I think this place doesn't have the popularity it deserves yet. The grad student for my internship introduced me to Posh Bagel when we would leave 7:30am to go do field work in McLaughlin. Awesome, hearty bagels. They're perfectly chewy and soft. There's no way you can choose a bad combination. Recommend: tomato bagel and EGGWICHES. I'm surprised how much stuff they were able to pack in my bagel sandwich. I ordered the veggie bagel sandwich and it was packed with tomatoes, cucumbers, alfalfa sprouts, onions, lettuce, and other good things! The service here is okay, the people working there seemed really pushy, impatient, and just not very friendly. Slightly over priced, but their bagel sandwiches are yummy... almost worth every penny. Their Turkey Herb is good, and so is the bagel with lox and cream cheese. So far I've never gotten any poor service or poorly prepared food. Their bakery items are also pretty good... they have all sorts of things including scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, danishes, etc. I haven't tried any of their espresso drinks there though... since Starbucks is right next door to them, I just go next door for my caffeine fix. read more

I was looking for a breakfast spot and stopped here on a Tuesday morning. Posh Bagels has a nice patio area that it appears to share with the neighboring Starbucks, with tables, chairs, and umbrellas. The inside is a bit dark but the bakery case with the bagels and pastries is nicely lit up and definitely attracts the eye. They have a great array for bagels that look very tasty and unique- namely the pesto, marinara, and spinach asiago. For my first time here, I went with a simple everything bagel, toasted with plain cream cheese. The bagel was warm, with a nice crunch on the outside and chewy inside. They didn't overdo the cream cheese so it was oozing out everywhere, and the sunflower seeds on the bagel were a nice addition. The service was friendly and very quick. I am excited to come back to try that spinach asiago bagel- maybe I'll make it a sandwich next time! read more

Two concepts that don't normally work hand-in-hand: speed and quality. Yet, this bagel shop does just that. Every. Single. Time! I come in here a few times a week either before work or after. Maybe I come too often because they know my order when I walk in the door and by the time I'm at the register they have me ring up with my order ready! Talk about service! I normally get an eggwich on a blueberry bagel without much variety, but this shop has a plethora of options for your bagel or croissant needs. There are dozens of different types of bagels and a dozens of ways to modify them(breakfast options, pizza style, lox, assortment of cream cheeses and other spreads). Davis strangely has few options for breakfast, particularly quick breakfast, so this place should be a no-brainier if you're interested in a quick pick me up in the morning before you continue on your day. read more

Love the bagels here and the sandwiches. Service seems to have gone down hill. I let the guy know taking my order that I was going to want 2 things and he asked for both of them. I thought there was no way he could of remembered what I had just said, and I was right. I asked him to remake one after he handed them both to me and said what was on it. And sure enough when I got home, one still had the wrong type of cream cheese. Super annoying and easily avoidable! Take and make orders one at a time.... or maybe write the order down! Ummm not my favorite bagel place. Ordered the garlic bagels and they were slightly undercooked and tasted doughy. Was disappointed. This place had really good potential but quality control is an issue. From what I could eat (the edges) of it I did like, but discarded the rest. I probably wouldn't return based on my experience. I got mine to go so had I noticed before I left I totally I would have gone back and tried to get a refund or another bagel that was cooked thru. read more

I've lived in Davis for 4 years, and I usually come here before I have to go to work in downtown, even though Starbucks is right next door. I LOVE posh bagels. But there was one time I ordered a bagel and I believe the spinach on top with the Asiago was old because after I ate it I got sick. Other than that one time I didn't got for a whole month came back and just got the regular Asiago gourmet bagel and fell back in love with this place. The employees never seem to be grumpy especially since they have to be there so early. I love the wide variety on the menu, if you want some good bagels in Davis (especially if you enjoy sandwich bagels)I would highly recommend going to POSH. My go to is the gourmet Asiago bagel with plain cream cheese and lox. I never had a problem with their Lox, it always seems fresh even their lox cream cheese isn't just cream with flavoring, they actually put pieces of lox in there and it makes it 10x better. read more

I have been eating herb turkey bagels at Posh Bagel since they opened, and I have never experienced or witnessed anything but great customer service. I even witnessed one of the employees spend a good ten minutes assisting a woman who seemed very mentally ill with the menu. These people have the worst customer service ever after getting my order wrong 3 times ( 4 times today!!)I finally called them and ask them if they could do something about it I talked to Joanne who said she would get my order right this time and give me a 20% discount which I wasn't too worried about I just wanted her to make it right. I get there I place my order she gets my order wrong put extra things on it charges me for it and then tells me if I want she can make my sandwich over after I waited about 20 minutes for it.( She was aware I would have limited time do to my lunch break at y) runs everything on my card even though I gave her a gift certificate that someone gave me.Then says it's my fault maybe I should order and say it different next time. Very disappointed I am saddened that I referred people to eat here if this is how they treat them. Food is overpriced as well. I'm going to report them to better business bureau. Love this place. After a night on the town I went to Posh Bagel dehydrated and hungry. They did not disappoint. I order a gourmet Spinach Asiago bagel with hummus from the extremely knowledgeable and helpful employee, Marisol. The bagel was tasty and top notch quality. Posh is a nice contrast to Starbucks next store, far more relaxed and accommodating. God know I wouldn't have survived the hustle and bustle of Starbucks in my condition. Just went once, yesterday, and didn't really like the sausage or cheese in the breakfast sandwich and the bagel didn't seem that fresh but I might be spoiled by my favorite bagel place in Alameda. Thst is all I have to compare to. The coffee was good here. Nice lemon water available free/self serve. Place had a convenience store feel to it. Lots of packaged chips, treats and refrigerated drinks. Average pricing. Large bagel sandwich menu. Staff was nice enough. Guy employee kept straightening things up in his down time. Temperature was nice and cozy (was freezing outside). Plenty of seating but not sure why they had a kids Nickelodeon show playing on the big screen because there were no kids in there. Also there was a fake Christmas tree sitting in a pot in the front corner. It looked really sad and bent like it was just pulled out of an old box and set there. I really wanted to fix it or fluff it up haha. I might go back if Starbucks was too crowded. read more

I just had the matcha green tea frappe with boba...yes, this bagel spot does boba...and pretty darn good too! The server was super helpful and made it really fast. Keep in mind that this isn't that mild green tea with fake syrups at other boba places. It's matcha green tea, which usually comes as a powder, so just keep that in mind.
