    Wedge salad
    Deana M.

My husband and I decided to stop in after our movie. I had a Bombay Sapphire martini and it was perfection! My husband had a Stella Artois beer and a glass of the Belle Gloss Dairyman. We both had a salad to start, a Caesar and wedge. Both were very good. We each had a flatbread, margarita and pepperoni. We sat at the bar and met the owners Tammy and Randy. What a fun time. There was a band playing on the patio and they were excellent!! We will definitely return!!

This is my 2nd visit. My 1st visit was on a Sunday during brunch during September 2021. We were walk-ins and were able to get a table outdoors for 3. Weather was fantastic. I had a blushing mimosa, followed by their house sangria. Their brie cheese and dried fruit plate was yummy. There was live music too which just made the vibe enjoyable. Our friend who was with us ordered a wine and was asked if he wanted to try it first. He declined since he already tried that vintage. Lol. My 2nd visit was last Friday evening and showed up about 30 min after they opened. I was looking forward to sitting outdoors but was disappointed that we couldn't because they were setting up for an event and also other tables were reserved. I had been on their website during the last couple weeks and hadn't seen anything about recommending reservations otherwise I would've made one. Anyways, we were seated inside. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise because the musician eventually showed up outside and was a bit loud for us to have a conversation. it was a bit cold and only a couple tables had a fire outside, so I would have been cold. I loved my sangria and it was large, so, that was all I could drink. The caprese salad was probably my favorite dish. The huge fresh mozzarella ball in the center was so creamy. The pepperoni flatbread was good. The crab cakes were a little dry but tasty. The brie cheese and dried fruit and nuts is always a safe choice. Can't go wrong there! My husband had a couple beers and was offered a taste on his 2nd round to see which one of the two he liked. My sister had a couple different wines but wasn't asked if she wanted to try before ordering. She knows what she likes but I think it should've been offered. Overall, I'd come again!

Came here for an event and got great service for a party of 25+. We mainly ordered drinks but the food that we had was solid -- a step up from bar snacks but not a full restaurant selection. They have a good amount of indoor space but also a nice outdoor area. The waiters were able to successfully keep track of multiple bills and also kept checking on us routinely. Only suggestion would be to add some fans or covering outside for the hot summer days in Tracy.

    Meatball Pasta

I have to start off by saying come here for the drinks because the food is a hit or miss! My husband ordered the meatball pasta and the meatball was so hard that he couldn't cut into it. He had to flip it over and attempt to cut it from the side that had been sitting in a bed of marinara that was so grainy that had to come straight from a jar of Prego. My chicken alfredo was decent but some pieces of chicken were hard and had fatty pieces. Also, we were a group of 12 and it took well over an hour to receive our food. When the food started to come out, some folks got their meals 15 minutes after others. I was disappointed because we did indeed enjoy the atmosphere. We sat outside with a group of friends and started on drinks that were really good. I'm hoping they just had an awful day but the meatball pasta still haunts me!

Aaron's special and a fantastic glass of Chardonnay that was recommended by Nicole (bartender).

Literally my favorite bar/restaurant in Tracy! Tammy & Randy (owners) are some of the nicest and most attentive owners you'll ever meet. Very good food and great wine but they also serve tasty cocktails and beer on tap. Tammy is the wine whisperer (always has a great wine recommendation!) and Randy is the foodie. Between their super attentive service and their staff's friendliness (Nicole + Gail are awesome!) you can't go wrong.

This is the Dark and Stormy made by the owner... I was expecting this tonight. Sept 22, 2023

Great place to sit and relax and have a glass of wine or one of the craft brew on tap. Wish they still had the live jazz I've seen in the past. Service was great and everyone was very nice.

Service is always amazing. Drink menu was a surprise and were delicious. The appetizers did not disappoint.

We sat outdoors on a beautiful day--the atmosphere was lovely with great vibes, and we even caught some World Cup soccer on the large TV while we dined. It felt casual yet upscale, perfect for unwinding. We started with glasses of wine--my wife loved her Aperol Spritz, and I enjoyed a crisp Pinot Grigio. For our appetizer, we ordered the zucchini florets (fiori di zucca) stuffed with ricotta cheese and served in a marinara sauce. They were delicious and a fantastic way to begin the meal. For our mains, we both went with salads: the Salmon salad for me and the Caesar salad for her. Both were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we wanted--light but satisfying. We enjoyed every bite of everything we ordered. The service was excellent and attentive, which really elevated the experience. Big thanks to the team for making us feel welcome and taking such good care of us.We'll definitely be back to Locanda Wine Bar. From the very beginning, Diane went above and beyond to help me plan this special day. She answered my many questions, worked through every accommodation with me, and made the entire booking process seamless. Her kindness, patience, and genuine enthusiasm made me feel like she was just as invested in the celebration as I was. By the end of the planning process, I had unofficially promoted her to honorary bridesmaid status. When we arrived, Valeria and Kayla were fantastic. They immediately jumped into "surprise mode," graciously playing along by checking us in at the host stand and escorting us to our table without giving anything away. Their teamwork helped keep the bride-to-be completely unsuspecting until she walked into a room full of family and friends. Valeria also accommodated my request to play a millennial throwback playlist, and every hit had us singing along--it was the perfect soundtrack for the afternoon. Our server, Skylar, was equally wonderful. She made excellent wine recommendations, was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, and truly made us feel at home. Even after our reserved time had ended, she warmly invited us to stay and continue enjoying ourselves. What was supposed to be a two-hour brunch turned into nearly four hours of laughter, wine, and celebrating, and we never once felt like we were inconveniencing anyone. The beautiful winery, delicious brunch, excellent wine, and stunning atmosphere were everything I had hoped for. But what truly made this experience exceptional was the people. Diane, Valeria, Kayla, Skylar, and the entire Murrieta's Well team created an experience that felt warm, personal, and genuinely special. Planning a surprise from start to finish can be stressful, but thanks to this incredible team, all I had to do was enjoy watching my best friend's reaction. So I have very mixed feelings about this place. Some things are incredible. Some things are not…read moreso great. I am a member of the "Legends" club. So that to me means it's top of the line membership as indicated by their pricing and what we get. So I feel I should get top notch deals, pricing and service. Turns out, we get the same shaft as the lower club members. Starting with the good, the location is pristine. Nice area with lots of room for kids and adults to mingle and play. The wine is also pretty darn good. Of course there are some better than others but I enjoy most of their wine. The service is also for the most part very good. The waitstaff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Their food is also pretty darn good. It's not incredible, and a bit overpriced but it's fine enough. Their wine pricing is also fair (but of course with the highest membership we get the biggest discount). My biggest complaints would be the price gouging and lack of communication. We made arrangements on a Friday to show Sunday with 6 and asked for the "VIP space upgrade to lounge or upstairs Vista Patio Lounge (when available)". They said no problem. When we showed on Sunday they said it was closed with no notice. Just a sorry. OK whatever. We sit inside (6 people and 2 children) and they charge for 2 children a "non drinker" charge of $10 ($5 each). A head count charge for non-drinkers? For children? Total nonsense! I am spending over $1,200 a year here and you want to gouge me for someone's kids? Their tastings are $40 a pop which is really crazy. Our price is waived on this so that's fine but if you are not a member you are paying a lot for a little. The wines do take a bit of time to come and they don't give you a lot. Kind of a bummer waiting for the taste. We ended up with 4 appetizers (sliders $24, Charcuterie $25, Tater Tots $12 and Pretzel Bites with Grilled Sausage $16) 2 bottles of wine and $4.25 for water and the bill was over $250. Oh and top that off, with 6 people, they charge a mandatory 20% on the bill for a tip and are basing that with taxes (as the button default), not the actual sub-total so they are actually getting about 23%. All in all, I am not sure that the cost is worth what you get. I mean we are giving them a lot of money just to be members and then having to pay more and more for anything else that really should be included (like water and kids) makes this place just a bit too over-rated for me. Probably end my club membership in the fall and go someplace that doesn't place money first.

I really wanted to like this place. I'd walked by several times and loved the interior design, and the videos on Instagram made it seem like such a great spot. I stopped in one evening by myself, ordered a glass of wine and the warm olives (which were delicious), and was looking forward to a relaxing night. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest disappointment. The restaurant was packed, and the atmosphere felt more concerned with maintaining an image than making guests feel welcome. I understand some restaurants embrace a more reserved European style of service, but this came across as cold and pretentious rather than intentional hospitality. As a solo diner especially, I didn't feel acknowledged or valued as a guest. It also didn't help that the dining room had a noticeable body odor smell that took away from the experience. On a positive note, the bathroom was clean and beautifully designed. I originally thought this would become my go-to place to grab a glass of wine while waiting for a table at the ramen spot next door, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Reading through other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who had this impression. Oakland's charm has always been its people. You can open a French-inspired wine bar, but hospitality translates into every language. If you're going to bring a Parisian aesthetic to Oakland, don't mistake indifference for sophistication. Guests should leave feeling welcomed, not judged.
