First (and likely my last) time dining here. Had never heard of this and was invited to celebrate s birthday dinner on a Friday night. The establishment is located in a business park area so it's already weird and average setting. Food was okay, nothing special to me. I had the Salmon, Jasmine Rice, and mixed veggies. Whatever the dijonaise sauce was overpowering and did not pair well with salmon. There was another mystery sauce that also, would not recommend. Drinks too extensively long to come to our table, bartender was slow and bar was not fully stocked. Ordered shots of Patron and was told there were out of it. Bartender messed up drinks, drinks were leased than satisfactory. Birthday girl ordered free ice cream dessert, after being given the list of flavors, server came back and informed us they were out of the chosen flavor. The manager/management team sucks ass and should reprimanded severely...we had a large party of about 11-12ppl, and they assigned a new server to our table and they barely offered him any assistance and he truly tried his best and maintained a positive attitude. That was totally unacceptable and management should be ashamed and disciplined accordingly for the lack of training/support. For that reason I would NOT recommend nor would I support this establishment in the future. Written with my ten year old son.. It's a very picturesque view. The lighting is appealing. The beet colored curtains complete the look of the windows. The stone columns are very attractive both in texture and color combinations.The Niçoise salad was tasty with a slightly vinegary flavor both in the dressing and the beets, onions, green olives, and green beans. The seared tuna was lightly seared but still very delicious. The fingerlings were a welcome addition to the salad and perfectly cooked. The kid's cheeseburger was large for a kid's portion, the bun was charred but didn't detract from the burger's seasoning. The French fries had good texture but too much salt. Last night we met some friends from Fredrick for dinner. This was the halfway point from where I live. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately it goes down hill from here. The offered a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Not even close it was really thing. It was chicken tenders with buffalo hot sauce. Brisket grilled cheese was all bread. Fries were soggy and under cooked. Try it again no Research what hot chicken should be or take it off the menu. read more

I give it one star for the bands. Otherwise, it is overpriced, and the service is lacking. Our server was nice enough, but he ghosted us for most of the night. He would have sold a lot more and made much bigger tips had he come to our table more than a couple of times all night. This has been the case on several occasions, when more than an hour goes by without seeing the server. Towards the second half of the band's show, it is rare to see an employee on the floor; even the bartender disappears. We have to track someone down to pay the tab. I wouldn't be surprised if they have walkouts. The food menu is different, but no one I was with raved about their choices. I realize it's a Howard Co. bar/restaurant, but they should not be charging high prices for mediocre food and poor service. Good concept, lost in translation. I'm not sure if they had a bad day or what but my first experience at The Periodic Table just wasn't very good. To start, we were told it'd be a fifteen minute wait for an outside table, which...was confusing, because there were several open outside tables, and it didn't look like they were blocking any tables off to deal with COVID spacing restrictions. We did end up waiting 15 minutes, although I'm not sure exactly why -- the place wasn't exactly bursting at the seams on a Tuesday evening. Maybe they were waiting on cancelled reservations? It's possible. The food was very slow to come out. I noticed several tables with larger parties that had been seated after us had both gotten their entrees and already moved on to dessert by the time we received our entrees. Since I had somewhere to go, I was watching the clock, and it took 45 minutes between sitting down and receiving our main dishes. It's not the worst I've ever seen, but it's not exactly good, either. Nor did it make sense given that evening's foot traffic. My husband speculated the kitchen was probably not managed well. He was surprised to learn this place had been open for quite some time, because it seemed to him they were still working out the kinks like a new restaurant would. Next, the food. Out of all the things we ordered, there was just one item I had no real complaints about: the Only Au mocktail. It was sweet, refreshing, and bubbly. I am a huge fan of rose-flavored drinks and sweets. It's always a nice touch when a place offers alcohol-free options for people who either temporarily or permanently can't drink alcohol, but still want something a little more special than a soda. Everything else...had a lot of room for improvement. My husband ordered a different mocktail that I don't recall the name of, which he didn't love. He let me try it and it tasted overwhelmingly sour to me -- not very balanced with sweet or some other flavor. We got the Moroccan nachos for an appetizer. The nachos themselves were okay and came out quickly, but for the money, they just seemed very low effort. The chips tasted a bit stale, probably out of a bag, and the chicken tasted like food service pre-cooked pre-diced brined chicken breast, topped with a jarred tikka masala sauce and what I assume was either yogurt or sour cream, minced red onion, and cilantro. It was edible, and we were hungry so we ate a fair bit, but I wasn't impressed by any means and we didn't clean the plate. I wouldn't order it again. My husband got the build-your-own burger and largely didn't have too many complaints, other than it was absolutely drowned in mayo. I think he might eat a whole jar of mayo if it was socially acceptable, but this was a little much even for him. Probably the biggest let-down of all was the salmon I ordered. Per the menu, it comes with tomato and herb couscous, corn puree, and charred leeks. To start, there were no charred leeks on the plate that I could identify. The salmon portion was large and cooked correctly to-order (and they left the skin on, which is always the best move imho), but was very under-seasoned. This would've been acceptable and even understandable if they had served more of the corn puree (which was quite good as a sauce) to make up for the lack of seasoning, but instead you only get a scant teaspoon of the stuff -- not enough to save the whole salmon portion. The couscous was just a joke. The tomatoes served with it were raw cherry tomatoes, and not particularly flavorful ones, at that. I am honestly wondering if they forgot to cook them or something, because they made no sense. Why serve raw halved cherry tomatoes on a cooked dish? You couldn't char them at least, a little? They really could've saved the couscous, which was very undersalted and underseasoned. It seemed that they may not have seasoned it at all and it was only the juices of the salmon and the scant herbs I was tasting. At least the herbs were fresh. I hate wasting food, so once I ran out of the corn puree, I packed up the rest to take home and resuscitate in my own kitchen. For $24, it just wasn't acceptable. I could've forgiven the long wait if the food was good, but this was the last straw for me. My husband wanted me to rate this place 3 stars. Given that his meal turned out okay, I could see why, but...we both agreed we don't plan to return to this place, and I feel like 3 stars implies that we would under some circumstance, and I don't think we will. read more

Wow, really miss Center Park Grill. Used to love their high quality burgers and dined there often. Ordered a few sandwiches and burgers take out. Hoped the food would be as good as CPG but not even close. Really just wanted a good burger but far from it. Burgers appear to be a pre-made frozen patty which was dry and tasteless. I cannot praise enough of this place. I recently moved to the area and tried a few restaurant but was never wowed by them. I have traveled often and lived in many places so kind of have my standard when it comes to food. I tried the period table based on the Yelp reviews and glad I can contribute my own thoughts. Overall experience was really good. Location is a little hidden and interior decoration is ordinary but the service was extraordinary and the food! Was amazing! I ordered smoked rib dinner and Shishito pepper. The favor was very well balanced. The Smokey rib was delicious. The presentation was well thought out and clean. And the portion was really big. For the price I paid, you cannot find a better value for the quality and quantity. From every plate I could see and taste the efforts the kitchen puts in the food. The food here is fantastic. They unfortunately got screwed with opening around the time of the pandemic. It's always a bit hard to decorate inside an office park but I think they do a decent job with the decor so you don't entirely get that feeling. They set up many tables outside for social distancing and the staff was friendly. My wife and I both loved the food. I got the Korean BBQ brisket sandwich with fries and my wife got the salmon salad. A s a new restaurant opening up during a global pandemic, Periodic Table really knocked it out of the park! We sat at the bar (first time out in months) and could not have felt more comfortable. Our bartender Ross was awesome! He not only made a great drink, but had us entertained and laughing throughout our visit. For food we had the Tuna Nachos (yum), the Scallop Gratin (Our favorite thing we had), and the chorizo donuts while an unusual dish were fantastic. We had 2 mixed drinks (smolder and blackout) both were delicious. The manager Zach was very helpful and kind and really explained the idea behind the restaurant. I came to The Periodic Table months ago and loved it so much that I really wanted to come back whenever I was in the area. Unfortunately, the taste of the food completely changed. The menu is very limited and I could barely find anything I wanted to eat. We ordered onion rings that were okay and I got a hibiscus mule that was very good. My fiancé got a burger that had no flavor. He could only take a few bites before putting it down for good. I got the bourbon chicken bowl that sounded delicious on the menu but when it came reminded me of bad Chinese takeout. It was my birthday so I continued to eat it since we drove from far away but mid way through I could not stomach it any longer. The bowl was covered in teriyaki sauce that was too sweet , the chicken was dry, and there was no flavor or seasoning anywhere else in the bowl. The server was nice and the manager offered to bring a menu for us to try something else.Due to the limited menu, there was nothing else we wanted to try and all our favorites from before are now off the menu. The server informed us that they changed the burger meat they use since we came last and rotate their menu each season so be mindful of that. They took the burger off the bill which we appreciated. The Periodic Table has amazing cocktails and some great food options, but could work on service. So walking in my husband and I didn't feel very welcome at Periodic Table. We were asked where we'd like to sit and left it up to the hostess/bartender. She decided the best place for us was the very corner spot of the bar where no one else could see us. We ordered drinks, I had the Elderflower Smash and it was delicious and my husband had a beer. They have an awesome amount of cocktails, beer, and wine to pick from. We ordered the Charcuterie for an appetizer and it was pretty good. We waited awhile for our server to come back and take our main course order, but when she finally came back she seemed ready for us to leave. She asked if there was anything else she could do for us. We were super confused as we hadn't ordered out food, but we powered through and ordered the Pho Bowl for me and Korean BBQ sandwich for my husband. Have grown up in howard county and never heard of this place so I was skeptical. As a foodie, I like to have quality food reasonably priced. This food was overpriced and literally terrible. Not only was my burger so overcooked and tasteless, it looked like all my food came out of a freezer section of a grocery store. They even messed up the order by not adding the toppings that were printed on the menu. The staff were kind and the atmosphere very calm, but I now understand why the place was empty at dinner time. I was such a fan the first few times I visited. I went during restaurant week and I did not have a good experience. My drink (which I have ordered before) tasted terrible! It seemed like the person who made it had no experience mixing drinks. They said most of their beer was already kicked and the wine I ordered later was out too. The food took forever in a restaurant that had only 2 other tables. We were so hungry and it got so late that we got my husbands meal to go. Our server was very nice and she must have known there were issues because she avoided our table most of the night. Chicken sandwich was alright. I was craving for something crunchier. I was not impressed whatsoever with the pricing for some of these items. Street corn is like a third of a cob for $6? And why does this street corn have cheese on it? Devils Food Cheesecake is $8 and is a 2-3 inch circular piece of cake that could feed maybe a baby. Reese's Cheesecake was good and is priced the same but a way bigger piece was served obviously. The serving sizes for some of these items do not match the prices whatsoever. Osso Bucco Wings were good and so were the fries. Overall disappointed with the pricing and quality of the food. My girlfriend and I really wanted this to be good knowing that they opened at a tough time but I do think they need to reassess their menu prices. I came here with my son on a Friday night. I was hoping for more periodic table theming, but all we had was a beaker with a mini oil lamp on our table. It took a while for our server to greet us and bring us drinks, and then we didn't see her for 30 minutes until our food came. One of the hostesses was kind enough to bring us more water when she saw our glasses were empty. Once we got our food, our server and others stopped by frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. My son and I had burgers, which were good. The fries were matchstick fries and were good, too. I would likely not come back here on a weekend or until they hire more staff. read more

Went out for lunch looking for a good burger. Found it. We all loved the fries. They are addictive. Good kids menu. The Cuban had really good flavor was enough for 2 people. Staff was very attentive.
