    Very small $12 Tiramisu
    Evan R.

The best cold pizza in Manhattan. I have never once had pizza from here that was warm, much less hot. So maybe it is supposed to be cold. We are less than a mile away, and the delivery guy takes about tem minutes maximum. I do wonder what it tastes like warm. Oh and it is such a privilege to get a tiny piece of Tiramisu for $12. Before January 2020 prices were lower and portions were bigger.

Such a cute little pizza place. We went early on a Friday and was able to get a table. We tried 3 pizzas and their meatball appetizer. Definitely would recommend pizza.

You know the pizzas are legit when you can see the domed pizza oven through the window. Motorino is a small restaurant but it has a very inviting warmth to it. It feels like a very familiar setting although I've never set foot in the place. I was able to place my takeaway order in person and leave within minutes. The cremini mushroom pie is packed with flavor. Where to begin? They are generous with the mushrooms as I was using every ounce of my dexterity to prevent the mushrooms from falling off the slice. It had perfect amount of salinity and sausages and the olives were not overwhelming. This is definitely one of my favorite mushroom pizzas in New York. It is definitely pricier than the other mushroom pizzas in the vicinity but you get what you pay for here.

It's been years since I went to the original Motorino in Brooklyn and today we were near the East Village one and decided to go in and have their lunch special. It was very quiet (it's right before Christmas) but we didn't feel uncomfortable in an almost empty restaurant. The room is very nicely done, it's very 'East Village', long and narrow, clean and bright with the pizza oven at the back. Service was excellent, staff were very accommodating and friendly. The lunch deal is a green salad with any pizza for $17. It's a very good deal. The green salad was a good one, a variety of fresh leaves, nicely dressed and a generously sized portion. The pizzas are excellent. The dough is light and soft, the ingredients are high quality, with very good mozzarella, meats, fresh herbs etc. They taste like pizza I have had in Italy. Motorino is my new favorite pizza spot. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and they have deals not only on lunch but on takeout (currently 'buy two, get three'). Highly recommend for the food and it's a cute spot for a date night too!

I've been craving pizza this week and instead of ordering in, I wanted it fresh out of the oven, so I stopped by Motorino's in person end of day. I ordered roasted artichoke to start and a cherrystone clam pizza. The artichoke was delicious. The capers and lemon vinaigrette paired perfectly. It was pretty meaty. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. The clam pizza however was a bust. It was swimming in juice and was very soggy. They offered to remake it but I was already done with a slice and getting full. I thought when I bring it home, pop it in the oven and crisp it up, it'll be better. On the walk home I started feeling nauseous and my stomach was uneasy. I don't think I'll eat the leftover pizza..I'm afraid that was the culprit. I was feeling really good until then and wanted to come back to try more but not sure anymore. Bummed about this experience.

1/1 Ambience; 1/2 Food; 1/1 Service; 1/1 Value Motorino is a really charming and welcoming Italian restaurant that is great for casual dates or a nice get together with friends or family. This is brick oven pizza, and the kitchen is open so you can see your pizza being prepared and fired. The restaurant is maintained nicely, and the staff is warm, friendly, and quick. We went for a weekend lunch and we were seated quickly despite it being somewhat busy. My friend and I both got the margherita ($20). The crust and undercarriage were light and blistery the way I prefer it, but the flavors fell short being rather bland. The pizza, however, tasted fresh in terms of ingredients and served hot from the oven. Overall, it was a nice experience in a cute restaurant with friendly staff serving up pizza at a good value taking their large portion sizes into account.

Food: one of my favorite pizza places in the city. Get their margarita and skip the pugliese. The meatballs also should not be missed. Service: good service, with nice, quick, and friendly servers. Ambiance: simple restaurant with a good number of tables and typically room for walk ins without waiting. This is a bit more upscale than some pizza places. Good place to come to sit and eat a good quality pizza.

Arguably the next pizza in the neighborhood, the margarita is my personal favorite, literally only minutes to come out piping hot out of their fabulous oven!

Really great spot in EV for a delicious Neapolitan style pizza. It's small inside but very cozy and their staff are always very friendly. Don't overthink it too much, pizza is the way to go here. I'd say if you're hungry you can take down one of the pies yourself. Love the meatball and amatriciana pizzas. The dough is perfect for a Neapolitan pizza, has a good chew, a little crisp, and is thin without being too floppy.

Pretty good brick oven pizza! Not the most amazing pizza I've ever had, but it hit the spot. I ordered the Meatball pizza. The pizzas are big, so you could probably split one with someone if you aren't starving. This place is in a nice area.

The best place for a clam pizza. Their crust is super fluffy and been coming here for years- and service is always friendly and just the best damn good cherry stone clam pizza. I'm so glad they returned with this pizza as they discontinued it a couple months ago. I'm also a big fan of their Margherita pizza.

The ambiance was industrial with a semi-open kitchen, lots of tomato cans and other things for decoration. It was intimate without being super intimate. The staff (Javier) were super attentive, with Javier and the team doing their best to make us feel very welcome, unobtrusively clearing tables, and doing everything right to make the dining experience entirely about us. The truffle pasta dish was amazing. Fresh pasta, very good. Well balanced. Guest reported that the fra diaviolo pizza was very good, but spicy. It does carry heat, so be careful. The chicken parm is also good, but a lot. The pistachio gelato was also very good, as was the port wine. The Galliano was great - that they had it - but they asked if I wanted it neat or on the rocks. I asked for it neat, but was surprised they served it in a rock glass; it should be in an apertive glass like a port or other cordial. My fav of the two was the pasta, and my partnered liked the branzino more, but again, both were DELISH! The shift manager welcomed us by keeping the front door open for the entire group to enter, and repeated the same when we were leaving. The interior lighting was dimmer than what the photos are showing. It would be ideal for a romantic dinner if the tables were spaced further apart. Instead, they were so close that the back my chair was nearly touching the back of the chair of the next table. When Wife - who sat by the wall - wanted to get out of the table, I had to get out of my chair and pushed it into the table in order for her to do that. It didn't help that the restrooms - one for each gender - could only accommodate one customer at a time. There was a 12-minute wait line to use the men's. As for the customized tour group menu, it was recited orally by the waiter. Like at Tick Tock Diner's Day 1 dinner, I asked him to repeat the menu and ordered the rigatoni a la vodka and Sprite. Wife had lasagna tradizionale and lemonade, and Son had spaghetti bolognese and Coke. Speaking as someone that doesn't care for Italian cuisine, the rigatoni could use real vodka. If it had any, I did not taste it. The pasta sauce was very similar in flavor to the traditional Italian spaghetti. Though noticeably salty (but nowhere near as Tick Tock's chicken noodle soup), it was reasonably tasty. After our entrees, we were each served a delicious slice of chocolate cake. Wife and I were in agreement that the waiters were impeccable. After we sat at our table, they brought out the complimentary basket of bread, three glasses of water, and three plates of salads for appetizers. Every waiter knew his role. One was assigned to our table, another had a pitcher of water to refill glasses, and yet another showed up with a cheese grater when the entrees were served. The cheese grater waiter asked if we wanted any cheese and how much. But the service wasn't perfect. We weren't ask about drinks until after the entree orders were taken, and the drinks were served while we were far along in chowing down our food. Lookin at the decor in general, I noticed a birdcage at the opposite corner from our table. This place could easily be turned into a Halloween attraction with little effort. Paesano's is the only restaurant in the program that I wouldn't mind coming back again, but I will stop short of recommending it. More space between the tables is appreciated.

Service was fine, but we were immediately hit with the disappointing news that there was only one beer available (Peroni) and it was suggested that we might have better luck with a more extensive wine list. The focaccia bread was okay, but a very small portion at $10. The agnolotti was also fine, but a rather also a rather smallish portion and nearly $40. The rigatoni in a carbonara style tasted off, with a bitterness on the palate. I don't think this astringency was intended and it raised questions for us about whether it was safe to eat. We did not finish it. Over all, this is an expensive restaurant especially for pasta dishes. There was a mandatory 22 percent tip which seemed unusual and an option was given to tip above that amount. I might have given Forsythia three stars if it wasn't for the problem with the rigatoni.
