Thls is a good, out-of-the-way place to go watch sports in a bar atmosphere. There are TV's all over the bar area, and they'll put on any game for you while you enjoy great beers on tap, great drink specials, and good food. They have a happy hour with a lot of good choices, including a 12" two-topping pizza for $12. It's good. I thought the salad was very good but didn't remember much from the pizza. It must have just been average. It was a supreme style pizza. It felt like they had the base made and just threw cooked toppings on. It didn't have the pizza-and-toppings-in-one kind of feel and so heavily loaded I wouldn't be surprised if some ingredients fell off during consumption. The vibe was pretty good. Our server stood next to our table chatting with another employee while we had already finished our meal. Quite honestly the best pizza I've ever had. I had the Thriller on special and wish I'd gotten a bigger pizza. I might actually come back to Denver just for this. After Cider Days, we looked for a great place to have an early family dinner. I've wanted to try this place for a few years now. Parking was easy and right in the street outside the front doors. We walked in and stood at the podium waiting for someone to seat us for seven minutes. We were debating leaving and walking someplace else to eat when we were finally noticed. We were seated and our server, Taylor, brought us water and took our drink order. Taylor was an exceptional server. He was personable, professional and efficient. A+ for Taylor. I ordered fish and chips there were fabulous. The "white Christmas" pizza was really tasty as well. A tad greasy but I just dabbed off some grease with napkins. My Coors light draft beer was cold and enjoyed every drop. The only reason this isn't a five star review is that restroom was filthy and in disrepair. The toilet didn't even a back cover on it. If I had to sum this experience up in one word: nope! I would not return here. It has the ambiance of a college town bar where the lights are low to hide the fact that the space isn't very clean. Because I've enjoyed my fair share of such establishments, I readily took a seat and ordered dinner. The service was fine, but the food was blah. Brussel sprouts: they didn't have enough flavor and were too spicy for me Cheeseburger: husband says it was dry and needed more seasoning throughout. He ordered it medium and it came well-done. Fries were okay. Veggie pizza: the vegetables were too crisp/fresh (like they needed to be cooked) and there was no pizza sauce. I asked for an extra side of the marinara to dip my pizza in and what came out was flavorless puréed tomatoes. I'd noted the tomatoes on the pizza and thought they were just part of the veggie toppings. I was very disappointed to learn this was supposed to be the sauce. It truly lacks flavor. One positive: a personal pan pizza is much larger than what I'd imagine most of us think of as a personal pan. So, there was plenty of flavorless pizza to be shared with others. read more

On our annual pilgrimage to the Holiday Bazaar we decided to make The Rock part of the holiday tradition. So glad to be able to be a patron. Their dining hall has opened up to more seating (compared to last years social distancing), great music was to be heard and college football on the telly to entertain us. To make it even more perfect was the food (we shared a Classic Pizza and Apple Walnut Salad) and the service. Our waitress was very attentive and i cannot say enough how fantastic the pizza crust is. Honestly, super surprised by this spot! We live about 5 minutes away from Belmar and are always looking for new places to try. One late night, there were minimal options so we decided to finally go here. I'm SO glad we did. The service was fast and friendly, the pizza was so dang delicious, and the beers were huge. I got a specialty pizza with a few adjustments, it had roasted tomato, broccoli, pesto and onions. Such an excellent veg choice! My guy had pepperoni, sausage and ricotta. He's hard to please, and he said he was pleasantly surprised with his choice, so that's a huge win for this spot! The personal pizza is a really generous size and we both had leftovers for the next day. So don't worry about getting your moneys worth, they have you covered. I am a semi regular at this pizza house and enjoy every visit I make. They have an amazing variety of pizzas available with several different sauce options. All are delightful. The rock and roll themed restaurant is lively and comes with a fun atmosphere . There is always classic rock 'n' roll playing in the background. The service is usually very good and everybody seems to enjoy their job. The only drawback is that they do not have Bud Light on tap but offer several local craft beers instead. read more

Traveling for work and decided to try this place as it was late and not a lot of available options. I've been here once before and it was a good choice. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I sat at the bar. The bartender was here the last time I visited. He is always nice and friendly. He is serving food and also at the bar. I tried the California Dreamin' Pizza. I would say it was average for a pizza. I've heard good things about their pizza but it wasn't very flavorful and a bit over cooked. I enjoy a more meted cheese vs hard cheese. It was large inside but since it was a nice evening wanted to enjoy the atmosphere. The server was very friendly. We discussed the menu items. Got chips and cheese to start. I decided on the Money Sandwich which is Grilled chicken sautéed with garlic, white wine, pesto, sundried tomatoes, artichokes, caramelized onions, Mozzarella cheese, Feta cheese, mayo, on toasted French bread. We dropped into the Rock Wood Fired Pizza before catching a movie on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived at noon to a not so busy restaurant. Seated promptly by a friendly host. Indoor decor was great! Cool vibe and very spacious, we were commenting how we wished our local pizza place looked like this and offered such variety in the menu. Our server was quick to grab our drinks, but then sort of disappeared. He seemed spread a little thin, so it took awhile for him to come take our order. No big deal, but we were hungry and ready to order for about 10 minutes before he came back. We got onion rings to start--they were just ok. Warm out the frier but nothing special. Wish we had gone with the fried or the brown sugar bread instead. The dipping sauce with the onion rings was also just average. It was a bit challenging to get refills on our drinks. Pizzas arrived fresh out the oven but a bit inconsistent. The founder's pie was definitely cooked more than the evil ways (see pictures). I was really excited to try the evil ways but ended up being a bit underwhelmed--maybe because it was cooked so lightly? All in all, it was a fine lunch experience but nothing special this go around. Could not be more disappointed. We have grandchildren in Lakewood so we stay at the Hyatt House across the street several times a year. We have, in the past enjoyed the food here. I even have their app and have done for dining and take out. In the past, we have had their chicken tenders and wings as takeout. They have been very good. It has been several months since we have been back in Lakewood and did takeout here. Both the wings and tenders were horrible. Very overcooked and dry. I only got a pic of the tenders we got compared to what they advertise (and received in the past), but the wings were just as bad. Not sure I am going back and may just delete the app. read more
