I think The Porch is a great place to catch a game, have a drink and even Sunday Funday. I really enjoy the lovely atmosphere. The patio is set up with a large Adirondack chair and swings which adds to the playful vibe. The inside is full of fun patterns and lights that create a great atmosphere. Big fan of their drink menu. The Porch pounder is a great choice if you want something slightly sweet but not over done. I think they sadly fall a little flat when it comes to the food. I would describe it as basic bar food. We had the Leilani Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Tinga Quesadillas, Grilled Cheese and Mac n Cheese, all the dishes were good but nothing that blew us away. The Leilani had way to much sauce on it which made it a mess to eat. I'll be back for sure but most likely to only enjoy the atmosphere and drinks. read more

Great little upscale-dive like place, where the valet made no sense. Truly unnecessary, thus the missing star. Overall great food. My girlfriend wanted a BLT, but there was no BLT on the menu and they made one for her. I had the southwestern steak salad, also very good. And my daughter had the border bowl, which came with a grilled jalapeño and she loved it. One note is that this is a booster establishment, meant for a younger crowd or a date where easy conversation is made a bit more difficult. read more

We went to the porch a while ago to watch some of the NCAA basketball championships and the vibe was awesome. The food was nothing spectacular but I actually quite enjoyed it. It didn't blow my head off but it was great food for the vibe that we were looking for. We all shared a community drink with which is also really fun and I like that they have multiple shareable's for people. I got the Panini and my friends got the nachos and the tacos. Everybody really like their meals. I thought the Panini was super fresh. I would highly recommend getting it if you go because it was definitely my favourite thing on the table. a vegan, I was thrilled to find that they have a delicious vegan burger and vegan cauliflower appetizer. Both dishes are truly amazing, and I couldn't believe how flavorful they were. The Porch itself is such a fun place to hang out, with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The back patio is especially awesome, with lots of seating and fun games to keep you entertained. I definitely recommend grabbing a seat outside if you can! My only suggestion for The Porch would be to add even more vegan options to their menu. While I was blown away by the vegan burger and cauliflower appetizer, I think it would be amazing if they could expand their offerings for us plant-based folks. Overall, I had such a great time at The Porch and I can't wait to come back again soon. Very cool place. We had great service and the food was tasty and the drinks were delicious. We each had a grilled chicken sandwich. I had the Lanai and my hubby had the Nashville hot. Both were really flavorful. Only complain is the chicken was a bit rubbery. It wasn't over cooked, just not tender. Not sure why. Still tasted great, just a little tough to bite thru. We both had onion rings and they were breaded & cooked to perfection. Delicious! I had the Jungle Juice which was so very tasty!! Perfect mix of juices & booze. We finished with the churro donut holes that were awesome. They came with melted frosting and chocolate sauce. Really very good. They have lots of TV 's if you want to watch sports. Normally I would give this place 5 stars but last nights dinner was a big disappointment. We arrived and seated by friendly staff. The Porch always has had a great vibe for us, we have been often. We sat down, ordered drinks and dinner and began enjoying a great vibe, atmosphere and awesome music. Just what we were looking for. Suddenly the music stopped and a TV show started blaring. When we asked what happened to the music, the server told us they were having a "Love Island" watch party. Seriously????? If i wanted to watch TV and eat dinner, I would have stayed home and saved 70+ bucks. What a seriously bad decision it was to hold an entire restaurant hostage watching a boring 2015 TV show during prime dinner hours. They couldn't leave the music on inside and stream the watch party outside where most of the people watching were seated. What started out as a great dinner night out with my wife, abruptly changed course.......won't be coming back. read more

It was ehh. I ordered the mac & cheese with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was dry and overcooked and as far as the dish itself, it was room temperature, not hot at all. My fiancé ordered a blueberry Red Bull and vodka, which was 70% ice the server then temporarily lost my card. She returned to me a few minutes after I had given it to her and wanted to verify that I actually gave it to her. I saw her looking around confused looking for my card. About 10 minutes later, she came back with my card and the receipt so I was happily relieved. I expected better food and better service for the prices they were charging. The only good thing I could say about them is that the food came out quick but with the quality and it not being hot, I can almost guarantee it was already premade and they just kind of threw it together. Had a blast here playing jumbo jenga & colossal connect 4 in the backyard of the porch! We ordered their Buffalo cauliflower and chips/salsa for appetizers. Wanted to try their other burgers but after 10pm their menu condenses to only the Porch burger and beyond burger. I ordered the porch burger with sweet potato fries. My order was ready in a timely manner; about 10mins. The food was not cold so that's a plus! The sweet potato fries were overcooked and basically a very salty sweet potato chip. This was disappointing because I choose my burger joints based on sweet potato fries. Of course the burgers are important too but I purposely travel for the sides. read more

My boyfriend and I are not from Arizona so we like to try new restaurants. We found this restaurant on google and decided we would give it a try since most of the reviews were great! What a big mistake that was.When we arrived were seated right away however it took the waitress at least 15 minutes to get to us which in my opinion is a little long. We ordered two appetizers the Bang-Bang shrimp and the crab raggons. The Bang-Bang shrimp was ok but it was barely warm and the coleslaw was bland and lacked flavor to say the least. The crab raggons was missing the crab and it was more like a cheese dip and chips. The taste on the first bite was ok but after eating a couple I realized that the dip was very salty . I was really disappointed because I was looking forward to the crab raggons. My boyfriend ordered a burger and I ordered the slidders. I had to send mine back because it was not what I ordered. They re-made them but I only ate two of them because my appetite was gone. We also had drinks. My first Margarita was amazing however the second one was nothing like the first one and it had to be over. There was suppose to be Grand Mariner in it and it wasn't. Instead of having them making the drink over again I just asked for a shot of Grand Mariner which of course was additional . We had jello shots as well. The waitress was friendly but kept saying she was new and I guess that was suppose to make up for her mistakes? The manager took off the slidders which was nice. We went home after dinner and the next morning we both woke up with food poisoning!!! I came back and looked at the reviews and most of the complaints are customer service and the food. Which is well to be expected based on my spent here. Re-heating food and not doing it properly will definitely cause food poisoning to say the least. I've been frothing at the mouth waiting to try this place out and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere and decor is very trendy and fun. It has a huge bar area, booths and tables, and an outdoor patio (of course) with misters. Lots of music, tvs, and some fun games to play. The bartenders and servers were very friendly too. The menu is very casual but the food is pretty fantastic and the drink menu has so many unique options. Try the unicorn kiss! The shareable mule is pricy but enormous. No joke, it was the size of my head! The chicken quesadilla was LOADED with filling. The steak in the tacos was tender and flavorful and the slaw topping was crazy good. I was pretty damn impressed with the burger too, and the onion rings are killer! Some of the best food in Phoenix. I had the "Big Ass bowl of Pork Stew" with black rice, and my wife had the Forbidden Rice bowl with salmon. My food was amazing. The chilis in the stew gave it amazing flavor and the hominy gave a creative consistency that really elevated the dish. The forbidden rice bowl was presented creatively, spiced perfectly and the salmon was perfect. 5 stars all around. The patio with the swing tables, the yard games, =amazing! Even the kids menu was on point. Definitely on my visit again list, and my bring visitors list. read more

Came in last night and the place was very loud which was fine and expected - no issues there as it's a Sat night. The food came out at a reasonable rate and the server was nice. I ordered a second drink and I got a totally different drink and we figured out it was a mistake and I got the drink the table beside us had been ordering (I hate cucumbers sadly) . But by the time the server came back (not her fault they were busy half the time runners had to bring drinks and check in) it just wasn't worth it. They really need more staff on. Food wasn't bad the nachos were a little bare but we got two orders and the second order was great.... Who knows why they were different?? Literally it was "can we get another order" - the overall experience could have been an off night. My boyfriend and I are here on vacation from Miami. We stopped by and we loved it. The customer service and food was excellent. We were greeted by a nice young gentleman at front and was taken to our seats. The waitress Mikayla was very sweet and recommended lots of great food and drink choices. My boyfriend got the Nashville Chix Sammy and I got the Porch Pasta. Both very good. She also recommended I tried the fig mule and it surprisingly delicious. The best part about The Pourch is the ambiance. Eclectic mix of retro and pop culture pieces. There is a lot to look at. At Sunday brunch, a dj was spinning a mix of energetic music. Music was loud, yet not so loud that people couldn't talk to each other. Cushioned seating. Seats were perfect for sitting back and relaxing while our group caught up with eachother. The Porch has a fun drink menu. There is a variety of traditional and innovative flavors. There are even large drinks for the table to share. Care and thought have gone into how drinks are presented. There is glassware with intricate designs. Some glassware has a retro tiki bar feel. One drink that was ordered at our table came in an Asian food takeout box. It even included a fortune cookie. Unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was the greasiest sandwich I have ever had. When I squeezed the sandwich a bit tighter, to get a better grip, oil came out in a steady stream. Bread was toasted well, with burnt edges. All I could taste was sweet and burnt bread, with a spicy burnt aftertaste. Food was so bad that inspite of being starving, I couldn't even eat half of it. Two of the four of us ordered the Nashville hot chicken. The other person agreed that it was not good. Both of us received oily and burnt food. Though they did eat theirs. Oily coating did not leave my mouth until I was able to go home, and brush my teeth. Fruit in the side of fruit seemed old. My husband ordered one of their burgers. He was less than impressed. He found it hard to taste anything in his over the cheese. He ordered his burger medium rare. The burger was cooked well done. One of us received the wrong side. Loved this place! Walking in the door you are able to seat yourself. It wasnt overcrowded at lunch time, so we decided to sit outside where they have swing chairs, connect 4, and other fun games for children and adults to play. The service was a little slower at lunch time than I would have expected but the person was very polite, very professional, and over all a good experience. The food was amazing we had a couscous bowl with asparagus, tomatoes, and a pulled chicken on top. We also decided to have fried pickle spears which ended up being pretty amazing as well.
