I love the atmosphere in the place. It can get a little noisy and the sounds reverberated through out the space, but the chill staff and great food is worth coming. Parking is a pain, so this is not a place I would consider during lunch or dinner high times, or on Friday or the weekends. Their lunch menu is decent but definitely pricy for lunch 5x a week. We came here for brunch on a Sunday with a group of 9 people. I thought for sure we would have to wait forever, but they were able to accommodate us very promptly. While we waited on our entire party to arrive my husband and I started with a brunch cocktail! Their drinks are not just a couple ingredients mixed together, but a true art form. ( see pics too) I had the Dominicana and it was so delicious and strong (not for the faint of heart)! I was impressed from here on out. My hubs had the wasabi Mary and he was also impressed. Starters: we started with the Brussel sprouts (even if you don't love Brussel sprouts you will love these) Plenty to share! We also got the toast and jam , but it only comes with 2 full pieces of bread toasted and cut in half. So if you have a big group, please be aware. Food: We all shared our food, so I really did get to try everything! I had the brisket hash, and out of everyone's it was my favorite! But everyone else's had its own little special touch! This was interesting. I'm not a huge fan of "this kind of food".. I'm not sure what I can call it. Asian-fusion, maybe? There were some staples that I had my eyes on, so I had to at least try, right!? Went on a Sunday evening, and was greeted with, "do you have a reservation". Um, no. I didn't know it was suggested, so now ya know! LOL It IS small, so a reservation is definitely recommended. Luckily, we only had to wait about 5 minutes, and was seated. Its very modern. Not at all a traditional experience. Says nothing Asian in here. Very swanky, and "new Austin". The cocktails are very much crafted. But, their liquor selection is VERY nice! Lots of whiskeys, scotches, and more. Impressed. $10 for a Woodford Reserve on the rocks, but its a delicious bevvie, so I did it. Ordered staples. Got the 3 tacos- but not the first one. I got 2 of the bbq ones, and one of the fish tacos. The bbq ones were good, but the fish tacos were the bomb. Id have gotten 3 of those, and if I ever go again, will do just that. Ordered the Brussels & LOVED them. You can't do much wrong to a Brussel though, imo. I could have done a double order easy. They were light, and very tasty. Loved the prep on these. And lastly, got the bacon jam fries. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but they weren't that. LOL Yet, they were really good. I didn't care for the egg, so my friend enjoyed that with the fries.. Had an exceptional dinner experience at The Peached Tortilla last night. I love how the staff explains every dish when they bring it your table. As detailed here on yelp, the Pork Belly melts in your mouth and is exquisite. Mama's Toast is also a special dish. They shred pork and shrimp on fried bread for a most unusually tasting flavor packed dish. The Cauliflower three ways was also a standout. For an experience to be remembered, I definitely recommend visiting The Peached Tortilla. Fantastic atmosphere and interesting delicious dishes. We will be back for sure! read more

I'm gonna be honest- I wasn't entirely impressed with my first visit to Peached Tortilla. I am certainly not dissatisfied, but I do think it leaves something to be desired. My husband and I came for brunch, I thought it would be really busy so I made reservations. It was about half full and we were seated immediately. Promptly greeted by Cecilia. My questions about the drink I ordered were answered and we ordered almost right away. She seemed a little bit unenthused, like she was just going through the motions of Sunday brunch, running through a script. No biggie, I've been there. Absolutely nothing wrong with our service. I ordered the taco trio and my husband got the burger. He said his burger was super tasty, exactly what he needed at that time, I tried it and it was very good. My food however, not that great. It wasn't bad but it was definitely nothing to rave about. The meat in the tacos was bland and it almost seemed like they were trying to compensate by slathering the tacos with sauce to add flavor. I'll definitely get something else when we come back. The space itself is lovely. It's clean and crisp, open space and bright. We enjoyed the ambiance. I think the tables are a little too close to each other, but the space is small so there's not a whole lot of room to work with. Overall, we did enjoy our brunch, and we will be back here. They are awesome, they are crispy and really nice. They aren't my choice generally to eat because I like obviously the KFC kind . For the main I had the Dan Dan Noodles, so good they named it twice. Well let me tell you. I have a friend called Dan and some say he is hot but I would say mild. Anyway these Dan noodles were bloody hot. Hence why I'm dribbling on my screen. Now to be fair everyone has different spice levels and mine is pretty low so I find it like fire. But no matter how hot it was they were pretty damn delicious. The service was fantastic. I liked how after each dish was served the server would give a description of what it was composed of and the best way to eat it. The restraint is a bit small and there isn't much parking but the food makes up for that fact. As an appetizer we tried the mom's toast and it was the perfect blend of fried and fresh with the herbs. As an entree we got the lush pork belly bowl and the hangar steak. The pork belly was so soft it was literally like jelly. Though because of how rich the fat is it does become a little much after a few bites.Plus the egg just exploded when you put it in your mouth. The Bangor steak was cooked well, though the sauce was a bit strong/salty. Though with the lettuce wrap mad rice it did help a lot. I just wanted to specifically point out the service was amazing. The place is small, crowded, and kinda noisy. However there is something unique about the way the layout of the place. Each of the cuisines has its own special twist. The waiter, Justin, has also continually helped make this a great experience. He was very informative about the various dishes and was friendly. Plus there was always a new pitcher of water on our table at all times. That speaks volumes to me. I will definitely be coming back again! read more

Steak is ok, but not at level of 21 bucks. I've had better at that price range, with sous vide, it's hard to go wrong so it's a matter of who's sauce wins. It was the best dishes of that night because others are worse... For the larksa ramen, I mean, I don't know if they didn't separate the cooking between the noodles and the soup base, or do they simply cook too long. It just fall short on flavor, tastiness and the whole noodle glue together, loll. I can do better use the instant Lasa noodle no kidding. That's a strike. The chicken rice is just too dry, it feels like, dry chicken on the noodle. I mean, it really surprised me that this level of food, can acquire such a good review. It maybe just their Asian cooking fall short, I am not sure, but overall, it's a meh. Unless they change the menu, it's a no go for me. read more

My wife and I booked a reservation for four to celebrate my parents' 46 year anniversary. They called me in advance to confirm our time and that the occasion was for my parents. We ordered plenty of food: pickled veggies, arincini, crispy wings, dan dan noodles, JapaJam burger, etc. It was all delicious. More impressive, was the shift manager coming to our table and offering up a free ice cream with crisps dessert. They then came back around and offered two free glasses of champagne and a card signed by the entire restaurant staff simply offering their congratulations. It is more rare these days to find nice personal touches and service at a restaurant, but Peached Tortilla went above and beyond. We live close by and will be visiting more frequently. read more

My friends and I are from NYC - not to sound pretentious, but we genuinely have access to a lot of great food in Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs. Plus when we went to Austin, we tried a lot of the restaurants as well since Austin is renowned as a great food city. Despite all that, Peached Tortilla truly stands out as one of my favorite meals ever! First off, the service was wonderful. The staff was highly attentive and they even gave us complimentary appetizers because they made us wait a few minutes- even though we were a little late as well. I recommend this place especially for groups who want to share everything. We ordered all the mini plates. The Mom's toast stood out as just being unlike anything I've ever had before. But the pork belly buns, kimchi balls, and umami wings were all delectable as well. Then we shared a few of the big plates. We had the lush pork belly bowl, the #60 fried rice, and the hanger steak. All great, but the pork belly bowl definitely stood out for me. Everyone knows Franklin BBQ and places like that as must do's in Austin (and Franklin was INCREDIBLE, don't get me wrong), but to me, this place stacks right up there as one of the best things I had in Austin! So I had heard about The Peached Tortilla for years and finally went last night to celebrate some friend's birthdays. The japajam burger I ordered wasn't bad (to be fair I'm super picky about my burgers), but their fries won me over with their flavorful, savory, crispness. About as good as fries can get! The real reason I'm writing this review is for the service. We had to wait a while for a table (it's a good idea to make a reservation here)...but the waitstaff was so accommodating and let us hang out at the bar. The hostess was very kind when I kept checking on when it would be our turn. Finally we got seated and they were very prompt with our orders and would come by and explain why or when something was coming out. Anyway, the food came out--hot and quick--and our server wasn't overbearing on checking on us. At the end of the night, they brought out ice cream with their salty buttered chips for my friend's birthdays (there was enough for everyone), AND they gave them individually signed cards with different messages. It was amazing. I've never been to a restaurant where they did that. Overall it was a very special evening and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. read more

We've been to Peached Tortilla twice now. We really like this place. It has a casual, local vibe to it. They have a lot of great house cocktails. My wife likes the Lady Bird (tito's vodka, brandy cherry, ginger liqueur, lime juice). I've had the Margarita de Peached (habanero infused tequila, thai basil, cointreau, lime juice) and another specialty margarita made with an infused tequila. They offer an interesting mix of food options that have an Asian bent. We've had the Charred Brussel Sprouts, Bacon Jam Fries, Taco Trio, Southern Fun and a pad thai rice bowl special. All were very good though I'd say the fries were the least interesting. The bar and waitstaff here are all very friendly. The service is great though it can get slow when it's crowded. When that happens, we just order another cocktail! Peached Tortilla is definitely on our regular restaurant list. read more

Very disappointed. First, the 'Tortilla' portion of the name is misleading. There is nothing Hispanic about the menu nor ambiance. The fusion of cultural cuisines were not synergistic, but instead a double letdown. My wife and daughter-in-law shared the same plate and both ended up up-chucking the meal. The service was good; however, the complimentary Brussels-sprouts for long cooking time where over cooked, which left a harsh aftertaste all day. A lot of the dishes that I tried weren't that unique in that it surprised me. I know that it was an "Asian Fusion" of Southern + Asian, I just didn't think they went together well. The Southern Fun: just beef brisket & wide flat noodles. I just thought it was subpar. Really didn't tasted like it should be mixed. I was surprised that it didn't burst with a unique flavor as I saw a lot of great reviews on it. The Umami Chicken Wings were really bland. Brussel sprouts seemed a little too burnt (yes, it's called "charred brussel sprouts on the menu, lol) and I couldn't even taste the bacon jam. I was disappointed :( The Lush Pork Belly Bowl was good, but how can you go wrong with fatty pork belly with egg..mmmmm! We finished the night off with the Banana Nutella Spring Rolls, very good! This is my 2nd visit- food and service was consistent. The server and manager made sure we were taken cared of. We ordered the crispy umami chicken wings which was super crispy on the outside and very moist and tender on the inside. It came in an order of 3, the chicken wings were quite big so you can share. Then the tres cauliflower which was amazing!!! Very creamy and bursting with flavors. A must try! The plate was quite small though. Not sure if it was worth $11 but who cares, it was delicious Next in line was the southern fun- very flavorful. A bit on the heavy side because of the noodles and brisket but worth the money. The serving was pretty generous. Ok, so let's do dessert! Singapore fling was ok. The flavoring was very very subtle. I thought it needed some more flavor. Very light dessert. Passed by the restaurant and remembered their food from Austin's food truck Tuesdays. We decided to stop by and try their food since I remembered how popular their food trailer was. It was around 5, so me and my boyfriend were one of the first people inside. We were introduced to their social hour specials and seated near the bar. While our server was taking another table's orders, another member of the staff stopped by our table and when we told him it was our first time dining here, he was more than helpful in describing the types of dishes and his recommendations. We had the Kimchi Arancini Balls for appetizers and the Southern Fun as our shareable. The Kimchi balls were amazing and I almost wanted to get more orders to take home! The southern fun was also really good and my boyfriend thought this dish was his favorite since he enjoys spicy dishes a lot more than me. Our waitress suggested the Asian Movie Night for dessert, and the ice cream was creamy and delicious! I've been here for HH as well as dinner with friends and it was just ok. It wasn't terrible, but also not mind blowing. They attempt to make authentic food but more so to satisfy American tongues. For instance, the Hainan chicken was very lackluster. The sauce was very bland when usually its strong and has a lot of ginger. It seemed like they were afraid to make it too gingery/foreign. Hanger steak ssam was also very underwhelming for the price. Maybe sous vide steak is so accessible nowadays, but I would pass on this. Souther fun is a play on chow fun. This was actually very good but spicy! My favorite dish. Malaysian laska bowl was flavorful and good, especially if you've never had it before. We went around seven on a weeknight and there was no wait to sit inside. Our waitress was also really nice! They don't have a bad selection of beers and I think they also have a full bar. We ended up ordering two orders of the bacon jam fries for the three of us because it was so good. I loved the egg on top! They have Sriracha on the table too which you can add to the fries and they were amazing! For the "entree" I ordered the pork belly bowl which was really good. It comes with a 45-minute egg (i.e. undercooked) and it was delicious. Definitely recommend this place! If you're looking for the food truck menu they also offer the tacos they're famous for.
