    Pepperoni Slice

The Pie Guy Pizza 83 Baxter St. New York, NY 10013 Pepperoni Slice This slice was topped with an abundant supply of pepperoni cups; there was pepperoni in every bite. It had a flop, but was still tasty. As a bonus, the wall art of celebrities being served by the mascot was nice touch. #ThePieGuy #thepieguypizza #pepperonislice #chinatownnyc #chinatownlowermanhattan

If you're craving pizza, this place will do the trick. Nice thin slice with a perfect crust. Got the Margherita and a sausage... all fairly quickly as they had it in display and just had to warm it up. Interesting decor with pics of famous stars that are eating pizza... unclear if they actually came and ate here. The person serving us claimed that Trump has eaten here but smart move not featuring here. lol!

I've walked by The Pie Guy dozens of times but never had the opportunity to try it until this evening. Because it's Pi day, I figured I might as well enjoy a slice of pizza (or two!). I opted for a vodka slice and the spicy rigatoni. Both were pretty solid - the spicy rigatoni had a light spice to it (no major spice tolerance needed) and the sauce was good on the vodka slice. The cheese on the vodka slice wasn't the most flavorful, but I still enjoyed it overall. Slices were heated up quickly, service was friendly. The space itself really only had 1 table and a standing table to enjoy slices, so definitely a quick eats type slice house. Glad I tried it!

Another great visit! Affordable, fresh, clean and quick! What more can you ask for from a pizza place.

Walked in & ordered a margarita pie for take out. Pie Guy guy says "gimme 15 minutes". No problemo. In the meantime I observe the slice window & everything looks copacetic (except the fried chicken rolls looked pretty tired). 12 minutes later I get the "Hey Buddy". $24 & a $3 tip later I'm on my way. Open the box at home & have a still warm slice. The sauce is delicious & the crust has an excellent flavor (properly proofed). I guess my only thought is that it could have used another couple minutes to crisp the edge a bit more? All in all this hole in the wall Pie Guy is making the real deal! I recommend a visit!

This is a tiny takeout place in Chinatown just south of Canal. Food (4/5) - very interesting menu of items you don't see in many places. Got a chance to try out two of their slices: - Margherita- it was ok - thin and decent crust maybe bit too flimsy and needed a bit more burn. Sauce was good balanced tang. - Spicy Rigatoni- a novelty pizza and interesting for sure... the spicy rose sauce was pretty good Rigatoni was bit overcooked. Hard to eat this one without a fork and then it's hard to cut tbh. Service (4/5) - not all slices are available at all times so try and time it around their peak times. Friendly servers. Atmosphere (3.75/5) - not much too it... basically pick up place with some wood tables out front. Overall (4/5) - ok place and worth trying out for some of the novelty pizzas.

Great selection of different pies and slices with a variety of toppings. Had a meat lovers slice with a great assortment of toppings was a heavy filling slice a little salty tho Also had a vodka slice with a special sweet tart slice with creamy cheese flavor smooth combination of flavors with the added saltiness from ham that cuts thru The margarita is always a classic slice used as the measurement of how good a pizzeria is The sauce is a great combination of sweet and tart adding a refreshing punch. There could have been more basil on the margarita tho

This place had a 4.9 on Google reviews, which is crazy higher than any place else in the area. I will say it has very good pizza. Crunchy and crisp. Very tasty. There is only a few seats at the window, but that is a New York thing.

I recently saw this place on Baxter street and decided to try their pizza. I ordered two large cheese pizza pies ($18) to go. The two cheese pizza pies came out different. One was overcooked and dry and the other pizza was soggy (cheese was all over the place). I ordered their pepperoni pizza ($24) a week later. It was better. So it might have been their cheese pizza or I went on an off day.

A seriously good slice for only $2.50. My very picky 7 year old that eats nothing including pizza asked me to post this review because she's on her second slice and loving it. To quote her "say it's so cheesy. And it's very big. The sauce is very tomatoey".

A nice, small place to get a couple of basic slices. Not much space so you may need to take it outside to enjoy.

Personally prefer the margarita as it seems to be a more well-rounded pizza and the tomato just can't be missed. We started with two fabulous drinks: An Espresso Martini and their signature Limoncello Margarita. We shared the Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad and it was fabulous. Also, the different textures of the arugula, creaminess of the cheese, and the perfect crust will make it a memorable selection. For dessert, we shared the Buttermilk Panna Cotta. RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
