Best pizza. An overused phrase, one that belies the taste of the reviewer, but perhaps not yours. Thick crust, thin crust? Rolled edge, stuffed edge? Sauce on top or bottom? Red or white? Mushrooms? Sausage? Pineapple? Jalapeño? Everyone has their favorite. I've tasted pizza all over the world, and there isn't one that stands out as the gold standard. But I've enjoyed most of them. Rome? Napoli? Bari? New York? New Jersey? Yes. All good. What impresses me is fresh ingredients, handmade dough, and a hearty red sauce or a perfect blend of cheeses if I do a white pizza. To that end, I found a hidden gem. The Pizza Box uses ingredients from their farm in upstate NY and those of their neighbors. The menu adjusts according to the crop. I had a garlic scape, a white pizza featuring fresh garlic from their garden, amazing portobello mushrooms, scallion, sea salt, and I added sausage. They don't sell slices, and I feared I might not finish the whole pie. I was wrong. I probably could have eaten another, it was so good! The crust was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of char, the cheese blend was spot on, and the sausage really closed the deal. Mike and his wife take pride in their food, and one bite will convince you it's worth the trip. Specials are offered depending on the crop, so keep going back. You'll thank me later.

The Pizza Box is worth every penny with its inhalable 12 inch neopolitan pizzas made with 72 hour risen dough, fresh ingredients, and generous toppings! Order on their app, pick up in 15 minutes, and earn rewards point. Take it to go or enjoy in the back with their ample seating. Service is quick and friendly. Also, come round for their happy hour specials 5-7pm. On Tuesdays they have Trivia night. It's a really great addition to the neighborhood.

A classy personal pizza spot that Bleecker Street didn't know it needed. I know. I know. Did this street need ANOTHER pizza spot? Yes. This place serves elevated pizza. We ordered the fermented garlic, pepperoni and honey pizza. Honey on pizza is not new, but this one was beyond my expectations. It was so good I started questioning if the pepperoni cups were filled with butter. Nice selection of upstate NY IPAs and Italian sodas. Very cute decor and nice sized tables for groups. Service was 10/10. The owner and woman taking our order were kind, welcoming and attentive. I'll be back, as there are meatballs on the menu that I can't wait to try.

The best pizza and people! The crust is so delicious my friends and I love the classic margarita but also their fun seasonal white pies are so good. The service is great, ambience is fun, and they have great theme nights like trivia, love island watch parties etc.. pls give this place a visit it's amazing all around.

New place in WV that we definitely needed. Owner, Melanie made us feel so welcome. They bring everything from their farm upstate and use sourdough for the crust. They had amazing samples to get people in the door and they have an excellent space in the back for future hosting! Add this to your list!

What a fabulous place to celebrate with friends!! We had our team holiday event at the Pizza Box and they couldn't have been more delightful. BUT, don't let me forget to mention - THE PIZZA!!! So yummy and lots of different flavors and fun combinations. The whole Pizza Box crew from owner Melanie to Chef Michael and the whole team - their attention to detail and the care with which they prepare the amazing pizza, but also the decor and the atmosphere of the location were unparalleled. We would not hesitate to come back. They even put a welcome message on their screen for the whole group. We had just come from volunteering @ Gods Love We Deliver and it was a perfect way to celebrate the work we do. Make sure you check out The Pizza Box - you won't regret it!

The Pizza Box has managed to secure itself as my favorite pizza in NYC just after a few visits. We live in the area and stumbled upon this spot as we were walking around and they were giving out free samples. We have since been back 3 times, and we can't get enough! The food is truly so fresh, everything is farm to table, and they have a beautiful outdoor space. This spot is a family run business, and every time we have gone you can tell they truly are passionate about the product, and they want all of their customers to have a great experience. I cannot recommend this spot enough, it is an absolute must try!

I ordered a solo pepperoni pizza for my lunch. 6 slices and good for 1 person if you are really hungry and have not taken your breakfast.

If you want a slice of pizza and a slice of life or nature, go to the Pizza Box at Bleecker st. The place is really great with a relaxing backyard with towering trees. The pizzas taste good and the service is exceptional.

I've been a loyal fan since I had my very first pizza of theirs upstate at a local charity event the Pizza Box truck appeared at. Mike, Melanie, and Max have since been mastering their craft. Now, we are all beneficiaries of their pursuit of the perfect pizza and a strong commitment to quality ingredients. I was so happy to be invited to the pre-opening event to see the new store. It's an incredible space, has a backyard area with a live garden, and a lovely little general store. Nice touches everywhere. The pizza is.... AMAZING! My personal favorite is the pepperoni with drizzled garlic infused honey. It's been a few days since I've had it and I cannot stop thinking about how good it is. A close second is the Fiacco sausage pizza. There are no misses on this menu, they are all delicious. Good luck Pizza Box NY!!! So glad you're a little closer to home and that we can enjoy all year-round. And special thanks for making us part of your "family"!

Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. [Full Stop]…read more I've had a lot of GF pizza. I've tried to come here in the past -- but it didn't work out. I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). Lastly, the entire pizza menu is now available gluten-free. With vast offerings, they are ambitious, and every dish is outstanding.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
