The truly healthiest, tastiest, most well-balanced food is what I've discovered here. A friend of mine was looking for a healthy vegan cleansing meal plan provider to make life easier. After she met with the nutritionist for a custom plan, I was so impressed I had to visit 2 days later. It's hard to find people who genuinely care to tend to dietary preferences, allergies, etc. in a nonjudgmental way--whether you're just stopping by for a meal, or transforming the way you eat on a consistent meal plan. I've been truly blown away by the continuous support of the staff here and the highest quality freshest ingredients. Over time, not only have I lost a LOT of excess weight with them, I've witnessed first-hand how dedicated they are to quality and freshness--even down to the truly raw imported Sicilian almonds they use in their fresh almond mylk! It's those little details that Pureganic doesn't brag about but are the reasons why you're getting a top of the line meal you can feel great about. I started with a week-long cleanse (which, by the way, had more food than I even needed to eat at times, so I was able to share some, too!) and then I kept consistent, by sampling the rest of the prepared foods and always doing daily green juices. The Green Bull is sweet pineapple-mint goodness (and divine!) and the Joy Blast and Green Girl are also jam-packed with nutrients. I had no idea how much densely-packed phytonutrients were in these cold-pressed juices until recently on an out-of-town trip, I got a juice with similar ingredients from another place and it literally tasted like water?! I probed that staff with several questions and found out that they use cheaper vegetables that yield higher water and compromise flavour and nutrients--Pureganic Café is the opposite. I've found Pureganic to be a much better value because you will literally taste the vibrancy and nutritional difference in every sip (and bite). Please take great care of yourself! read more

I guess every once in a while you truly realize what it means to be black in America. Will definitely not return to this restaurant due to the blatant disrespect when my wife and I first entered. Not one acknowledgement or greeting. Then when a few other(Caucasian) customers entered behind us, they received a very warm welcome. After ordering about $45 in food we sat to eat, when my latte was brought to me with a slamming of it onto the table. I even politely said thank you and was ignored. This place is amazing! If you're not a vegan or vegetarian, you will still like it. But if you are one, you can eat here and not have to wonder what is in the food. We were on a road trip and put local vegan restaurants in the search on Yelp and saw Pureganic had good reviews but boy it did not live up. We ordered off the menu and the "turkey" burger was good but nothing special for how expensive it was! And I had the BBQ pulled mushroom sandwich and I had a hard time choking it down. The mushroom was not cut properly and made it nearly impossible to take a bite without it going everywhere and it was not cooked to the right texture because it was absolutely slimey and lacked a BBQ flavor. I love this place! I came here for lunch with my daughter the first time because we both work in the area and she is a vegan, but i return because the food is great. I have eaten a lot of vegan food since my daughter became a vegan over 6 years ago, and I am often left feeling like the food was ok, but would have been better with meat and cheese. First off let me say that I am not a vegan, however I do enjoy vegan meals from time to time, along with my sister who is vegan. I pretty much never give a one star review but I feel it is deserved this time. I would normally write a whole story about the night but I can sum it up pretty quick: the service left much to be desired, the drinks (think water and juice) are priced somewhere between way to expensive and highway robbery. The food was expensive and not a good value, I have no problem paying for good food but when some leaves and greens/ beans are priced higher than I can get a decent steak for then something is wrong, not to mention that the food was nothing special, and lacked presentation and complexity, with my vegan sister concurring with my gripes. I like vegan spots and wish there was more of them. I hope the owner takes this as constructive feedback and makes changes to improve the service and menu. read more

Since owner Moshira has proclaimed to be a certified nutritionist I find it hard to comprehend her desire to HELP clients such as myself who spent $450.00 for a weight loss cleanse and only was present once during the 7 days. She said there was an emergency situation. The first three days I was told she'd be in LATER which obviously was a lie! I'm outraged that she charged that much money WITHOUT being there everyday. If you are thinking about CLEANSING for 450.00 I highly recommend NOT GOING to this venue. I am contacting the BBB to investigate her tactics and to be credited some of the money spent. But please don't think I am reviewing this place for a refund. I am just hoping I can inform others to avoid the aggravation and disappointment! read more

We were thrilled to find this type of café and had high hopes. However, tried for the first time during the evening of 12/23 and were so disappointed /angry over the experience. We had ordered a "sunflower tuna' sandwich and 'turkey' burger. The tuna sandwich looked like a small egg roll wrapped in a tiny piece of kale; the turkey burger was the size of a white castle hamburger. Our two side of hummus with veggies was served to us 20 minutes after the other items - it was terrible - warm sautéed cabbage with salty soy sauce and hummus on a plate. It looked gross and tasted that way. Thought we were on candid camera.. $30 later, we left hungry, upset, and then felt sick that evening. Shame - this makes a mockery of a vegan /vegetarian lifestyle... seems as if the place really believes people will pay anything for nothing just because it is 'special'. Go next door to BareBurger and you can have vegan/gluten free/organic and actually have a good meal. read more

I must admit it was very sceptical at first. I was introduced to the Andy's menu by a vegan friend. As a lover of all foods, I hesitated to try their dishes. Needless to say, they are all amazing! It is obvious you can see, smell and taste the freshness in all their choices. . After eating delicious salad bars and flaky spinach rolls, its hard to go back to conventional deli sandwiches and McDonalds. However, cost is an issue. I have purchased the salad bar, with a package of dried kale (great substitute for crackers or chips) averaging $20. This will give me approximately 2 meals. Its a place I will definitely visit at least once a week. read more

To indicate andys food was not previously organic or sat around in the case for days is slandering to the previous owners and would make one question your ethics. Anytime I have gone into Andy's, They have the MOST amazing dishes spread out to choose from. They get so creative with grains, veggies and fruits. Everything is FRESH. I love that you can sit and eat there or take it and go! They have a huge menu to choose from as far as SMOOTHIES, JUICES, and salads as well as whole grain wraps. I have been there like 4 times in the past 2 weeks. Each time I try something new. Just yesterday I had a quinoa veggie burger- SO filling, very tasty and the right serving size. Along with that I had diced yams, which were delicious. I have had their juices- one was made with celery goji juice, pinapple juice and spinach I think- It was bright green and made me feel SO HEALTHY from the inside out while I was drinking it. Last week I got a whole grain wrap with Tofu, greens and avocado- delish!!!!! I love it there! The staff are very laid back and very sweet too. I totally recommend it! Food was decent. Two stars for bad service and low value for price. You know those curmudgeons who say millennials can't buy a house because they're spending all their money on avocado toast? Well, this must be where they are buying it. 9 bucks for avocado on toast with micro greens. It was good, but I expected more food for hat price. It also took about 20 Minutes to get our food (we're the only ones here). My husband's coffee also took 20 Minutes, and he had to go ask them for it. Not sure what would have happened if he didn't ask. The food is meh. The staff are not knowledgeable about the food. I asked one of the staff members what was in a few dishes and the staff member literally had to go into the kitchen every time to ask. Then I wound up just getting a few random things and they lacked flavor and didnt live up to the hype/price. Andy's is a great alternative option to the food in town. It is quick, healthy, innovative, fulfilling and delicious! (It is also impressively sanitary). Everything I've had from their juices to their food has been flavorful and creative. I overheard the new owner speaking with customers the other day and she was incredibly knowledgable and helpful with the questions asked and information provided. As a yoga instructor, I am often looking for clean eating options and feel that Andy's is truly PURE FOOD while also being full of flavor. I look forward to many more visits! read more

It gets two stars because of the healthy ingredients and the fact that it's vegan. BUT, is there anyone else here who think charging $6.75 for one muffin (and it's not a big muffin) is over the top and an lot of nerve? Yes, organic ingredients but even the fanciest of fancy organic vegan places would not charge that (I get a great one in the city for 3:50). The girl didn't even know the ingredients. Someone who was fixing up the cases knew. Organic is great but playing the "organic" card to rip people off is unethical and defeats the purpose. As a vegan baker and cook, I know how much things cost - AND, it's cheaper for a restaurant. Yes, it's upper class RYE, who may not mind being taking advantage of but it's not fair. Found this place when driving around randomly one day. Had the banana kale shake and it was delicious but it was 7 bucks! They seem to have a good vegan/raw menu and I will be back to try other items. They also seemed to have a juice cleanse program but that wasn't cheep either. Much more economical to get the veggies and juice them yourself. But this place will be a treat when I get around that way again. I'd give it 5 stars if it were a little more affordable. read more

Perhaps this is the standard for the area or for westchester (when compared to manhattan), but the vegan food here was utterly underwhelming. We ordered the "double stacked quesadilla" and there was nothing "stacked" about it - it barely had any cheese or vegetables and the vegan cheese used was very bland and mushy. We also ordered the turkey burger which was extremely dry and nestled between very bready tasteless buns - this was also very bland. At $13 each, we thought it would be a decent option when compared to the $16 per lb offering which included things like "vegan calamari" which was nothing more than hearts of palm mixed up with some onions and light dressing as well as mixed fruit (sorry but Whole Foods charges $10.95 per lb on their food and it's the same thing...you can't charge $16 per lb for some fresh pineapple and berries...). The portions were also tiny I should add. Lastly, for dessert, I purchased the bread pudding which was a small loaf for $8. When I tried it at home, I realized it was spoiled or just not properly baked - there were several foul smelling parts of the bread which were mushy and tasted terrible (might have been rotten banana or some flour not cooked through...not sure, but it was awful). I would recommend going to bare burger instead or le pain quotidian for their vegan options which taste a helluva lot better. read more

I Really want to love this place but EVERY time I come in there is an issue and for these prices (VERY high) I just can't do it anymore. First time, soup was cold. Second time they over charged me (charged me for a side of guacamole instead avocado on top of my veggie burger) third time, my veggie burger was cold. Today I ordered the "simply breakfast", supposed to be scrambled tofu or veggies, home fries, greens and sausage. I was given a plate with sautéed greens, sweet potato fries and a sausage patty. I didn't bother pointing this out because I'm too tired of having to complain every time I come in. This place was very good. As soon as you walk in you can feel and smell how fresh everything is. They have refrigerators with cold pressed juices, soups, to go meals, and desserts all made in house daily. The owner was super sweet and very hands on. She's obviously doing things in the kitchen and you can tell that she cares about her customers. My fiancé and I shared the taco salad bowl and the "turkey" burger. The taco salad bowl consisted of quinoa, guacamole, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, avocados, black beans, and vegan sour cream. It was really good. I'm not sure what the burger was made of but it was I wasn't too crazy about it. It was topped with onions and a really yummy (in my opinion) cranberry sauce that my fiancé wasn't too crazy about. This is a great place to stop after and long day of work when you do not feel like cooking. You can get a delicious and healthy vegetarian meal. I usually always get a fresh coconut too and scoop the flesh out when I get home as dessert. I've tried a few of their presses juices and but milks, all were super tasty.
