Chocolate two-layer 10'' cake with chocolate fudge frosting and raspberry added to the frosting between the layers. Delicious!

I've always enjoyed the desserts at The Range restaurants but I didn't know they also make custom cakes until I checked out the website while planning a birthday party. I ended up ordering three 10'' round cakes in three different flavors: choc cake with choc fudge frosting plus raspberry filling(my fav); strawberry cake w/ strawberry frosting and filling; and carrot cake (w/o the carrot decoration). Andres was great at helping me pick out just the right variety. An added bonus for me was that, unlike most bakeries, The Range is open on Sundays so the cakes could be picked up on the way to the birthday brunch. And the icing on the cake was that they were very reasonably priced.

While the original Range in Bernallilo remains my all time fav, I love how delicious and consistent each location is. This one is closest to my house, so I tend to come here most often. I love how quickly the food arrives, the high quality of the food and the variety. They offer lunch after 11am and have a great breakfast menu with a mix of sweet and savory offerings. I have suuuuch a bangin omelette this weekend that I can't stop thinking about. Both the hostess and servers were so lovely and attentive. And don't get me started on the cute decor, I love the cows and whimsy!

For 13 of us, the service was exceptional! Rudy, our waiter had help from his buddies in the kitchen bringing out amazing dishes. We'll be back!

We walked in Range Cafe and was seated at a booth right away. It was very convenient while we had a small toddler who needed to sit in a booster seat. Service was very prompt with everything until the end where it did slow down bc it got busier. We did order a lot of food for 3 adults and 1 child. We spent about $120 after tip. I really enjoyed my Ruby Red Grapefuit juice, and would order it again. I had to share it with my toddler. I actually finished aafter we were done eating. I didn't finish my breakfast, however, bc it was a lot of food. I added impossible chorizo patties on top of my huevos rancheros with Christmas chili. Everything tasted fantastic. I will mention that my biscuit wasn't as tall as I remembered it last time. It looked like a basic biscuit, which was a little disappointing. I did enjoy it with the jelly anand butter. We ordered a brownie to-go, and I didn't enjoy it. I've never had trouble eating brownies, either. Even my family didn't really enjoy it. :/ Overall, will come again and try other dishes, and the pastries.

Don't miss this place when you're in the Santa Ana Pueblo/Bernalilo area of New Mexico. In fact make it a point to go out of your way to get there if you have to. It is an amazing meal. We came here to try the Christmas breakfast burrito. And my friend had the Blue Corn Relleno Plate. Both were excellent probably the best chile relleno I've had in a while. The red sauce was a little too late for me a bit on the mild side and not so heavy with the red chile, but I was able to get an extra side of the green chile which more than made up for it. Tried the pickle juice bloody Mary which came with all the trimmings and was so delicious and my friend had the scotch ale. Hands down the service was excellent and attentive. Just wish we had had room for dessert. Especially when we past the bakery on the way out. The whole environment was wonderful and interesting with so many wall hangings including art for sale. The café is an institution.

Stopped in for dinner and some drinks since I hadn't been in a while. I love the decor in this spot, it's really just a fun atmosphere. It wasn't crowded and we got seated right away. Probably a good thing, since otherwise I would have been hanging out near the dessert case and they all look so good that that's never the best plan. I might forget that I intended to get a meal! The server was great about giving us time to read through the menu and make our decisions. She was also good about checking on us periodically, making sure the water glasses were full and we didn't need anything else. I got a house margarita and the relleno plate and they both hit the spot perfectly. The rellenos had a good amount of cheese and the chiles (I got mine Christmas) had a good kick to it. The margarita was a good accompaniment and definitely paired well. I need to remember to go back more often.

Wonderful lunch at range cafe!! 10% off your entree if you order a dessert before you order your meal, so I got the cream puff and it was AMAZING!! We all did the Thursday nacho special and it was delicious and a great deal! The service here is always INCREDIBLE, the staff is so sweet and kind!

Here we are again at a restaurant in Albuquerque where I just want to start off by bragging about wonderful customer service. Annemarie was amazing, bubbly, and positive! It's professional servers like this that almost make you demand yourself to return. Thanks for making our day! The atmosphere was cute, with bright colors and lots of characters to see, and a giant bar! The food was..... amazing! Darn it! I want to find something not near perfect. Sitting next to my beautiful women makes it even better! I ate the huevos rancheros. She had the carne adovada and grits. And shared a turtle caramel, apple cheesecake! O'yeah! It was great. We're talking about returning after church tomorrow! No joke!

We really enjoyed our meal here! We saw the plates were huge so we decided to share a plate. We got The Wagon with the blue corn pancakes! YUM! Had the mismosa flight as well, freshly squeezed orange juice. Nice bang for our buck. Our waitress was really nice and helped us navigate to the balloon festival! Very friendly location to enjoy brunch. Part of two we waited 35 minutes. Very chill place!

It still feels like its former incarnation as a JB's to me, but Matt DiGregory's The Range Café on Wyoming has been here for some time now. It's reliable, but it's not the first place I ever think to head. The food is usually okay but sometimes disappointing and somehow doesn't ever seem as good as at the newer EDO location (that used to be DiGregory's Standard Diner) or the original location in Bernalillo, and the room doesn't feel as nifty, either. End result is that, while this is the closest outlet of the restaurant to where I live, it's the one I visit the least. But I'd like to pay well earned respect to our terrific server Nikki, who made our lunch today feel like something special: she was patient, on-it and welcoming in such a friendly way that we are more likely to give this location another go here soon.

We ate from the border crossing past El Paso all the way to Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque. And I'm sure we missed a ton of great places, but that being said, the places we did try... yikes! We rolled the dice on this place. At first I was like, "Great, another place that is going to give us a premade tortilla and some bland combination of stuff in the tortilla..." Now look... this is not a Michelin-starred place, nor is it Michelin-recommended. It's not going to be a spiritual experience. It's not going to make you think differently about a taco, an enchilada, or anything else on their massive menu. But this place has heart, soul, and there's a lot of hustle. The tortillas are made fresh, right there behind the counter (i.e., you can literally watch them crank them out), and that makes a ton of difference. The food is honest, without pretense: fast and affordable. The ambiance is equally without pretense -- college kids, working-class folks, families, academics... The food was simple, spartan, and honest. No frills. Not extraordinary, but above average for the context. There is an ASTOUNDING amount of variety on the menu, and the combinations are infinite. I very much enjoyed my meal, I very much enjoyed the people-watching, and I very much enjoyed the experience. This was perhaps the best meal I had in New Mexico -- the cheapest, and the most memorable. If this place was a beer, it would be one of those local lager/pilsners that is as cheap as a Pabst/Coors/Miller but punches up way past the pretentious IPA scene. Thanks Frontier.

My husband thought he ordered the enchilada plate, but the chile relleno plate came out instead. He told them that was fine. The ground beef taco was so delicious. The chile relleno was pretty good, and the cheese enchiladas were okay, even though it was like they were barely there. The pinto beans, not refried beans, were also enjoyed. What really set them apart was their papas - those potatoes were soft and super flavorful. Their red sauce was spicy and flavorful. The server brought out two fresh and hot sopapillas. We poured honey on those things bite by bite. I honestly think those were the best sopapillas I've had. I also used the restroom before we left. It might need a little updating, but it was certainly clean.

My parents lived in ABQ for years and always thought that the atmosphere was great, but the food was so-so. However, on this instance, we all thought the food was quite good. Flavorful carne adovada, although it was a bit tough. Red chile sauce was spicy but had great flavor. The green chile sauce was hot and tasty. Posole was also good. The gold margaritas were also good - to anyone complaining about the price - at $14.50, the price is very fair considering the cost of ingredients. If you want a cheap junk margarita that is more sugar than anything else, go somewhere else! Our gripe... The place is huge and has an abundance of great places to seat guests. We had a pretty large group - 7 people celebrating a family reunion of sorts. However, they sat us right next to the bussing station that had noisy carts, dishwashers, and other distractions. It was so loud, it was hard to hear the person across the table. There were at least 10 other tables that they could have seated us at! It seems to me that this area should be used only when the restaurant is completely full. This seems to be a poor management decision rather than the fault of the servers or hosts.
