First, I'll start by saying that it was not busy and there was no excuse for this. The waitress was awful. She was extremely rude to the young lady she was training. When she was introducing her to us, she said "What is your name again? I'll remember it eventually." I felt bad for the young lady who was training and I can't believe they had this waitress training someone! When we were eating our salads, my 11 year old son found a bag tab clip in his salad. When we told the waitress, she acted like it was no big deal and her reply was "Those are the tabs from the bags that the rolls come in. One must have fallen off into the salad." As more food came out, none of the old salad plates or cups were removed. There were 6 of us and the table was full of dirty dishes and cups while we were eating our main meal. AVOID. I called with a pickup order after looking at their menu on-line. This is a direct copy of what their menu says..."Spaghetti Bolognese (or Mostaccioli) 10./12.5". Now, how to you read that? To me it was spaghetti for $10 and mostacciolli for $12.50. NOOOOOO. It's small for $10 and large for $12.50. No where on the menu were portions mentioned. $5 salad. So, I thought $15 + tax. It was $19+ total for a Spaghetti Bolognese and salad. Think about that. I was told all dinner items are the higher "large" price. I should have walked out then. Okay, then you receive your $20 meal in a bag. It supposedly a large size...but it's really not. Half the pasta has no sauce on it. It's cold because I was told 30 minutes before it would be ready. Do you really think slapping pre-prepared pasta, sauce and salad into a to-go container(s) takes 30 MINUTES? Therefore, cold food. NO parmesan cheese...remember this is a $12.50 dish. That "famous meat sauce" is very lacking of meat and not close to great. The salad is good, but there is only one small piece of artichoke heart. I don't mind them making money, but this is robbery. Me and my boyfriend came here for dinner and the food was horrible. He ordered a dish that had bacon in it and he picked it all out, it looked like the kitchen had specifically cut off the fat on the bacon and put it in his pasta. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it tasted like it came from the frozen isle.The restaurant was slow and there was still dirty tables when the servers were sitting around eating and talking. Recipe's have changed, and not for the better. The Pasta house used to be one of my all time favorite restaurants, but far from that anymore. I always get their pasta con broccoli which used to be delicious but has been replaced with a bland, mushy, almost inedible dish. My wife wanted Pasta House for her birthday, so we looked online for the menu and clicked on the O'Fallon location. We called in an order for 2 salads and 3 entrees, 2 of which had shrimp added for $3 each. Well, at least that is what the price on the online menu showed (see pic). We picked it up and drove home, only to find one entree missing shrimp. We looked at the receipt and we were charged an additional $3.99 on 2 entrees. So not only did my wife's dinner not have her requested shrimp, they charged us too much for it! We called the restaurant and spoke to a manager (Dave), who promptly said, "Yeah, corporate hasn't updated the price." OK, Dave, we ordered it based on a price tag of $3, not $3.99. At a minimum, he should have offered us a refund of $4.98. Did he? HECK NO!!!! He just said that corporate needs to update it and would not refund the overcharged amount. Good luck getting any additional business from us, Mr. Customer Service Dave! You win the jerk manager of the week award! No wonder your restaurant only has a TWO-STARS RATING (average)! Wow this was the worst meal I ever had from here. In the past it's always been decent 3 or 4 stars. But this time we ordered it to go and it was awful. I ordered some toasted ravs and pasta con broccoli, also a salad. The t-ravs were absolutely soggy and rubbery, the salad barely had any dressing with it and the pasta was watered down with absolutely no flavor at all. I even tried to add some garlic from my spices and it didn't help. I had others try it just to make sure it wasn't just me. Two of the three spit it out. I have eaten in at this location in the past with no issue so not sure what happened. One thing for sure is I will never order to go again. In fact I'm leery to eat here again for the price you pay. Sorry Pasta House but you may have lost a customer. So much better elsewhere. By the way I live in the subdivision behind the restaurant less than 2 minutes away, so it wasn't that it sat too long. I have been to many different locations for this restaurant and this has been the worst one. I ordered the Fettuccine and it tasted mostly like pepper. My grandma ordered the fish and chips and it tasted for like lemon than it did fish. The rolls were old and dry and the salad was coated in so much dressing it was hard to eat. I have never written a review before, but I feel I need to address my experiences at this Pasta House. I have dined at this location three times in the past year, each with similar results. About a year ago, my party of five (all adults) were seated in the bar area, despite a half-full dining room. We waited for over an hour after we ordered for our food, which arrived stone-cold for all of us. After talking to the manager, the food was re-heated, without any other consolation or remedy. Accordingly, I did not return for six months. On my second visit, my party of three had to wait nearly 2 hours for our food. It wasn't like our food was prepared immediately after the other diners. The other diners got their food, ate it, drank coffee and chatted for an hour, left and we still waited, eventually the last people in the restaurant. It was galling, as if the restaurant had some vendetta against us. We did not have a demanding order, in fact we ordered the monthly specials. Once again, we paid full price, without any recognition of our inconvenience. Despite this, I decided to give them another try six months later. On my visit last night, once again we waited about 40 minutes for food after we ordered. After 40 minutes, only two people of the five attending were served, the remaining three people were told the pizza oven can sometimes be slow. It was another 20 minutes before everyone was served. The initial two people served, with the permission of the other diners, had already finished eating. We mentioned the delay to our server, who was new and didn't understand we wished to eat together. I can only surmise that this restaurant is just badly managed. I have patiently provided three opportunities, hoping I could add this restaurant to my routine dining options, but have been disappointed each time. I now realize why this restaurant is generally half-full, while the restaurants all over O'Fallon are slammed on a Saturday night. read more

Definitely in between a Fazolis and an Olive Garden. My kiddos wanted to try it, so we hopped in for dinner. The rolls were warm, the pasta con broccoli and the kids fettuccini Alfredo were good. I think it's a bit crazy to charge $5 for a side salad that doesn't come with a $15 pasta plate. And the whole salad had only 1 artichoke. We have been frequent diners at several Past House restaurants and this was the first really bad experience. Yesterday, with early arrival around 11:25AM, the service was bad and the food not very good. Apparently, they burned the first pizza (for my grandkids) and when the second was finally delivered along with the rest of the food (after a 1 hour wait) it too was "overcooked" and the eggplany (mine) was cold. The waiter was apologetic at that point, but had stayed scarce and did not offer timely refills on drinks or any other consideration. Horrible service. Our waiter barely gave us a second glance after bringing our drinks. I ordered the pasta alla carbonara and the sauce was so watery it sat in the bottom of my dish. I went to the O'Fallon location a few weeks ago and had the worst service there. But first, I was greeted with a party of servers just hanging out in the dining room, right in front of the door. I thought maybe they were having a meeting or something, but no, just hanging out. My server Tonya was totally awkward and made things very uncomfortable. It took her over 5 minutes to even greet us. We ordered the baked ziti...yes, I understand it's not on the menu but we've got it to...ns of times before and it was excellent. Instead of ringing that in, she took the liberty of ringing in something with sausage for my boyfriend. Thank goodness he wasn't allergic or kosher! When we realized what came out looked nothing like baked ziti, she told us it wasn't on the menu so she rang in something close to it. Probably a discussion best suited before ringing in. We ordered salad minus the artichokes. A dry salad came out with a bottle of dressing on the side. Many times have they tossed it for me but no. No extra plate to even mix it in. On top of that, couldn't even get a plate. My boyfriend had to walk to the back to get one himself, even though the waitress saw him no help. He didn't want the sausage meal he didn't order, so ended up getting some toasted ravioli's. They came out burnt. Oh by the way we also ordered cheese bread and it took them over 35 minutes to bring it to out table. After this experience, as well as going to a pasta house pronto and being told they were closed and we couldn't order a meal to go (keep in mind it was 50 minutes before they actually closed), and another time we went to the Pasta House in St. Peters and they were actually closing their doors over 50 minutes early so we couldn't eat there. (No snow, no anything., we decided to contact a manager. Sam Garanzini told us he was having a manager call us from O'Fallon, he wanted us to take notes, then he would follow back up with us. After the O'Fallon manager took two days to call us back, some poor excuses were served up regarding the server was new (even though she had years of past serving experience). Also another manager was new...blah blah pretty much ten million excuses but no responsibility for what happened. No call back from Sam, one of the head honchos of Pasta House, even though he told us he'd follow up. We even emailed him back with our notes from the conversation, but nothing. Why make us jump through all these hoops telling us to take notes and have the manager call us, etc. No resolution to the problem. I will not be back. So many Italian places around here and have this type of service with no one who gives a care about it is enough for me. Thank you for your absolutely terrible experiences, and I'm being generous on that one. Given the 18 people on this page that have given your restaurants one star, I'll spend my money somewhere else. If you look at the menu's for the different Pasta House locations (Internet site) You will see that the O:fallon Pasta house is (on most items 10 to 30 percent higher in price. Why? Pasta House used to be a staple for my St. Louis-native family. Unfortunately, quality has declined in recent years. Some favorites are still quite tasty, including the chicken flamingo and house salad, but wait time and other menu items leave much to be desired. read more

The only thing good about this location is Becky and its standard fare pasta house food. They are consistently under staffed which is not cool. There is never anyone at the front to seat you, servers are in short supply and it takes a long time to get your food. We moved a few hundred yards from this location a year ago and thought it would be so great to have a PH right next door... Boy were we wrong! We have ordered carry out 7-8 times this past year and tonight was the last straw. I was told it would be ready in 20 min. , arrived and waited 20 more minutes to get my order. For the 6 th time my order was incorrect and luckily I was checking my order before leaving. I barely got a "I'm sorry" from the hostess and left to get home and find the salads were not a large and small but two mediums with the salad obviously not fresh. This scenario has happened over and over and I never thought I would say this but the ClockTower PH near our old house in Florissant is so much better in every way... Service, food and customer relations. Maybe it would be better if the manager spent more time training and managing then clearing tables and serving food. We ate here last night because it was a request from a friend who we were celebrating her birthday. We are so close to this restaurant that we can walk but we never go because the service is always so bad and we feel it is waaaay to expensive. We feel they nickel and dime you. My pasta was $13 and a salad would have cost another $7! They only bring bread to your table if you order a salad. The restaurant was completely empty at 7:00 when we arrived and yet our food took forever to come and the service was so bad. We had to ask her 2 and 3 times for every single thing we wanted and even then some we never got. She rationed out the rolls as if the cost of them comes out of her paycheck. When I asked for an additional roll her response was "there is one on your plate already!!!!" We downloaded the app to get a free appetizer and then HAD to fill out paperwork stating we actually received the appetizer before she would bring our check. I work in Ofallon and this morning my friends asked we had gone and before I could convey our horrible experience they ALLLLL moaned in unison "Why would you ever go there!!!!!!!" They all had the same experience we did!! They ALL thought it was too expensive and the service was soooo bad. I wish we could rank this restaurant in the negative numbers. The restaurant smells very musty, and or sewer problem! The staff was very unorganized as it was after 11:00 and they weren't ready for customers! The waitress did not know the menu! The salads took forever, The ceaser salad my daughter ordered reaped of fish, I tasted it and almost lost it. Then my salad dressing was old or something?
