I came here as half of a party of two and was excited to try some of the menu offerings. We were sat after someone pointed out to the host that there were customers waiting. There were a few tables seated but it was not very busy. We sat for a bit and I mentioned to my dining partner that it had been awhile and no one had stopped by our table. I noted the time and when ten more minutes passed without a server greeting us, we left. The host that sat us cheerily bid us goodnight, apparently not realizing we were never attended to. read more

After a long weekend of work, I wanted to relax with a friend, so we decided to check out a new place neither of us had been to and I'm so glad we found the Periodic Table! We sat at the bar for the nice ambiance and we were helped by the bartender Stacy. She was delightful! Super knowledgeable about the menu and a great conversationalist. She gave us great recommendations and told us all about the events they host there from time to time. Apparently they have a brunch that's definitely worth getting into. We tried their cocktails which were great! The happy hour cocktails were alright, but the experimental cocktails were incredible. We ordered their nachos with chicken and little pita-style tortilla chips and it was delicious! The chips had this great seasoning on them and the chicken was super flavorful. This place was so cool! I was excited to try a brand new restaurant last week and was happy it was a quick ride up 100 W from AACo. This restaurant had some bad luck with opening during a pandemic but it looked like they were doing quite well. It's located in an office park but plenty of parking as I'm assuming most people are visiting after work hours. Decor was nice, a little bare but to be expected with the location as there are a ton of windows and open space. The hostesses were friendly and helpful and got us a table by the window. Everything is spread out well so you feel comfortable if you are not into eating out at this time. They also have some outdoor seating which people were doing under heaters. Cocktail list is so interesting and I loved all the unique options. I had the Table-rita, which was a classic margarita with a smoky twist. It was so fresh and delicious (and I am so picky with my margaritas) so loved that they used fresh ingredients! My husband had an old fashioned which was VERY strong but he loved it. For dinner, I had the pork belly which was good but I'm not sure I'd get it again. The sides with it which was a rice/corn mixture with an amazing sauce was fantastic. We expected this place to be really good since there were so many positive reviews, however I'm honestly disappointed. The service was very friendly and they had a cute little live band playing which provided a comforting and casual atmosphere for people to dance around if they liked. The food however, was very soft and had no flavor. My fries were stale and somewhat cold and my partner stated that his Nashville Hot Sammie was like "a chicken tender between two pieces of Wonderbread." read more

3.5 honestly. I went here on back-to-back weekends and service and food quality were inconsistent. Weekend 1: uninformed server and excellent food. Weekend 2: knowledgeable server mediocre food. I had the chips and salsa... fresh and delicious the first time. The next time, the chips were stale and the chicken wasn't nearly as flavorful. Pizza was nothing the write home about; though the crust was delightful. The toppings tasted like they came from a jar; the flavors weren't developed at all. It was cold so we dined inside. I was greeted by the host who invited me to sit near the band. I opted for a table in the rear so we could chat and catch up. Plenty of space between the tables for social distancing. I ordered the house made veggie burger with lettuce, red onion, pickles, mayo and BBQ sauce. The waiter said the burger was made of chickpeas, rice/risotto and acorn squash. It was quite tasty, firm and not mushy. Had some texture and very well prepared. My friend ordered the Nashville hot chicken, no bun with fries. She said her meal was great. Overall the food was great, dining space was nice. I really enjoyed this restaurant for easing back into indoor dining. I had passed this place a couple of times but couldn't quite figure out what it was from the outside. I'd been really craving a burger lately and when I found they had burgers and a decent happy hour I decided I wanted to give it a try. We got there and were seated well away from others and the server took great precautions. I ordered the table burger (didn't realize it was double patty but definitely not mad about it) and tried their cod cakes. My husband got the Cuban sandwich. The burger and the sandwich were amazing! The cod cakes were a little mushy but I don't eat white fish often enough to be educated in the consistency but the tastes were great. We are so impressed with service and the personal touches here, we are forever customers! We went for our daughter's 25th birthday with a large party, and Ryan, our waiter was great! They had us in a private section for our large table and Adeel (sp?), the manager, sent us over desserts on the house and came over to make sure our experience was good! I ordered a cocktail and it came in a beaker, which was right on theme with the restaurant and super cute. I also had sashito peppers which were phenomenal! For my entree I got the salmon which had a really good skin but was a tad undercooked but the asparagus and the carrot purée and couscous made up for it! The restaurant took measures to distance the tables, and they also note on their website that they use a UV air filtration system for the customers' safety. They offer outdoor seating as well. The only good thing I can say about our experience is that everyone was very friendly. Otherwise, the food was mediocre and the service was terrible. We arrived a little after 4pm on Sunday and there was only 1 other table of 3 in the restaurant. Even so, we waited 5-10 minutes minimum between each visit from our "server". We stared longingly at our drinks on the bar for 15 minutes before I finally got up and asked the hostess if we could have them. Starters arrived about 20 minutes after we ordered them. My salad was fine (after I picked out the pieces of raw onion that missed my "no onion" request) but my BF's chili had that hard crust on top that made it obvious it had been basking under a heat lamp for quite a while. Entrées eventually made it to us but they really weren't worth the wait. The fact that they're wasn't much brisket in the brisket burrito turned out to be a good thing because it was flavorless and chewy. The shrimp and pasta in my Alfredo were cooked well but the sauce had all the flavor and body of lightly salted and warmed skim milk. Somehow the garlic bread was simultaneously burnt and floppy and so loaded with raw garlic that I'm safe from vampires for the rest of my life. We spoke to the GM who was very apologetic and gracious and took almost everything off our check but there just wasn't anything good enough to give us a reason to go back. read more

We came here for lunch today, and were quite disappointed. We got their veggie burger with a side of the elote corn salad, the roasted wild mushrooms, and a side Caesar salad. The side salad was fine, but missing the focaccia croutons. The roasted wild mushrooms were pretty good. The veggie burger seemed to be entirely unseasoned, not even with salt--impressively flavorless--and was missing at least one or two of the ingredients listed. It was also oddly mushy, as if the burger mix were just warmed up rather than cooked into something resembling a burger. The elote corn salad was equally flavorless (and unsalted), obviously missing the cilantro lime aioli, and almost any other flavoring; it was as if they put some corn in a dish, sprinkled it with paprika, and called it a day. These were not subtle issues--there was obviously something wrong with the food such that I'm surprised it was sent out of the kitchen at all. When something like this happens. I think it is important to let a manager know at the time, because there isn't much that can be done if they learn of it days later. We asked the person who came around with water to speak to a manager; it turned out that the manager on duty was our server, so we explained the situation without anger or requests--we just wanted them to know what was going on, and to give them a chance to make amends. She said that she was sorry we didn't get what we expected and would let the kitchen know, but didn't really have much else to say, not even to say that this was unexpected or out of the ordinary or that they were out of some ingredients. She took the burger and the elote corn salad off the bill, and told us she "let the kitchen know," which I guess is something, but this was our first time at The Periodic Table, and I can't imagine we'd come back. read more

We were looking to try something new and found this place on Yelp. It is in an unusual location, an office building, but the atmosphere was great. The employees wore gloves and masks and provided great service. The food was very food and the portions were more than enough. The drinks were also very delicious. OK, now the food - my wife got the Nashville hot, a fried chicken sandwich with hot sauce and fries. She said it was delicious, we both really enjoyed the fries (she always shares :) because they salt AND pepper them! I was also really pleased with my dish, which was the "bourbon chicken" entree. But what made mine extra special, is that I am gluten-free. I asked the server for suggestions about gluten-free items and she went in the back to get a "cheat sheet." This was helpful for me to navigate the menu and find the dish that I wanted. For this dish, they substitute the bourbon sauce for Tamari. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at the bold flavors of this dish! It was a very large portion; very filling and satisfying. And extra awesome thing is that they usually put out $10 off $50+ coupons in the local flavor ads. We used our coupon which made this lovely meal very affordable! We should have walked out when we saw an empty restaurant on a Friday night. Although the waitress was very nice, it took forever for our drinks to come and then only 2 of 3 arrived. Our dinners were also delivered randomly with 2 of 3 brought out first, then our appetizer, then the last dinner. The food was not good. My daughters chicken bowl tasted like it was random leftovers from the freezer and it was not prepared as described. My Salmon and vegetables were too salty to finish. Quaint, tucked away location. Excellent hosts and servers. Very clean restaurant. The bar is booming! I quickly wanted a drink and the bartender came through with the best vodka lemonades I've ever had. I had the blackened catfish with asparagus and fried rice which was delicious. The carrots tasted like they were sprinkled with honey & love! Really a great experience. Live music and they have lots of planned events this summer. A community gem! This place was a bust for me. I really wanted to like it but the hot chicken was just fried in batter with hot sauce on it. No seasoning whatsoever. The tuna tartare was decent. My wine was wine. My dates go and tonic was good but it was all very lackluster and the menu did not have as much variety as I thought that it would. And yes. They definitely charge you for lettuce and tomatoes on the receipt. Why not just have it included in the price of the burger? Makes no sense and it appears that you're overcharging people. Smh. Went out for a family dinner and decided to try Periodic Table. Decor is cool but the food is uninspired (not bad but unremarkable) and the service was dreadful. Our server really didn't seem to know what she was doing - from forgetting part of our order (and saying we had never ordered it) to then apparently forgetting to get our bill. The stone columns are very attractive both in texture and color combinations.The Niçoise salad was tasty with a slightly vinegary flavor both in the dressing and the beets, onions, green olives, and green beans. The seared tuna was lightly seared but still very delicious. The fingerlings were a welcome addition to the salad and perfectly cooked. The kid's cheeseburger was large for a kid's portion, the bun was charred but didn't detract from the burger's seasoning. The French fries had good texture but too much salt.
