I've been to this diner a few times and always had a good experience. The place is nice and modern, the food has been very good, and the service has always been good as well. Unfortunately, after my experience today, I won't be back.
I came in on a Saturday morning, and I completely understand that this is a busy time for a diner. However, because I was dining alone, they refused to seat me at a regular table and told me my only option was to sit at the counter. What made this particularly frustrating was that there were several two-person tables available.
I understand wanting to maximize seating during a busy time, but refusing a customer a small table simply because they are dining alone feels like prioritizing a few extra dollars over hospitality and customer service. A solo customer is still a customer and should be treated as such.
It's very disappointing because I genuinely liked this place and had planned to keep coming back. Unfortunately, I'll take my business somewhere that doesn't make a customer feel less welcome simply because they happen to be eating alone. read more
