Chipotle beer cheese flatbread.

Wow! The food is incredible. Their signature burger is absolutely incredible and different. Steaks are great. Good flatbreads. Deserts looked incredible going by. Service was great. Food cake out pretty fast. Very unassuming ambiance.

"Good Vibes, great bites!"

Our dinner at The Press was a delicious blend of comfort food and classic favorites. We started with the lightly breaded calamari, which was crisp on the outside, tender inside, and perfectly seasoned. The breading was light enough to let the fresh flavor of the calamari shine, and the grilled pineapple added just the right touch. For the main course, my husband went with The Conquistadore Burger--juicy, well-seasoned, and stacked with bold toppings that created a rich, satisfying bite every time - this burger won best of St Augustine. I ordered the Steakhouse Burger, which was equally impressive, boasting a smoky, savory flavor that paired perfectly with its hearty toppings. Both burgers were served on house made buns and came with one side. Service was prompt and friendly, and the relaxed atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the evening. By the time we left, we were already talking about what we'd try on our next visit. Rating: -- A great spot for a casual meal with food worth coming back for. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

Steakhouse Burger and the Conquestidor. Burger!!!

From the delicious pretzel and beer cheese and homemade fried pickles For starters - then the burgers were amazing!!!! To top it almond the white chocolate bread pudding was AMAZING! And all served by our wonderful waitress Audrey! Great job! We will be back for sure!!!

I didn't order this burger but had to take a photo!! Staff said it's called the vanquisher.

We will find any reason to drive 95 miles to St Augustine just to be able to grab a burger here. Lunch or dinner, it's all good! And it's not all burgers... check out the menu there something for everyone. It's a small establishment with amazing staff & fast chefs. Seating is mainly inside with a few casual tables outside the front entrance. Establishment is in a plaza with shared parking.

If I could give it more stars I would. This place hands down rocked my world! I had the filet mignon, with grilled veggies and the most amazing shrimp and lobster cream sauce and my husband had seafood pot pie. I can't wait to come back to this little gem.

Traveling, he drove past it while I ck on yelp, looked good so we turned around. Got there around 5, not a big place. Sam the bartender was welcoming and made my man happy with a cold Amstel Light, his fav! I got the chicken corn chowder, nice n hot with a kick to it. Prime rib sandwich was good, could have used more meat. He enjoyed the salad that came with it and the mushrooms (for me ) n onions on the side. When we were leaving the place was filling up. Definitely would go back, pictures do not do them justice.

The Press is a cozy spot in a strip mall. We had to make reservations for this small place, otherwise we would not have been seated. Food was good. Portions were large and the service was good. We were interested in trying the large pretzel with the cheese sauce. So yummy. For entrees we had the goat cheese and spinach flatbread, the el Cuban, the Cabernet mushroom and Swiss burger, the prime rib sandwich and side salad. The burger was really good, but I don't care for Swiss cheese. It seems you can't ask for substitutions here. However, I did like it regardless. The day we dined had a dessert special of Key Lime Pie for $5, so look for that on Thursday nights, if available. The portions were good but overall I thought the prices were fair considering the quality of ingredients. Everything was very fresh and well prepared. We had a really good experience here, but you must make a reservation if you want to sit in dining area.

The small dining room was packed, and dinners were patiently waiting inside and outside. That was the indicator of excellent cuisine. This chef driven, no kidding tasty food and extremely friendly place won our heart last night. We drove from Orlando to the Nights of Lights in St. Augustine, and decided to have dinner at The Press. The Open Table reservation at 7 truly helped. We walked in at 7 and Brystol asked me, "Are you Tony?" Then she sat us right away. The folks in the queue was impressed. Brystol was also our server. We recommended the Sangria, so we took one red and one white. They only have beers, wines, and Sangria. We started with the Ginger Calamari, which was delicious and fresh. I also tried the House Onion Soup, which I really liked the way it was -- not so much of cheese and I could taste the sweetness of the onion and other ingridients. We ordered the 2 special dishes of the evening, both with a touch of New Orleans flavors. I had the steak and shrimp, with medium heat; my guest had the fish and shrimp. The entree portions were huge, but well garnished. My medium steak was perfect. I loved the way the greenbeans were cooked, still green and crunchy. Each main course came with a side salad with a dressing of choice. No room for desserts after such a great meal. I couldn't get the name of the young man who expedited the food, but he made the dining experience special, with nice smiles and prompt attention. I wish this place can grow and perhaps expend its dining room by taking over the spot next door. They deserve the higher ranking though not to be right at the historic corridor. I sincerely thanked the culinary team and Brystol for such a great dining experience. We will return soon.

I ordered the fish burger and it honestly surprised me in the best way it was way better than I expected. My partner went with the regular burger and loved it too. I also have to mention the banana pudding because it was AMAZING. Easily the best I've had so far, and I'm not even exaggerating. The service really stood out as well. Our waitress went above and beyond to help me figure out what the veggie burger was made of and even looked into the company that makes it since I'm picky about veggie burgers. That level of care doesn't go unnoticed. We dined outside and although noisy from the traffic, it was nice. Overall, such a great experience. They really have something for everyone. Definitely recommend checking it out and don't skip the banana pudding.

I asked the server about it and she just told me that it was a 1/2. In an effort to not make a big deal about it, my daughter jumped right in and offered to switch patties with me since she wasn't that hungry. It was immediately obvious that I had a smaller patty since the new one filled the croissant. Second: I asked to substitute the burger buns for the croissant buns they have on a different burger. I was surprised to see the bill showing a $2.50 up charge despite the burgers costing around the same amount and buns being needed anyway + no mention of any up-charge! Third: Our party included two adults + three children + a toddler + an infant. Somehow that warranted an automatic gratuity. We're normally generous tippers but it didn't feel right to have an amount pushed on us without disclosure. We would have tipped anyway despite the servers obvious fake smile and negative demeanor but this just added to the overall poor experience. Our family has no issue paying 25%, or more if service is exceptional, on $600 bills (often at steak houses more-so than regular restaurants) but I walked away feeling cheated here.

One of the coolest touches? A TV disguised as a piece of art that's actually a live stream of downtown St. Augustine. Such a fun, unique detail! Now let's talk food I ordered the shrimp and grits tacos, and WOW--they were packed with flavor. The grits added this unexpected crunch that worked so well with the shrimp. The textures blended perfectly and made every bite interesting. My husband went for the Miyagi beef tacos... and let's just say there were zero leftovers. He cleaned his plate, which says everything. Great vibes, creative food, and a memorable experience all around. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

We both ordered the Black Bean Sweet Potato Burger, one vegetarian with pimento cheese, and one vegan. Everything was prepared and served with care--the servers identified each dish as it came out, noting whether it was vegan, which is always appreciated.
