I just had lunch here with my boyfriend and I highly recommend. It has been difficult for us to find great Mexican food since moving up to Fortuna from SoCal. But after eating here we have now found a great spot. We each got tortas and shared asada fries. Everything was delicious and very flavorful. Driving up from SF on our way to Arcata, this place was a lifesaver and exactly what our desperate stomachs craved. Very friendly staff who were prompt and quickly showed us to our table. Food was solid (burger, mozzarella sticks, torta, and onion rings) split between the two of us. Enjoyed laughing with the folks working here as the patrons next door yelled and rocked out to the radio at the bar. Would definitely come back if ever in the area and hungry again. read more

The first time I ever went here they didn't take cards (they do now). This was when they first opened. I went to get my order and when they said cash only I said, "Okay I'll go grab cash back". The guy (who I assumed was the owner) was like "No no, just take the food and pay me later". Pretty shocking. Of course I went and grabbed cash, then paid with an added tip. I really liked 101 Cafe that used to be there, so it's nice that they have another place with good food in the same location. I think the Mexican food is better than the burgers and fries, but I'm just glad that there's a spot I can get food from when I visit my Mom! read more

We stopped in here for a quick lunch break. The dining area is quaint, cute and clean. The man tending to the grill instantly greeted us as we walked in. We ordered the milanesa torta and fries. The Torta was big enough to share between two people and it was pretty good aside from the steak being a tad chewy. It was a good experience for a roadside diner. read more

Stopped in today 8/04/2020 for lunch and let me tell you it was nothing short of amazing and locally owned and operated with just a husband and wife shop. The husband was very polite withe being the picky person I am and provided very excellent customer service and was very reasonable pricing and in about 10 mins I had my food and couldn't believe the taste, very juicy and very hot...will definitely be there more often when I'm working in Rio Dell..you will not be disappointed. My wife & I are in Eureka.Today was dedicated to see the Giant majestic redwoods. Spectacular views, but only 1 problem! There are very few restaurants within that area. Mostly campsites. We drove into the town called Rio Dell & found this very Spartan basic place called The Padron Kitchen. She ordered a burger, I went for #65 "The Padron". A bolt of lightening came from the heavens! The most flavorful delicious sandwich burger type I ever have tasted! If ever you're in this area, make this a stop! read more

Great customer service ! The torta was a little too much salt but I did choose ham,chorizo , Milanesa as the meats so I think it was the chorizo making it extra salty . The milanesa was delicious! Stopped in, because we heard they have tortas. Was not disappointed with my chorizo torta! My husband enjoyed his Texas burger and the jalapeño poppers were great. What stood out for us was how perfect the French fries were. We had leftovers and I was curious if the fries would reheat well (fries never seem to). These fries were just as delicious reheated!
