here about a little under 2 months ago food was really good.. back again on October 3rd 2020. doing real good job of the social distance and sanitizing keeping the place clean. last time I was in on the I'd had gotten a half slab of ribs and a cold one with fries. unfortunately for some reason it got removed so putting it back up again.. today I came in decided I didn't really want to hold dinner so I opted for one of the barbecue sandwich selections..I went with the smoked turkey white meat was really good with the french fries and diet Pepsi.. not really changing the star rating it's still much improved from a long time ago and they're doing a great job keep up the good work good crowd steady people coming through and much more so it was all very well. read more

I am so upset I have been meaning to write a review about what happens to me I can't even believe this I used to love the patio I always order the salad this is my first encounter with finding a bug in my salad I wish I would of taken another picture because on top of finding a bug some of my lettuce was old and black I returned it and got my money back but my thing is it's not about the money it about clean food clean service I can't believe this happens and the girl had the audacity to tell me the manager was not available and if she can get me something else from the kitchen I will never go back to the patio and I suggest you watch what you eat from there because my sister went a few months back and found a bug in her food two so just beware They are lucky I did not call the health inspector Very disappointed!! read more

This place is across the street from me and for years I have been procrastinating coming here. At first I had no idea it was a restaurant because when you drive-by it does not look like one. The first time I came here I ordered from the drive-thru. We had the fish tacos, chicken fingers, cheese fries, chicken hamburger, corn on the cob and a chili cheese dog. They were all OK nothing exciting. So I decided to give this place a second shot and came with my friend who comes here often. She loves their food. It's an "Order & Pay" type of place where they bring the food to your table. I decided to try something different this time so I went for the sweet potato fries & mozzarella sticks for appetizers and then a cheeseburger. I liked everything still nothing WOWed me. The patio is celebrating their 40th anniversary this year and I can honestly see why they have been around for so long! I been here in the past and decided to bring my husband and son here so they can try their fabulous burgers. They both LOVED the burgers and were thrilled about the outdoor seating. The patio is not your ordinary restaurant. The ordering process is like a fast food joint where you walk up to the register and place your order. Once you order, they give you a ticket and you choose your seating area. The servers then looks for your ticket number and bring your food. If you decide to sit in the patio make sure to notify the cashier. The food was surprisingly fast and right on point! I ordered the Greek chicken pita. It was phenomenal!!!! The pita was placed at the bottom of the plate. On the top was the shredded lettuce, finely chopped cucumbers, sliced tomatoes, tremendous amounts of feta cheese and grilled chicken. I highly recommend this dish. My husband had the Patio burger (double patty). It was massive! It had grilled onions, grilled peppers, mushrooms, tomato, lettuce, American cheese, ketchup and a side pickle. He ate every ounce of it! My son had the cheeseburger with one patty. He absolutely loved the burger and said it is now his favorite restaurant! We will surely be returning in the near future. The bettered cod was juicy and full of flavor as well. The blue berry pie was good because the portion size was generous, but would have been great if it was served warm. My family has been coming to this place since before they transferred across the street. This place is pretty good. My family likes to come here a lot. I like coming here too for the fast food service... and let's be honest for the free ice cream cone. Alright let's dive right into the pros. -the line to wait to order your food is hardly ever a long waiting time. -you choose where to sit and they bring your food to you. - the food comes out in a timely manner - they have a big menu selections (plus their new TV menus are nice) - they have beer and wine available. - you get a free ice cream cone with every meal. I have to say I've been coming to The Patio for at least 20 years. I mean I get the whole inflation and all that wonderful crap but come on for a 12 ounce bowl of soup which is made in bulk $6.50. You have to be a fool to pay that and the owner of The Patio should be ashamed for ripping people off. As for the chicken tenders they're frozen have to times they're so freaking tiny. I ordered when I got halfway there and went in and it was ready. They were very attentive. Some girl got my order and as I was standing there alone a manager asked if I needed anything. It was pretty busy that day. There was indoor and outdoor dining. There were cars all around for what I think was curbside pick up. There were kids coming in to get some soft serve ice cream. When I'm hanging with my south suburban friends, this is the place we go to for BBQ. It's not the best I've ever had, but it's decent. I usually order the ribs or the pulled pork sandwich. The meat is tender, but could use a little more flavor. The sauce is pretty good, so I end up slathering it all over my ribs or adding a generous dollop to my sandwich. Service is average. Sometimes they are friendly, sometimes apathetic. It doesn't take them too long to bring out your food... So until I find another place to go to when I'm out there, I'm sticking with The Patio. read more

The bus boy approached the table and felt comfortable to discuss his views on Kyle Rittenhouse, President Biden, masks and COVID-19 to a group of strangers. We were disturbed. He saw a group of white people and wanted to talk. No, thanks. I didn't finish my meal because I wanted to get the hell out of there as soon as I could. We don't know who this guy is. With 2 dozen cars wrapped around the building I arrived, ordered and made it through in 15 minutes. Full slab and a beef sandwich. Fries and soup I expected to wait a hour. 15 minute ride home. Let me start by saying The Patio is one of our 'go to' restaurants. However, after our last visit on May 2nd we will not be going back to the Bridgeview location. There were 6 in our party and all the orders were on the same ticket. After 25 minutes we started getting our food, but just a few items at a time. It took over 30 minutes more for us to get all the food. Not to mention, the appetizers were delivered last, and all of the food was cold. There were no napkins or utensils with the food orders.
