    Grouper with rice and asparagus
    Kimberly S.

Went on Valentines Day with my husband, so I'm not sure how often the menu is switched up. I had the grouper with sticky rice and asparagus. It was delicious. My husband ordered the pork chops with smashed sweet potatoes and asparagus. He ate every bite of it. Very good food, great service. Will definitely go back again.

I can't believe a place this awesome and modern is in this small little town. It's a great farm to table type of place. The food is always delicious. They have a couple of rotating good beers on tap. The food is always amazing. Whether it's a sandwich, chicken, or fish dish. It's a great spot to hang out with friends or to have a date night. The only thing I was not as thrilled about was the bruschetta as it's served cold. This is a personal preference as I would prefer the topping to be heated.

First time visit. Having grown up in Kernersville its still a place we go to visit relatives and shop as we are comfortable with it. Thought to give this place a try. Initially we almost walked out. After being seated we sat for over 5 minutes before anyone came to our table. The waiter was initially standoffish. Watched the other wait staff and it appeared they were also struggling. However, as the dinner progressed our waiter became much friendlier as his workload reduced from people leaving. Have to remember how much wait staff is being overworked in this environment we have today. As far as the ambiance in the restaurant, its a little cold. As the evening wore on and the sun dropped, the lighting in the restaurant took over and it became a much more welcoming space. I believe a group was shag dancing in an adjacent room which also was taking time from the bartender. We started out with a mojito and pomegranate margarita, both were excellent! They brought out bread, cranberry and walnut. Neither of us are fans of fruit in our bread, but for those of you that are you will find it delicious. The #1 winner was the creamy truffle lobster dip, it was amazing. The wine list is plain and not very extensive but the waiter told us about a wine that was not on the list and recommended we try it. He let my wife try a sample out of a new bottle, thats a plus! It was good and we kept it. Later he told us about our wines off the list they have; Stags Leap, Silver Oak, etc. Not sure why we were not told during our extensive questioning of the list about all of the off list items. For a ribeye, they cooked it perfect. The meat was excellent quality and the sauce it was fixed with was amazing. Seafood risotto was also top notch. We were full but pushed on to the bread pudding desert just to be able to give a complete review. Summary - Overall the best food we have experienced since moving back. I am amazed and happy this restaurant settled in Kernersville. The environment gets better later and we will remember that. 5+ Food 3.5 Ambiance / Environment. Given our knowledge we will go later next time and I am sure we will move the rating to a 5 that visit.

I have been wanting to try the Prescott. The last time I was in Kernersville my family had lunch there. Lunch is more upscale than other spots in town. It wasn't busy so we were seated right away. Our waitress was amazing. She mentioned that steak used to be on the kids menu and she would see if my son could still order it. luckily the kitchen had a kid size steak so he was in heaven. I ordered the softshell crab sandwich with a side of lobster bisque. The soup came out first and it was delicious. It had chunks of lobster and the soup was very creamy. My son steak was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. he really enjoyed it along with his mashed potatoes. My sandwich was very good and I enjoyed the sauce they put on it. The crab was very . My husband enjoyed his chicken wrap. Their french fries were perfectly cooked and very crispy. The only downside was they did not have their chocolate cake. My son wanted to have that for dessert but they were out of it, we plan to come back since we had such a great experience.

The Prescott has class! It is a fancy restaurant in a little town, where folks from other surrounding cities and towns come to have an elegant dinner. The location is somewhat difficult to find for a non local once you find it definitely will remember it for your next visit. The interior is decorated with taste and location is very clean and well maintained. Extra clean bathrooms and what raises this review at least one star is the use of professional and elegant table cloths and napkins. This detail in itself provides the guests with expectations and promise. Our server (Dylan/Dillon) was very attentive and helpful with particular attention to all the phases of our dining experience. The meals are obviously prepared by a chef not a cook and the dish presented elegantly. Fresh ingredients and "farm to table" statement was obvious in the great taste. Wine selection is great and wines are served proper temperature. We had steak and cheese hoagie, lobster soup , and the Prescott Club sandwich all very well prepared and delicious. Live music tops the overall experience! Overall solid 4.5 stars! We'll come back at other time and we're highly recommend it for a great dining experience!

This place!!! Omg! We had some trouble finding the entrance, but that's probably just user error- lol. We had about a 30 minute wait, but I'd say pretty worth it. The food was delicious, absolutely. The only room for improvement would be the drinks. They tasted mostly like straight alcohol, which some people like, but I prefer to be able to walk straight after Sunday lunch with mom! Anyways, we will definitely come back!

(4.5 stars) We were in need of a meal to mark an occasion, and The Prescott's strong reviews lead us to Kernersville. Housed in a cluster of shops, The Prescott is small and easy to miss. Try the food, however, and you'll be glad that you didn't. Though not spacious, The Prescott does not feel cramped. It offers a comfortable atmosphere with appealing art. We showed up around noon for a Sunday brunch sans reservation and were seated immediately without difficulty. As befitting a farm-to-table eatery, what's on the menu may vary depending on what's in season. No matter what time of year, however, expect a compact but tantalizing selection. The brunch offerings during our visit included an upscaled French toast, a full English breakfast, a lobster Benedict, steak and eggs, and more. We ultimately settled on the French toast with a side of potatoes and the lobster Benedict. Good food takes time, but even with that maxim in mind, the kitchen was somewhat slow. To The Prescott's credit, an amuse-bouche (fresh berries and Greek yogurt) was offered to tide diners over, a classy touch that was refreshingly tart and crisp. Service was otherwise sharp: prompt, courteous, and welcoming. The thoughtfully plated food proved well worth the wait. The Benedict had no shortage of lobster, the eggs were poached perfectly, and the few accompanying blistered tomatoes helped offset the other components' saltiness. The crisp, herby potatoes were addictively good. The French toast used pumpkin bread, an odd choice given how sweet and dense it is already. While that's probably not the best fit for this dish, it proved tasty nevertheless. While the dinner experience here may differ from brunch, a refined and competently executed menu and on-point service make The Prescott an appealing "occasion" meal spot.

Had a going away dinner here for one of my coworkers. The atmosphere is very nice, quiet, and somewhat romantic. It would be a perfect dinner date. I ordered the honey suckle chicken entree and it was very delicious. The mashed potatoes were seasoned well and so were the summer vegetables that came with the meal. I also ordered both desserts (no judgement needed lol) because I couldn't choose between the Apple Brandy bread pudding or the Creme Brulee cheesecake! They were both AMAZING!!! I didn't eat them in the same sitting lol but I was not disappointed in either and I will gladly order both the next time I go

We had been wanting to try this spot and remembered it on a cold Friday night. It was cozy inside without rushed service. The food was a positive experience with some new trys. Not the greatest food I've ever had but worth a stop. The bread service prior to the meal had soft bread and a yummy spread. The lamb bbq sandwich had a unique flavor. The lobster was rich in flavor as expected. Also tried the crème brûlée cheesecake which held a light flavor.

I cleaned my plate! I had the salmon w lentils, mixed veggies w a little horseradish and a light taste of butter and sweetness. Very healthy and the salmon portion was quite large. The atmosphere is quite cozy and chic and staff is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is tucked in an alleyway across from the bank and ample parking in the back. Located in the heart of the old Main Street area of Kville. I throughly enjoyed the food and the creativity of same. They will be seeing me again!

Mother's Day..... I have heard so many good things about this place. We had a reservation and were seated quickly in the large back room that was poorly lit and very cold. The main restaurant is beautifully decorated but the back room is an afterthought. Our waitress brought came and took drink orders. We needed a few minutes to read the menu. Once food was ordered it took about an hour for it to appear. We were told twice that our order was next up.... When it appeared, EVERYONE'S food was COLD! It had obviously been sitting for quite awhile. The cheese sauce on mine was cold but the tomato and lettuce were warm and wilted. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I did actually try my cold food-- the flavor was amazing and it would have been phenomenal if it were warm. The only thing that was hot was the corn chowder that my daughter ordered as an appetizer. It was very good. The rest was a huge disappointment. This place had a special menu for Mother's Day- HINT: if you can't get good help, don't open. Sad sad sad

Enter the restaurant, head to the counter and was greeted immediately. The young lady took our order offered suggestions as well as patience while we ordered. Our food was served within 10 minutes after we ordered. I ordered 2 sliders, 2 tenders, sweet potato fries, and a drink for $15. Now here's the best part, it is GOOD! Everything was served hot. The fries and tenders were crispy! The sliders were the size of a small burger from any fast food chains. Now here's the kicker for all my ice munching lovers, they have that good ice! We were in the mood for some "fancy" burgers, and given what they do here at Sammy's (and that we had never been) decided to go for it. We both left wishing we had gone to one of several other known quantities in the area that also have some creative burgers. We both ordered the 2 slider combo, one of us went with two burger sliders, the other did a burger and chicken tender slider. One of us got fries, the other upgraded to onion rings. We also added on an all the way hot dog, because I can't help myself but try them wherever I go. Service at the counter was helpful, and the restaurant pretty clean. Drinks are self-serve in somewhat of a tight area for people moving through. They give you a number and bring the food to your table when ready. When the meal arrived, just visually, we were not excited by anything... except the hot dog. We'll start there, the brightest spot of the meal. The bun was clearly buttered and griddled, and biting in, you get a tasty frank, balanced chili and slaw, just enough onions and mustard. If I were to return, it would probably be for hot dogs. All three slider burgers were dry as a bone. They did not at all give the appearance of a burger that was griddled to order. The bacon cheeseburger did not come with any kind of sauce, to make that edible, we added some ranch that came with the onion rings. The buffalo chicken tender slider was quite bland for buffalo style, and soggy. The fries were good, but the onion rings were not. I don't think the oil was hot enough, so not only were they mealy and not crispy, they were just so oily that it made them unappealing. Given what we paid, and compared to other burgers in the area, I don't see us coming back.

Great casual atmosphere, the staff have really come into their own, and the food is simple but has little touches that often make it a small cut above most other sports bar type places around. My favorite things to order are the smashburgers, chicken philly (almost as good as the one at Old Town, a restaurant also belonging to this same owner), and now the fish and chips. I decided to get those last night, and the fish was two good size thick cod filets, fried and breaded perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender, the remoulade it came with really elevated it, I'm glad it was not plain tartar sauce (gross). The appetizer favorite here is the pulled pork nachos for me, otherwise, we usually just get meals. If I had one small complaint, it's that the tea is usually brewed pretty weak. It's not to be confused with Fig and Olive Cafe in Greensboro. Fig & Olive is new to Stock + Grain. It opened last month, July 2025. Stock + Grain opened in early 2022. The food hall has really filled in since then. We visited for dinner before a Carolina Core soccer game and the place was packed. My wife and I were drawn to Fig & Olive's menu. We wanted something light and relatively healthy. They sell sandwiches and bowls, priced at $11 to $18.50 each. We both got the Portofino Bowl for $16.50 each. It comes with baby arugula, soppressata, bresaola, marinated artichoke hearts, shaved pecorino romano, fresh lemon, and extra virgin olive oil. The bowls/salads were presented nicely. One of our friends commented that they looked "delightful." Unfortunately, the bowls looked better than they tasted. They were unbalanced and hard to enjoy. We were unable to finish them. While the portion sizes were decent, I was working/chewing through a lot of dense, cured meat. There wasn't any dressing except for the EVOO (which I'm not sure we even noticed) and some lemon wedges. Overall, the bowls weren't that flavorful. They felt incomplete. The quality of the ingredients was fine, though. They give you a pager so you know when to pick up your order. When I went to pick up our bowls, they made a mistake and only prepared one bowl instead of two. I let them know and later, the cashier brought my bowl directly to where we were sitting. She was polite and apologetic. No big deal to me. It looked like there were only two people working and they were busy. Given how new this place is and the appealing menu, I'd be willing to give it another shot. Maybe they were still working some kinks out and/or we ordered the wrong thing. Fig & Olive is certainly a nice addition to Stock + Grain's lineup.
