There were other TV install guys advertising $50 to mount a TV. I had one for sure I wanted done but was considering doing another one. HT ProTech's ad had no prices listed so I contacted them. I first asked for a quote to mount one 43" TV and was told it would be $95, which was high. I then mentioned the ad and that I have a second TV to mount, and asked would the second unit be free, as advertised? That's when the bait and switch happened. They claimed that $95 quoted was a discounted price from the regular price of $120, thus I would have to pay $25 additional for the second mounting. So much for 2-for-1. For all I know they might do the best work but I don't like the dishonesty. I called one of their competitors, who came and did one television for $50 and they arrived as promised and the gentleman did a very satisfactory job. I decided against mounting the second TV. The only extra was he gave me the option for $20 to put a strip on the wall to hide the cords from dangling down loosely. I hadn't considered that but it sounded well worth having done and I consented. The best part about it was he mentioned it over the phone when he called to say he was on his way, rather than laying it on me after he arrived.

I've used these guys for many years and I don't know if the business is under new management or ownership changed hands, but they wend from "good & dependable" to rude & unprofessional! I contacted them to try to arrange to have them come and do an install in my office (wasn't even concerned with price or shopping them around, as I was happy with their service in the past). After not picking up my call, the person handling the calls sent me a text saying that they're not available and to please text them. No problem with that obviously, so I texted them. 7 hours later, still no reply, so I tried calling again. They sent me to voicemail and never even bothered getting back to me. Too many other options out there to waste your time on businesses that don't care for long-standing & loyal customers.

Although it would be troublesome over the long holiday and required logistics with new parts to get the repair done, Mike gave me updates daily and assured that the repair would be completed. Instead of forking out a hefty sum for a new notebook of the same spec (about $1300) or having Apple fix it (about $880), OC Tech Dr helped source a new LCD and swapped then tested the MacBook for $486! My problem is that I need the computer Mon thru Fri so he made a special arrangement to come over on a Saturday to clone my existing drive to the SSD (this takes several hours). So, long story short, my computer went from 5400 MPH to WARP 10!!! It screams with file transfers, apps run 100 times faster and restarts take seconds now apposed to minutes. I can't believe that a simple swap of storage could make a this big of a difference! My productivity has increased ten fold! I told Mike that I'm even going to save on coffee. Jimmy Orange and HSG provided outstanding customer service, as a reputable company always should, building long-lasting relationships. After dealing with companies and their customer service (or lack their of) in the past, we were dreading the chore of finding and setting up service in our new home.
