4.5/5 stars. My new fave pizza spot in New York! The pizza options were very good and I enjoyed the sauce and flavor combos. I got the Tri Dye pizza (which consisted of pesto, marinara, and creamy vodka sauce), and the buffalo chicken pizza, the latter of which was my favorite. Additionally, my friend and I tried the 3 piece garlic knots which were so worth it in my opinion as the type of bread they use, along with the yeast, was exceptional. Next time I go I want to try the Chicken Margherita pizza. I found it to be such a good addition to classic New York pizza shops in the city.

No pizzork on my fizzork!! Ducked in here and got two slices. First off, any time you patronize a new pizza shop, you gotta go plain slice. This is one of my steadfast rules. The toppings looked so good, I really broke my rule. I got a chicken slice and pepperoni. They do not serve swine here, which is wonderful. Both slices were a heavyweight bout rival match. I'm with it. I'm absolutely coming back here on repeat.

The pizza is thin and crispy, while the crust was great too. The pizza was very flavorful, especially the halal pepperoni and bacon. Tie dye is a must try at least once and looks so cool. Service was really kind and quick. Would go back to support. The shop has ~6 barstools. We ate in there and it was chill. Also easy to takeout.

After having the Tri-Dye pizza saved in my "NYC Eats" folder for a few years, I finally got to try (tri?) it and WOW was this a New York slice! Pizza Loves Sauce is a tiny but wonderfully local-feeling pizza shop with friendly, fast service and a bunch of pizzas to choose from. I snagged the last Tri-Dye they had out at the moment, and it was everything I had dreamed of: a massive slice of New York-style pizza completely covered with pesto, Margherita, and vodka sauce for an absolute flavor explosion! As a sauce girly, this was a slice I'll be thinking about for a long time...or until I can get back to NYC and devour it again. This pizza isn't just a pretty face! Give it a try if you're ever in the area.

Worth trying once if you're in the area and the line isn't too bad! That being said the line might look out the door but it's such a small shop that it might look like there's a line but it's really just 3-4 deep. There's some seating, maybe 7-8 bar seats. There's definitely a ton of tourists from viral posts, and the staff is really nice and welcoming. We didn't try the chicken parm calzone thing but got the spicy vodka pepperoni and the tri-dye slices. Supposedly this is a dupe for Rubirosa but that is not the case. It's a decent slice but super thin and not a lot of flavors despite the colors and different sauces. The napkins were the worst kind lmao, paper thin and non absorbent. It won't be my go-to but I don't regret trying it.

Got the Tri Dye slice which is a mix of basil pesto, vodka, and Margherita sauce. The base was thin and crispy. Overall, 5/5 pizza slice. The place has 6 bar stools for seating so you can quickly enjoy your slice and go.

Livid is the only word i can think of, besides being disappointed. You know what's that when you craving something so badly just for it to not be made with love. And i love this pizza spot. If Two specific guys are not there i would not enter this place. When i entered their were a couple of people. But behind me was a couple more people. The crowd was heavy but that doesn't give you a reason to not know how to communicate with your co-workers or have great mental stamina. The pizzas were sitting there for a while i can see that, so i asked him " hey do u know if any more pizzas are coming out?" He looks and says " no this is all we got" mind u the crowd still coming. I end up ordering a pepperoni slice and cheese slice. Whyyyyy tf ( excuse my lingo pissed off writing this while eating this burnt nasty slice) when i go get the damn box i see a whole brand new pepperoni pizza come out. I couldnt even hold back, i was like " i thought u told me these were all the pizzas u had?" He gon tell meeeee " its super busy and he cant keep up with whats going on in the back. Mind yall this damn pizza place smaller than a box u legit turn your neck and your co-worker in your face. For two second he couldnt look back and say " hey this lady would like to know if theirs any new pizzas coming out " nooooo!!!!!! Nooo?!!!!! Thank God im such a changed person because i wouldve made him give me my money back and not want shit. Burnt ass shit. Im so mad and annoyed. Got the person i bought the pepperoni slice for telling me " u dont like the pizza from this spot?" Like nooo this was the best pizza idk wtf happend today. Grrrrr.

I stopped in for a quick slice and was amazed at how good they were!! There's a lot of mid pizza places on the LES but PLS exceeded my expectations. I had a regular cheese slice and a tri dye slice (Marinara, pesto and vodka). Both slices were so crispy and flavorful. The amount of cheese to sauce ratio was perfect. There's some seating in here as well. The restaurant was clean and brightly lit. The staff were so nice too. Definitely stop here if you're craving pizza on the LES.

Pizza Love Sauce seems to be a local favorite, so I had to check it out--and it definitely lived up to the hype. I started off with their vodka chicken and Margherita pizza, which were both solid, but I ended up coming back to try more. On the second visit, I went for the vodka chicken buffalo and their pesto pizza--and let me just say, the pesto is the real winner here. Super flavorful, fresh, and balanced. I get why it's their top seller--definitely recommend it if you're trying to decide. Casual, no-frills spot with really good pizza and a menu that makes you want to come back and try more.

Pizza loves sauce is a slice shop with some notable toppings. They are most known for their TriDye slice with a swirl of tomato, vodka, and pesto sauces. It's a small interior, a counter with all their pies, stools along the wall, and some seating outside. The guy who was working there was really friendly and even helped us split slices in half. We ordered the white, tridye, and chicken margherita. The Tridye is a must order, fun and flavorful. I also really loved the chicken margherita with big dollops of tomato sauce. All the slices were a thinner crust with a crispy bottom, NYC style. Overall, I really enjoyed it! Would recommend

Plain slice over $4 with tax

Decent slice on Houston Street near Eldridge. They're known for their Tie Dye slice ,but I thought that was a bit expensive so I got a plain slice which was over $4 with tax (even though i paid cash.) Either the sauce or the cheese had a little tang to it but was tasty. Crust was kind of half chewy and half crispy. Might be the best slice in this immediate area. Up the street from the F train stop . Staff are nice .

Pizza Loves Sauce 147 E. Houston St. New York, NY 10002 Spicy Vodka Pepperoni Spicy Pesto Pepperoni Buffalo Chicken Slice The Baba The vodka sauce has quite a kick to it; the pepperoni adds more spice and flavor to the kick, which is definitely a good thing. It's quite obvious I can never get enough spice which is why I also scoped the spicy pesto pepperoni. there isn't a flop on this thin, crispy slice. If you need a variation of classic chicken wings, The buffalo chicken slice is a must try. It is topped with hearty chunks of chicken, blue cheese crumble, and scallions. If are a fan of Mediterranean dishes, then you will definitely be a fan of this specialty slice inspired by the baba ghanoush appetizer. The eggplant is soaked in a secret garlic marinade for 24 hours. This slice is also topped with tahini sauce and a touch of parsley. It was a pleasure visiting this pizzeria and exploring additional deluxe slices. #pizzalovessauce #lowereastsidenyc #halalpizza #spicyvodka #spicypesto #buffalochicken #theBaBa #nycfoodie #eats #foodstagram #localspots #foodreviews

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three.
