one of the meals was missing, so I called the restaurant to inquire. They said I could either come back to get it or they could take my information and I could have it for "free" next time. I needed it for one of my family members so I drove back to pick it up. When I arrived home for the second time, I learned that one of the pastas that was supposed to have no mushrooms had mushrooms and one of the side salads that was supposed to have no artichoke hearts had artichoke hearts. At this point, we dealt with it and ate but it was very frustrating when you pay that much and your order isn't correct. I will probably not order carry out from this location again. read more

This is hands down the best PH in the STL area. After only coming to the bar twice the entire staff knew me by name. We have 6 kids and the wait staff has ALWAYS treated them with the most respect rather than "put out." They have the best bar prices in JeffCo. read more

I never thought a Pasta House would be a regular hangout for me until this one opened in Festus. It's not your ordinary Pasta House! It has a large, relaxing bar area. There are food and drink specials in the bar area after 9 and during games (baseball, hockey). Plus, pizzas are 1/2 price after 8. Live music on Fridays and Saturdays at 9 pm. We just don't seem to have much luck at this Pasta House. Generally speaking, the food is OK (not the greatest Italian, but then I grew up eating on the Hill) but the service time after time ruins, or at least greatly dampens, the experience. To give the latest example: My wife and I were in the restaurant with only two other tables occupied. We ordered before-dinner mixed drinks and an appetizer prior to ordering our meal. The appetizer, a giant meatball, came out -- but no drinks and no bread. Still waiting, we ordered our dinners, which included salad. The salads came out, and a few minutes later, when we were about halfway through that course, our "before-dinner" drinks finally arrived. Still, no bread, however, and when we asked if we could get some rolls, the server said they had just put some in and they would be done an a few minutes. Why would you serve both an appetizer (giant meatball) and salad, both of which cry out for a dinner roll, before you have any rolls? The entrees were served shortly after and were fine, as usual -- not great, but fine. Here's the thing: something of this nature seems to happen every time we eat there. They just don't seem to be able to serve a meal properly. And, to top it off, when I have said something to the manager, I was met with a distant stare while not particularly convincingly mouthing the word, "Sorry." Seriously, that was it. I've also written a complaint on their copy of the CC receipt, including my name and phone number. No response. We still eat there occasionally because my wife likes their food enough to put up with the service; and, as another reviewer has mentioned, there's not much equivalent without driving much further. So, to me, Pasta House Festus is kind of like original Listerine: it gets the job done, but it's not a particularly pleasant experience. read more

have gone several time. very good food, huge selection, and huge portions. the staff has always been very nice. Would like to have a glass with a mug for my draft beer though. Maybe some Coors light or Miller light on draft. That would get them 5 stars from me. Draft beer choices are limited. But that doesn't stop us, the food is great. It amuses me when one reviewer criticizes the review of another, but in the spirit of pointing out the obvious while writing my own review, I digress... I have visited the Festus Pasta House at least 6 times since it opened for various activities including lunch, dinner, happy hour with friends, visiting with ex-coworkers, and a going away celebration with 10 people in the group. Each time was pleasant with no complaints and the service and food was always quite good. If you prefer bland pasta, then I might suggest a different restaurant because Pasta House has always been known for it's flavorful sauces, fillings, and pestos. Delicious! Depending on the activity I'm there (or any restaurant) for, I request an appropriate seating area based on the experience I want to have (intimate=dining room, camaraderie=bar) and the hostess has always been happy and willing to accommodate. The "bar" area is exactly that -- a bar -- so if you have children with you then don't opt to sit in that section unless you're prepared to experience a bar atmosphere and the language or noise that might accompany it. Logical...right? You'd think so. Having said that, I do feel that the entrance/waiting area is ill placed for those with children or who don't want to hear or be surrounded by a bar environment. Room for improvement! I, personally, am very pleased to have access to a restaurant with great food and this type of versatility and feel that a chain restaurant that doesn't evolve is limiting itself to a lifetime of one type of consumer, so kudos to the owner for his/her decision to incorporate areas with different atmospheres into their name-brand establishment. If you don't like a bar atmosphere, ask to sit in the dining room where you can experience the old-school feeling of an earlier built Pasta House. You're the consumer....take control of your situation! Bon appétit! read more

We had dinner here last night. I had the grilled salmon with red pasta, it very good tonight! The hubs had the ravioli, he was pleased with it. The salad was cold and crisp. The server was young and friendly enough. There were quite a few new faces of the wait staff. read more

Update: Made spaghetti and meatballs last night with frozen Wal Mart meatball and Ragu sauce and it was much better than pasta House.

So I want to say first I LOVED Pasta House, this past weekend Saturday Jan. 28, 2017, I met my mother and step-dad with my husband for lunch. We walked in and there was a wire wrapped around the chair that my husband had to untangle before I could sit down. Then the waitress came over before we even got our coats off, we asked for a few min and with an attitude she was gone. After sitting there for 15 min she finally came back, we ordered. The salad was made with old lettuce, it was gross. Then we had only had the salad for 5 min at the most and the waitress brought out our pasta, with four people eating salad at the table there wasn't room for this so we just gave her our salad because she just stood there and looked at us like well are you done. My husband and I split a dish and one bite into it there was a HAIR. I'm sorry this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant! They did take just the pasta with hair off the bill but no one else continued to eat, as a manager seeing this ruined everyone's meal it should have been for free. On top of the horrible food and service, it was dirty and every table had coasters under them to keep from wobbling I expected more than that from Pasta House. Completely and utterly grossed out. Sorry Pasta House probably won't be back. read more

We had a group of six to eat. It took over an hour from the time we ordered to get our food. Two of us ordered Fettuccine and it was so bad. It tasted like it had been under the warmer for a long time. I hate to say, but we won't be back. Poppy's is so much better. read more

Terrible! Have ordered to-go orders from this place twice now. The first time instead of telling me their location does not serve cannelici they instead cooked several orders of CANNELONI and asked me to foot the ridiculously high bill. Second time we placed a ph order then showed up 30 mins later to find they had no record of our order at all! The girl answering the ph remembered taking our order but somehow it vanished between there and the cashier. Food is average for the franchise, but appears to be mostly staffed by teens who have no clue. Wont be back. read more
