This was a hidden treasure that we happened to stumble upon. As we looked for a breakfast spot in the wine-country area, we discovered two things; 1. Wineries aren't open for breakfast 2. Pinnacle serves a delicious lunch starting at 11:30 am. I won't bore you with the details of our fruitless quest for a fancy breakfast spot. The good news is that we found Pinnacle by calling around. It was just past 11am but they said we were welcome to come early. When we arrived, the restaurant is located above providing a gorgeous view of their land. It's quite a gem as a venue for any event. The entrance to the restaurant is very grand and the dining area is even grander! (Is that a word lol) The hosts were very welcoming and happy to have us there. We were their first customers of the day and they seated us by a window in the middle of the huge space. We were very grateful for our view. We ordered promptly as we were starving by now being forced to shift from waffle cravings to a lunch menu. But we did. The food came out quickly and we were thankful for that. First, the Short-rib Sandwich with homemade potato chips. I still remember my Mama's face when she put the fist chip in her mouth I wish I had the video. Her reaction to the truffle cheese dip and sandwich was just as dramatic. Now we all had to taste it! It was amazing! That bread! Next was the Cheeseburgers- they were top 3 best cheeseburgers ever! So so good! And the french fries were masterfully prepared. Crunchy. Soft. Seasoned. Perfection! My Bowtie Pasta was so beautiful and tasty. I ate every bite. The service was absolutely excellent! What a miserable two hours waiting, waiting, waiting and finally having lunch!! Two couples lunched here as it was part of the package our limo company arranged. I can't believe the ratings from my fellow yelpers, as we literally waited 1.5 hours for our meals to be delivered, amid the cacophony of all the large parties on other tours similarly dining here. And the food was basic diner quality. Service and attentiveness from our server was minimal. Despite our repeated requests from various managers to intercede and speed up our orders, there was zero interest to improve a terrible situation. The acoustics are horrendous, and we could hardly hear each other as we waited, waited, waited. Time 1130 at opening for lunch, on a Friday We're locals, only a few minutes away and thought it would be a nice day for a yummy lunch. First the staff, very attentive and I wish I made a point to get their names as they both were wonderful. The view, simply amazing. Was the perfect day. Please excuse the pictures as the lighting was perfect for the meal however not great for photos. We actually had a good deal of clouds in Temecula today, was a great surprise. We were sat near the windows and I couldn't have asked for a better view. Again... top notch staff. So the food was interesting. The Mac and cheese is no where near what would be consider American style or Baked. The best way to explain it is if you never had French scrambled eggs and you ordered it, expecting something like American scrambled eggs you would be shocked. I didn't say disappointed but shocked. Completely different but I really loved it. I think they make their noodles in house, I could taste a difference. My lobster Mac was delicious. My wife's scallops and shrimp over fettuccine was equally amazing. Price is right in line with what wine country is at. All and all it was a wonderful lunch and we will be back. Please like usually, take my review with a grain of salt. This is why I post times and days because as the place gets busier the service or food times might change for any number of reasons. Stopped by here for lunch after wine tasting at another winery. Food here was delicious. My wife had the grilled octopus and it was to die for. My dad loved the seafood portifino. I decided to be healthy and had the Santa Barbara Salad with added shrimp and it was perfect. I went with the suggested pairing of a Riesling with the salad and they were perfect together. I can't say enough about this restaurant! The 180° view of the vineyards is beautiful. Plus side for the Temecula heat it was indoor and air conditioned. The wine was beautiful. The food was even better. We enjoyed a Seafood stack and a crab cake sandwich. The flavors were amazing. Christa was our server and she was the best! The music was perfect. BLATT was substantial, and flavorful.. Caprese salad was not worth the price in taste, presentation, or amount. Ditto for the Winemaker Pasta.with shrimp. Service was friendly, informative, and helpful, but the server was distracted by a group of food critics seated nearby, slowing the service for is, we felt. 5..Thank you Tina! I was tasked with finding a venue for my team meeting with members in San Diego and the Inland Empire. Temecula valley is half way. I thought about the "usual"wineries (you know their names) however I am so happy I chose Pinnacle at Falkner. Initially for the views and also because they have a "real" food menu. Not just sandwiches and burgers. Reservations-Tabitha was so patient with me regarding questions from the menu. Birthday desserts, and of course window seats. I asked LOTS of questions and she was patient and professional. She happened to be there that day, made sure our table was ready and also volunteered to set up a table for our gift exchange when she noticed we had presents. (Unheard of- usually you have to ask someone and the. They have to has to talk to a manager yadda yadda) - not here.... She set an extra table up right away for us to display presents for our White Elephant gift exchange. Service- *TINA* was truly the star of this show. Service with a smile. She handled our indecisive party of 8. Delivered excellent service to the divas at the table (me included.. lol) answered questions regarding wine and her suggestions paired well with our dishes. If there were any questions or concerns they were handled with ease and Grace. Corporate card, personal card, alcohol on separate check, different tabs for bottled wine .. no problem. Ask to sit in Tina's section she handled our large group like the pro she is. Serving staff- water cups filled, bread baskets, butter, lemon for tea or water.. oh the many drinks. Packed meals for take away or boxes. The 2 gentlemen were on point. Armand-(sp) gentleman in green velvet jacket from the winery took care of us at the table with regards to purchasing wine instead of requiring us to go to the winery. Food- Tina recommended Appetizers the stuffed Avocado we ordered 2-Delish! The mozzarella/shrimp delicious. Seafood stack YUM! Winemakers pasta was amazing, Frutti Mare-yum. I ordered the mushroom soup which was outstanding and the Salmon Wellington... everything was wonderful. The burgers were huge and all portion sizes were filling. If you're leery about trying the restaurant because of previous reviews please take a chance, it's worth it. And the service- impeccable. All 8 guests said they'd be coming back and 3 bottles were purchased (the Syrah-amazing).. This was my 1st time at Pinnacle my friends are club members! So they took us for Christmas ! This place has such a beautiful view, it's absolutely breathtaking! So glad I was able to experience this amazing place. The food was great.. we just got burger because we wanted to put something heavy on our stomachs, they were juicy and flavorful! A great view for dining in Temecula! Too bad the food was just okay. We came in a tour and got one entree included. I know other people in my group thought the food fell really short and the portion on the smaller side. I got the seafood portofino and enjoyed it. It was a little bland but still pretty good. But yes on the smaller size and over priced. My fiancé got the "spicy" burger and there was nothing spicy about it. It was also dry. Place wasn't packed on a Saturday lunch. Made a reservation for my sisters birthday. Got there early and they accommodated us. The restaurant sits on a hill which made the view gorgeous. The staff were amazing. Service was great. The Pinnacle is a pleasant- looking restaurant, situated with beautiful vineyard and hill views to the West. It is a relatively new place, with large windows, and though the food is good, (which I'll mention in a minute) the place has some serious shortcomings due to a somewhat sterile interior, and because of an extremely high noise level. There is really nothing inside the restaurant to mitigate the noise - high ceilings, big windows, hard floors, no sound attenuation whatsoever. If you visit during a reasonably busy time, you'll have a hard time carrying on even a basic conversation. We had to cup our ears to hear one another ( no exaggeration). And the place suffers as a result. While posing as an upscale dining offering in the Temecula wine country, it falls short of actually being one by ignoring ambience and elevated service as being part and parcel of a fine dining experience. The food is good, but priced on the higher side. Visiting for lunch, we had the crabcake sandwich $25, the charcuterie board $34, and the Seafood Stack $21 ($212 for 4, incl. one glass of wine each and tip) so you can see it is not inexpensive. All lunch items were tasty, featured good-sized portions, and were properly presented. The service was acceptable, but our server was not properly schooled on the wines, nor on the cheeses on the charcuterie board. All in all, it should've been much better. They have a good kitchen, they just need to get the front end in alignment. Quieting it down by 20 or 40 dB would be a good start. read more

Pretty cool place and food was pretty good. Chicken and mushroom risotto with truffle oil pearls was creamy and the chicken was moist. Octopus salad was just a bit too much on the citrus/sour side but octopus was well done. Our waitstaff was very nice and friendly. We did find a piece of glove in the octopus salad which they promptly took off our tab (they offered us to make a new one or give us dessert but we were full enough so it's all good), and again they were very nice about it. At least we know they're wearing gloves! Covid precautions not enforced. None of the staff were masked indoors. read more

I have been coming to The Pinnacle restaurant for a few years now but it had been a couple of months, since covid started, since I dared to venture outside again. Over the weekend I finally felt like having a nice lunch out with a friend again. Since they gave 85 degrees, I did not want to spend it outside. Luckily the Pinnacle restaurant has a large indoor floorplan, where tables are very spaced apart so that you can dine indoors and feel safe. All the staff wear masks as well. On top of covid, Falkner Winery sadly also had a fire during the lockdown which set their main building and tasting room ablaze. So they are currently running everything on lower capacity, and the restaurant has a reduced menu. But in my opinion they managed to maintain the same amazing quality as before, and the menu options are the best of each section! The shrimp pasta (to which you can add huge scallops) still tastes amazing. And the creme brulee cheesecake was to die for! I truly have missed this place! read more

Such a disappointment. The food was nothing short of horrible. We were a party of 12 and not one person enjoyed their meal. Hamburgers had no seasoning, Cornish hen was smothered in grease. I am being generous with a two star review. The place is very bare bones not luxury dining experience at all. The food was not to my expectations. The food lacked flavored and seasoning. The waitress was new so she didn't even know about most dishes. I asked for coffee and it came with cheap pit stop drive through gas station creamer. Coffee not good! Service from the staff was good. I do have to give it to the staff for their hard work. Unfortunately, we gave it a try and we will not be returning. Pricey and not worth what they charge. We dined in Pinnacle for lunch. The restaurant is quite large and outside has a nice view to the vineyards but it can get quite warm on the patio just fyi. They have a good selection of wines and also a cocktail menu. I tried their Riesling and enjoyed it. For appetizers we had the charcuterie board, flatbread and for entree the Frutti Di Mare pasta. The charcuterie board was quite standard, two different cheeses, some nuts, grapes and a few meats. I Definitely have seen better charcuterie boards in other wineries. The flatbread was good and the Diablo appetizer average at best. The Frutti di Mare was good, the scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the pasta was good. The service in the beginning was great but definitely started lacking at the end. It had been 20-30 minutes at the end without service and I had to call the waiter myself. Furthermore, I skipped on dessert because our wines had ran out and we weren't getting any service (sun was also blazing). The restaurant management also needs improvement like cleaning the tables on the patio before people arrive, not during or start of their lunch. read more

This winery has beautiful views. We came for the Easter Brunch and overall it's overpriced the value isn't there. They had omelette and carving station the food wasn't bad but the presentation needs to match the price. You don't get bottomless mimosa only 1 glass. Today, I was up in Temecula tasting wine with my parents and best friend; we decided on The Pinnacle for lunch. While there, I was treated to some of the best service I have ever had as a celiac. Tina was our server and was intuitive, sweet, and took amazing care of us!! Usually, I feel like a burden as a diner with special dietary requirements, but today I felt like a normal human. For those of you who have food allergies, you understand how hard it can be to eat out and enjoy it. When we sat down, I put a few gluten free crackers on the table for myself. And, without even having to explain, Tina understood what the crackers were/meant and asked me quietly off to the side if I was gluten free. When I responded yes, she knew exactly what parts of the menu worked for me and what would not. She also flagged down another server and whispered to go get me some special gf bread. It came shortly after toasted and perfect. So, I got to taste the lovely herb butter on warm, crispy bread. Such a treat!! Everyone else's food was excellent too. Hamburger, risotto, and pasta were enjoyed by all. I had the fra diavolo scallops and a large salad. So so good, and I ate with confidence knowing that I could enjoy it safely. And, at the end of the meal Tina made sure we had a lovely gf dessert decorated with edible flowers that the whole table enjoyed. It all felt so easy and natural, that I almost cried twice. We have been coming here for several years to meet family for a nice lunch but this place has gone downhill fast. Today was the last time. The quality of the food has gotten worse while the prices have gone up! The Turkey BLT sandwich had 1 slice of turkey & 1 slice of thin cold bacon broken in half on it!! And it costs $20!!! The other dishes were overly salty & the portions were tiny- like smaller than a small salad plate for an entree that costs $40 each. Our bill was over $400 for 4 adults with no alcohol ordered. The service is struggling too. Rudeness and extremely long wait times for food to come out. I recommend saving yourself time & money by eating somewhere else! read more

PROS: ~Attractive dining room, table decor and views. ~Priced more moderately than some Easter buffets in the region. ~Live music, although the first band was so loud you could barely hear yourself speak. ~Complimentary glass of bubbly. ~Plenty of free parking. ~Attractive outdoor spaces with cypress trees and views, wine tasting downstairs. CONS: ~Although it was a buffet, the waitress was a little fleeting and didn't give us any direction as to 'Welcome, now get up and grab a plate, you may start the buffet at any time'. ~We found the buffet food selection disappointing and the food wasn't that hot. It seemed like the foods on offer didn't really go together. Spaghetti, omelette station, roast beef, shell fish, melon, zucchini, salad...I had trouble making up a plate of desirable food, honestly. I took a few bites of the roast beef and left half of it. ~I had to ask a server for tongs to serve the salad and stood awkwardly waiting for them while they disappeared for several minutes to find some. ~The dessert station consisted of ice-cream along with a few varieties of mini-desserts that looked like they'd been purchased at a big-box warehouse store. The desserts and coffee were all served on/in disposable dish ware -- not a classy touch to the end of the Easter meal. ~When we first arrived the music duo was playing so loudly it was hard to talk and was very off-putting. Thankfully they stopped after a few songs and a quieter duo took over. ~The front door to the restaurant is a bit ominous and not obvious that it's the entrance. Maybe a 'Welcome, enter here' sign would be a good idea? ~With a bill of over $200 (incl. tip) for 3 people, the quality, service and variety just wasn't worth it for Easter brunch. read more

We ordered their shrimp and crab claw appetizer with half dozen of oysters---they were awful. The first 3 oysters were ok but the 4th one was rotten and smelled really bad. I returned it and they still charged me full price, I asked them to at least charge me half since I ate half! Steak was bad and the rosé tasted like cool aid. Giving one star for the free champagne.
