Today I visited The Post for the first time. I recently moved from the Germantown area and with everything popping up on the "Goss Strip" I'm sad I've missed it all! We went for a late catch up lunch and had the nicest server! We were the only people sitting outside but she was extremely attentive and I never felt forgotten. My friend ordered the lunch social with a slice of pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad, it came with a drink for $8 (it's not on the printed menu so you have to ask for it). The pizza slice was huge and came out piping hot. I opted for a chicken sub sandwich and chips (I know, I know....go to a pizza place and get a sandwich...relax). It was delicious! The half size was more than enough. The bread was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, fresh grilled chicken, and mounds of peppers and onions. The chips were bagged but didn't disappoint. We had a great lunch for 2 for under $20. I'm saving my 5 star review update when we go back for dinner and drinks, but I'm sure an update is coming! read more

Went at 10:30 last night. They serve food until 2:00 AM, but made it very obvious they did not want to serve us. We were told by 3 different people that there was a 45 minute wait on food. We told each that was ok. We tried to order and were told the grill was closed and he rattled off about 10 things we couldn't order. Again we said fine and ordered pizza. Again told very long wait. All food came out in about 10 minutes. Every table had their food in same time after receiving same food delay warning. Seems like the employees were managing the place and decided they didn't feel like working anymore. Food was pretty good but wouldn't make any effort to return. read more

I visited on a monday night. The beer list was nice with lots of different types of brew. We ordered the cheese sticks and they came out within 10 minutes piping hot with a terrific marinara. We barely got thru two sticks each when our White Flag 12' pie came out. The roasted red peppers were literally the best I have ever had. The blobs of ricotta cheese on the pizza were toasty and like little clouds. It was an awesome pairing with the county boy cougar bait beer. Thanks Post staff! I went to the Post with my fiance'. She got some pizza and we both got a beer. She paid with her card, but we wanted to tip in cash. We gave a 20 for change. We got our money back and tipped 30%. We then went to Kroger and realized that I only had seven dollars left from the change given. We went back and the bartender said she gave us all the change. The manager went to the office and says he looked over the tapes and saw her give a ten, a five, and five ones. We let it go, because we had already been waiting for so long. We emptied all of our pockets and there was no ten dollar bill to be found. None in the car either. I call shenanigans. It's just ten bucks, but this is just a poor review. Yes, we should have counted the change better when we got it, but this was still dodgy business worth mentioning. Update: Business owner responded with this "Our General Manager offered to show you the security camera footage which proved you had been given correct change. You declined to see the camera footage and stated it must have been your mistake. Accusations that our business practices are dishonest and that we stole from you, no matter how small the amount, are false and unnecessary." The general manager did NOT offer to show us the security camera. He very politely stated that he saw the bartender place a ten dollar bill down. Of course I believed him. He did offer to keep looking at the footage himself to see if someone grabbed it after we left, but I declined. I knew that my fiance' had taken all of the bills given to her. I also did not say that it was my mistake. I stated that it might have been my mistake, as you would do if someone told you they saw something like that on camera. After searching our pockets, wallet, and the car we realized it was impossible. There was no ten dollar bill. I stated that your business practices were "dodgy". We weren't given correct change, and when we politely tried to reconcile the situation, we were still refused. There is the chance that we came up with a "ten dollar scam" to help compensate for my teaching salary and my fiance's pharmacy supervisor position, but we're just not that Bonnie and Clyde. If you want to demand that the customer is wrong and shame me for using this forum as it is intended, feel free to do so. I just happen to consider that as bad business. That's not slander. The building and decor are really well done. We come here all the time and the food is always great. The staff are very friendly and clearly take pride in what they do. Tonight we sat at the bar and Alexandra took care of us. She was very nice, attentive, knowledgeable and very well spoken. We always feel at home when we stop by. read more

While their pizza is good (but soaked in grease when served) their attitude suck. You'd get friendlier service at Pizza Hit. The past 3 times I've been in all the staff seems as if they are bothered or irritated by their own customers. This place has changed. When they first opened they had a very warm and inviting staff, a few weeks ago I watched a guy who says he is the manager get in a screaming match with a customer. When I asked questions about some of the beers he became very irritated. I ordered take out and got home only to find my pizza was placed on 3 paper plates with a 4th plate smashed into and shoved into a bag. There was so much grease on the pizza the bag was saturated. We also love behind their building and often see (and smell) people in apron standing near the back door smoking pot. Last year I would have given this place 5 stars but the atmosphere provided by the staff seems to be that customers should feel privileged to dine in their establishment. I guess they have forgotten it was their neighbors who made them successful. read more

My boyfriend and I have been visiting The Post since it has been open over a year ago. The kitchen being open late is quite appealing to us because we both get off work around 11 any given night of the week. We used to visit up to 3 or 4 times a week (while spending tons of money) and we love the pesto bread as well as the giant slices and good beer selection. We have been to The Post probably 3 or 4 times this month and the service has been horrible each time. Every time we are there it seems that the bartenders are annoyed to have bar guests and let our drinks sit empty for up to 10 or 15 minutes. Where do i begin!? This is the first time i have ever given a review in my life! So bad that i just had too. A fifty-fifty crapshoot is the best way i could describe the pizza by the slice. Knowing in advance that the pizza's are pre made and then warmed when ordered and also aware that when with someone, both orders will be ready at the same time. After my friend had ordered a dish that would have to be made fresh and i, a simple slice of pepperoni pizza had ask the bartender/waitress if i could get it as soon as it was ready and she of course replied yes. Thirty-five minutes later my friend and i were served at the same time. Apparently my slice was under a heat lamp waiting on my friends order to be finished. The three day old looking pizza was just that. Couldn't look at it much less eat it. Wouldn't feed it to a dog! Not to say other items aren't good as i once ordered a whole pizza that was fresh and hot that was so so at best. One never knows, after a couple of beers you may not notice or care. My fourth time there and last. Those of you that can't find this place feel lucky because that is exactly what you are. read more

You know you made a good choice when you arrive to a packed house (literally) on a storm threatened Tuesday evening around 8:30! Pretty much when you walk through the doors, you can feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere! Started our night off splitting a slice (?) of cheese pizza and a small (?) Caesar Salad, these two by themselves would easily stood in for a "light" meal for two (and we both have hearty appetites) and only cost us $7.50 ($3.00 huge slice and $4.50 packed bowl of tasty Caesar Salad)! We could not stop there, so we decided on a 16" Lone Wolf Pizza and very glad we did (half the pizza will be a good lunch tomorrow). Pepperoni, ham, sausage and bacon along with green pepper, onion, mushroom and black olive were all very fresh and tasty! Details, from the fresh sauce to the perfectly spicy sausage and the green pepper sliced just right to remain a little crispy and not limp or soggy. Of course a good crust can make or break a decent pizza, this crust was perfection as it was crispy on the bottom but still retained a little pull, some elasticity! Very impressed with my first visit here, I will be back (likely very soon) and look forward to sampling more pizzas as well as some Subs (several sandwiches and calzones to choose from)! I did not even mention the drink specials, $5 Pitchers of Coors Light, $3 Cuervo Shots and $4 Four Roses along with 2-3 Wines offered at a Special Price! One of my favorite places to eat for lunch. The cheese bread (or whatever it's called on the menu) is amazing! I can't say I really liked the pizza that much but I've only tried it once. The sandwiches are really, really good. Service is good and wait times (for food) aren't bad. It's usually busy when we go but that doesn't seem to affect the service or food. My only gripe, and to me it's a minor one, sometimes the crust or bread on sandwiches is overcooked almost to burnt. But againt, for me it's a minor complaint. read more

I have been to The Post several times and am continuously disappointed. The service-fine. If you like beer-fine. But their pizza is mediocre at best. I don't understand what everyone is raving about. Just last night my husband and I went there with a few friends and we both ordered Calzones-and subsequently both agreed they were the worst calzones we'd ever encountered. Foul would not even begin to describe what we were given last night. These calzones were so incredulously greasy. Swimming in orange grease. The bottoms were burnt to hell. They somehow reasoned it would be a good idea to mix ricotta and mozzarella cheese without warning-except they weren't truly mixed. I got pepperoni in mine which was disgusting and tasted medicinal. So there's a clue that their ingredients are questionable. We left there feeling almost ill. A better name for this place would be the Grease Post. Never going back, especially with the other phenomenal pizzerias we have in Louisville. read more

I recently had my first visit to The Post. The atmosphere was very pleasant even if it was a bit too loud. Next time I will make a point of sitting further from the bar. I'm not into beer, but I could quickly tell that it is a great place for those who like the suds. When I ordered a sandwich I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come with either chips or fries because I was afraid that just a sandwich wouldn't be enough food. Boy, was I wrong! My sandwich was huge and great tasting! I got a good value for my money and I'm sure I will be back. My only disappointment was the service. It wasn't terrible, but as soon as two young muscular guys came in and sat at the bar I suspected I wasn't going to see my waitress again. I was right. The guys had a quick lunch and hadn't been gone even twenty seconds before she then returned to my table to ask me if I wanted anything. By then it was too late for a refill as I had to get back to work. With just a little more consideration her tip could have been a lot bigger. read more
