    Regular Slice $3.50
    Andie E.

Just happened to be in the neighborhood, looking for a quick bite before a show. So we randomly stopped by Ben's Pizzeria. Had a plain slice for $3.50...well, you get what you paid for! It seemed like cheap ingredients were used, so pizza was just ok. Nothing special. Mehhh

I was in the area for an event, and wanted a quick bite, so I stopped at Ben's for the first time in over 15 years. Its still as rough and tumble as ever, with pies on display. This is an OLD school, grab and go joint. Do not expect fancy anything, solely, a solid slice after a night of pregaming or drinking. Staff is relaxed, service is quick. $3.50 for a regular slice.

I was actually looking for whatever pizzeria was open at this time, and ended up here which is well whatever ok... not the best and not the worst. It was a decent slice but definitely nothing special. Do not hope to get your mind blown here. I ordered a supreme and it was $6. Usual dingy pizza shop vibe with decent service.

Understand one thing. Every restaurant has its place. Ben's is the after drinking need my cheap slice fix. For what it is, I'm calling it a win. They serve it up quick. The pizza is decent. The place itself feels like you were destined to win. Enjoy it after a night out. Cheers.

This is what I come to NYC to eat! Sauce, crust, perfect. No skimping on toppings. No leftover crusts here!

Yummy, fast, good pizza by the slice. Got a meatball slice, very flavorful. I would come here again.

It's easy. Walk in, get your reasonable priced slice of pizza and you are done! service is fast and they even have tables so you can sit and bite before you are off to your next place.

Pizza is mid. Be careful with Apple Pay as they will try and charge you twice saying, "First tap didn't go through." Once you leave the place they add both charges. I went back and they tried to play it off. Go to a 1.50 slice place as 6 dollars a slice isn't it for this place.

Cheese Slice. OKAY. Pretty GOOD taste but not as GREAT as I expected. Slightly thicker than a true thin Slice. Still worth grabbing a bite here. RECOMMEND.

I picked up a meatball slice and it was pretty good. Nice and crunchy crust on the bottom, though the meatball didn't taste like much. There's quite a bit of room in here to have a seat and eat, though it looks pretty old everywhere. Staff were decent.

Great pizza, great customer service, and great vibes all around. I personally recommend the Grandma's slice.

We were heading out of a show and popped in here for a slice. I must say.... this was some really good NYC pie. Their prices were really reasonable and the crust was nearly perfect. Their sauce was a little sweet but not too terribly sweet. Just the way I like it!

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

It is located right in the hallway of a subway entrance, next to a bar and across from a coffee shop, and it somehow manages to feel like a cozy, sit-down restaurant right in the middle of NYC. Don't let the odd location fool you, the food here is outstanding. The Neapolitan and Sicilian-style pizzas are both exceptional, with rich, well-balanced flavors and perfectly executed crusts. Every bite tastes high quality. Also, don't skip the house-made lemonade! The experience is even better because of the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They were all so kind to so many people. From offering to keep leftovers in the fridge until a customer was done at their broadway show, to offering a scone to a young child while he and his father waited for their pizza to be done, it was more than just flipping a table and onto the next tip, it was humanity at its best. Be sure to give See No Evil Pizza a try. You certainly will want to come back again for more.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
