I was pleasantly surprised when i went there. My boyfriend got the shredded pork sandwich, delicious. Their bbq sauce is homemade and tangy. My greek salad, also great. We went on a second occassion and tried something else aka chicken on pita, also great. Fast service, good prices ($28 for two soups, two entrees with fries and rice, and a drink) to me thats a good deal, if youre a cheepskate then go to burger king. The patio is awesome one of my favorite bbq joints. And one of my favorites is the bbq beef brisket. Its outstanding if you'd like a lower calorie option the bbq pulled turkey with hot & spicy bbq sauce is fantastic. Also try the roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Our Christmas Eve tradition - the entire family comes over, it's games, dinner and opening presents. We usually get Patio. That's probably going to end with this year. Had this been any other day, they would have had a return of 11 meals and several appetizers, close to $300 of the worst food we have had in a decade. The full slab rib dinners were over-cooked, dry and were 20-40% Jerkey. We managed to choke down under half of each dinner. The baked potatoes went in the trash - undercooked with very hard centers. Mac and Cheese -- stone cold. Appetizers were terrible. Both orders of onion rings were over-cooked and too hard to eat. Fries were the same. The fried zucchini should have been called deep-fried mush with a burned-grease like outer shell. The rest of the meal was more of the same. A total waste of money. Many of us would up visiting the fridge for dinner and snacks. We're less than 10 minutes away and waited for the food after ordering it on the phone - so it did not sit around. I don't know if they were busy, slow or just did not give a damn. We won't be back any time soon. read more

I have been to the Patio many times and have tried many of their menu items. The only 4 items I would recommend are the soda drinks, french fries, soup and brownies. The rest of the menu is either bland, greasy or both. On Sunday I had the barbecue meat loaf. While there was a very large serving of meatloaf..it was light on meat and heavy on filler. Other than the barbecue sauce there was no taste of beef at all. I had two bites and gave it up. This dish was served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. They tasted like they were from a box and were quite runny. This is one of their dinner selections. read more

WAY over rated and over priced fast food restaurant. Staff is indifferent at best and the food is lack luster to say the least.

Patio WOULD get 5 stars from me but occasionally I've gotten meals that weren't as good as they've been previously. I always adore their soups but sometimes the beef in my brisket sandwich was entirely too fatty. But, in general, I'm a happy customer. read more

The Patio has never disappointed me. We hold our twice yearly work reunions here. The food and people are great. I have eaten at many locations and have always gotten the best food. It has a large assortment to please anyone. Everything is always prepared fresh. You can sit and enjoy the company you are with and not be bothered. Some of the best ribs I have ever tasted! I am a bit of a BBQ fanatic and love to try new places but nothing has been able to compare to The Patio. The only thing better than the ribs is the service. Not only are all the staff members friendly but one of the managers is the most adorable person I have ever met! He makes you feel very welcome as if you were at his house for dinner. A friend and I went in for dinner close to the closing time and not only were we welcome with open arms, the manager actually told us we could stay as long as we like, he was going to be there until 1 am and would be more than happy to get us whatever we wanted. The beef sandwiches are great, especially if you add the yummy barbacue sauce, available on every table in a squeeze bottle. The plastic forks and knives make it hard to cut, though. Other than that, we would probably come more often if it weren't so pricey. read more

We ordered from the Patio this past weekend and I got the Grilled Vegetable on Foccacia. It looked so good and I always get it from Portillos so I figure that it would be similar at Patio. I took a bite of my sandwich and it had an extremely sour taste to it. I looked inside the sandwich and everything looked fine, but then I flipped it over and there was green MOLD all over the bottom of the foccacia bread. Needless to say I was traumatized. I took it back to Patio and they offered to make me something else, but after they gave me moldy bread I opted to get my money back and not eat anything from this place ever again... I'm going to upload a picture of what I received. I think the manager was pretty nonchalant about things. I asked him how they would miss all that mold while they were making my sandwich, but he never answered my question and just gave me my $6.00 back. Went there for dinner since we were in the Bridgeview area. (We usually visit the Darien location which is great by the way.) Very disappointed here though. I placed our orders and then we found a table. About 15 minutes later the young lady who took our order came to our table to inform us that they were out of baked potatoes (which my husband and I both ordered with our dinners). She asked if we would like rice or fries instead. I asked "How can you be out of baked potatoes?" She just shook her head and responded "30 minute wait." So another 10 minutes go by and we get our food which is lukewarm at best. My husband asks for Tzatziki sauce from our server and then he returns and informs us that they are out. Seriously?? Out of baked potatoes and Tzatziki sauce at a Greek restaurant? I went up to the counter and spoke to the Manager John and he seemed surprised and asked the cooks and they confirmed that they were out. His response was "So sorry." Yes, so sorry but we will not be coming back to the Bridgeview location again! Gave two stars because the restaurant is very clean, my kids enjoyed their hot dogs, and the chicken was good. When I walk in a Manager names Sam greats us at the Bridgeview location makes sure our visit is perfect. Yesterday, I called in a very difficult order. 12 different orders from difficult people. Plus 5 appetizers. I told them I would be there at 5:00 pm. I arrived exactly at 5:00 pm. When I said, "pick up for Mike" they were totally ready for me. I asked to have 2 bottles of BBQ sauce added to my order. The manager came over and said "no worries, we won't charge you". The guy at the register then read me my difficult order. I said, "that's it! You guys sure you have everything!" He said yep! I noticed not only was it ready to go, they wrapped each individual order in a wax paper When I got to my destination, I was certain we were going to be missing something. Not one thing was wrong! The patio is a great place. The food is outstanding. If you have a large group of people it is a great place to go, because you pay at the counter and then they bring the food out to you. The BBQ may not be quite as good as the Pit, but the cuts of meat are large and freash and overall you get a great value. read more

Their old location on 159th, in Tinley was much friendlier and cozy. I find the new store in Orland to be kind of cold and impersonal. The building looks like something out of the Jetsons. The ribs are still as good as ever, and they have a nice variety if food. We actually go to Mindy's in 191st and Lagrange, the ribs seem meatier, but all in all The Patio is okay. read more

This place NEVER gets my order right! I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt because the location close to my house is good. Today I ordered a tuna melt and it was ice cold. Last time I ordered cheese sticks and they gave me buffalo wing sauce rather than marinara. The time before that I ordered a chopped salad with chicken and nothing in the salad was "chopped" and they forgot the chicken! This place is too expensive to not get orders right. Additionally, I find the staff rude and unprofessional. Won't be coming back to this location. read more

We have been coming here for years - the ribs used to be delicious. Not so much, anymore. They are chewy and taste old. I don't think they have the turnover in ribs that they used to. We just went on Sunday and were very disappointed. $47 dollars for 2 slabs and we ended up throwing most of it out. I sent an email to their Corporate office to let them know - no response!
