Good food and friendly service is always at the top of my list and this place has both. The pizzas have really good flavor, the people who work their are very nice and couldn't be more friendly. We had a late meeting and literally came in 10 minutes before they close and the two young men working there didn't give us a speck of attitude. They were as friendly as if we were the first customers of the day. Definitely worth pulling of I-35 for. Be sure you go to the address at 230 N Main NOT Robertson road. My wife and I ate there today, and were really pleased. The pepperoni rolls came out first, and were tasty, then they brought out our pizza. Yum! The crust was thin, with just the right amount of sauce (which had a great flavor), and piled high with toppings and cheese. Yum! We ordered the extra large and had plenty to take home for dinner.. and it's just as good left over. The only thing I can nitpick about is how long the pizza took to come out, it would have been nice to know that there was a big carry-out order ahead of us. Living in salado, there are limited places you can eat. The pizza place being one of them. We've found that if we use our real names, our pizza never gets delivered. Or if it does, there are fingernails in the pizza sauce. Twice. Two separate occasions. Good luck trying to get it delivered or even get your order taken for delivery since they put you on hold and never pick back up. The pizza really isn't that good, I'd rather drive to Belton and get Pizza Hut. Bottom line, we as locals have always been treated like crap. Workers are rude on the phone and obviously need training in customer service. Will not be dining here ever again. read more

She refused to provide me with any napkins and a foam cup (for ice cream) unless I paid extra! Plastic water glass was free though, which is absurd. This was a to-go order for multiple adults and a toddler. She refused to contact her supervisor when I requested his/her assistance and hesitated to provide me with information when I asked a good time to contact them. We love their pizza. The only time we had an issue with a delivery, it was taken care of by a shift leader. The Baileys special was so good, but even just pepperoni is good! The PIzza Place has moved away from the Texaco on I-35 to a nice building on Main Street in downtown Salado. Still great pizza, pastas and calzones, but they now have a salad bar and delicious homemade desserts. A larger dine-in area, too. Best pizza (and salads) in the county for sure! read more

If I could give this place negative stars, it wouldn't begin to describe the fiasco that is this organization. They took our order and 3 hours later decide to deliver it... Oh that's after we called 3 times and they said it was on the way... Then they call and say it's out of their driving range.... "Sorry you already paid a mild fortune and we only took a half a day to prepare it, but not only will we not be delivering it tonight, we will also be keeping your money." The delivery guy said he'd tell the manager to call for our refund... But did he??? No, no he did not... And then what happened? The little **** doesn't answer his phone again when we wonder where the heck this mysterious refund may be.... Would I recommend this restaurant to anyone? Absolutely yes, if and only if they were my worst enemy and I wanted them to be both hungry and broke. The place was epically unprofessional, astoundingly rude, and morally disappointing. Dine at your own risk! Update- since this review, I again contacted the business to verify no charges to my credit card were pending. In addition, the owner was kind enough to send a message apologizing for the situation. I'll throw in another star for the professional manner in which the issue was resolved. It's not thin and it's not thick - it's somewhere in between. I'm a traditionalist, so I go for toppings like pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms or a deluxe when I want a few more veggies. I've easily had a least a half dozen pizzas during my visits to Salado and they've all been good. The cinnabites were delicious!! I definitely recommend those, but I'd skip the cheese breadsticks- it was more like a cheesy pizza than cheese breadsticks. Had the lasagna, it was served on a styrofoam plate. The sauce slightly melted the plate enough that all you could taste was styrofoam? It was aweful. Best pizza in town and I like the One that I like to call the Chicken California. Has Bacon, chicken, Alfredo sauce....it's so good! Service is a bit slow because you get kids run it when the owner isn't around! They only deliver after 5 most days or something like that. Takes almost an hour for delivery. Hey so just call it in and pick it up your pizza won't be soggy or cold! Telling you good stuff....they have a tiny salad bar and dinning but again not wait staff either and if you want something you have to go to the counter to get it and then you can't see the people working because there is a wall!!!
