Ok I went in with high expectations based on Yelp reviews. I ordered a meat lovers 18" add jalapeño on half and brought it back to the house. I would have stayed, but there was a large group with small kids who appeared they seriously needed a night out, and they were enjoying themselves. While I was glad to see that, they kind of dominated the room with their chatter and there were lots of shouts toward the kids, and I wasn't in the mood for all that. None of this is the fault of the establishment and I'm not figuring that into my rating. Also, there were three different college football games I wanted to watch, and just one TV. It should be noted it is a small room. It should also be noted we were offered free beverages while we waited. Nice touch. The consensus is we like the crust and the sauce, and the meats were tasty, but it could use more meat. I personally would like the pizza a bit more "done" and would ask that 10 minute cook time be bumped up a minute or two next time I come here. As mentioned, it's a small place inside, but does have some patio seating as well. It has the perfect indy pizza joint vibe working. The person who waited on us was efficient and got the order right. Bring quarters if you want to play Ms Pac Man. I might go 3.5 stars if that were possible. My dining companion says 2.5, so we averaged it at 3. read more

Much better pizza in this area. Avoid. I ordered a medium pepperoni and wings. Surprised to get home and find the pepperoni was on the light side. Wings were okay. Pizza tasted like something you would buy at dominoes. Very little flavor for $20! As a side note they gave me a super low amount of pepper flakes! This place is awesome! Pizza is ALWAYS so flavorful (which is hard to find) and the owner is so kind...all the time! I got the veggie combo and swapped the mushrooms for pineapple. I ordered through the phone, but he somehow knew it was my order when I walked through the door, and I was out of there in less than a minute! Amazing pizza in the DFW area!! Was craving some good local pizza and the pizza guy did not disappoint. I got a medium veggie pizza on thin crust and it was seriously one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I also got a house salad and it was extremely fresh and had a ton of different toppings (It also just wasn't the iceberg lettuce you can get from Walmart so extra A++). I would not recommend this place. It is the worst pizza I have had in Texas. The pizza and cheese bread had absolutely no flavor. They also have false advertising, we ordered a deep dish expecting a Chicago style deep dish. Instead we received a flavorless pan pizza. The dough was 95% of it there was a ONLY A REALLY SMALL amount of sauce and cheese. It tasted like pure pizza dough. The cheese bread was dry and lacked any flavor. This place is really expensive for what you receive. Everyone in my family including me, got food poisoning from this place. There are so many great pizza places in Texas this is NOT on of them. Their pizza is still our favorite local joint, but staff doesn't consistently answer the phone...and when it goes to voicemail, you can't leave a message because it isn't set up; when you finally get someone on the line, the rudeness just drips from their voices. Coupons aren't consistently honored. Examples: spent almost $100 on pizza for my kid's birthday in September, yet the guy gave me grief about the free cheese bread. Tried to use the 10% coupon from Yelp for my other son's birthday party tonight, but the lady said it was only good online, and only one time use. I explained the online ordering system won't take the coupon, so I've never gotten to use it! She said she couldn't help me, so I cancelled the entire $100 order and gave my business to Picasso's. I was calling Pizza Hut when I accidentally called The Pizza Guy. Ashley had answered the phone and she made the food sound delicious so I went ahead and ordered. It did not disappoint! This happened last weekend. I ordered again tonight and had the same great customer service from Ashley.
