Had rodents in the house and my previous service was being flakey. Called Jorge on a Sunday morning he showed up in a few hours. Gave me a reasonable quote (best one also), laid down some traps and did a detailed inspection. Came by a week later to dispose the trapped rodents. About 6 months later, we noticed some small mice in the garage. Jorge showed up right away (within 48 hours) found some new openings and sealead them up per his warranty (1 year) and left more traps. Then they came to pick it up 2 weeks later but they were empty. I am happy with the service but felt it was pretty expensive for the team for 15 minutes for the job for close to $600. Javier is very responsive. This is the main thing which kept us anxiety free throughout the process. His guys came in and sealed up all the entryways where rodents could come in. They set traps and came back multiple times to get rid of the catches. You just have to follow his lead and there will be no more rodent issues. He told us to keep no open food items. At first we did still leave some food out by mistake but then we put everything in boxes out of reach. Sure enough the rodents got hungry and went to the food in the traps laid out in the attic and crawl space. We do not hear any noises anymore. I have thought about writing this review multiple times and haven't done it, because I feel like the work with Rodent Busters is still ongoing -- but that's part of the problem. They came out last November to seal all entrances to the house and catch what rats we did have. They never caught any rats, and rats were still entering. I reached out again via email, phone, and text in March and had a hard time getting them to come out although they say they provide a one year warranty. They came in early April but couldn't figure out where rats were coming in from. They reset the traps and left very quickly without any discussion. I messaged again at the end of May, as rats were still getting in, and had to repeatedly follow up to get any reply. Finally, they came nearly two weeks later. Again, didn't seal anything up and didn't catch any rats. Now, it's 10+ months later and the rats have eaten into our HVAC ducts, causing me to have to replace them and have excessive electricity costs. I've reached out again and had to message twice to get a confirmed appt - 8 days after my first text this time. I'm very frustrated and wish the service had been provided correctly from the beginning. I'm not sure what the one year warranty provides when the problem was never solved to begin with, and we've now had to request three follow ups.... I will update this review if the issues are resolved. In response to the business owner: you're coming out this Saturday, per our text exchange from earlier today. You have a copy of my receipt (specifically stating "one year warranty") in your email from March 27th when I reached out for the first follow up. Edit 2: I texted them the morning they were supposed to come to find out when they'd arrive and they texted back a few minutes later to say that they were outside (at 8 am on a Saturday with no notice on timing...). They lied about what had been discussed previously, and we discovered a rat that was caught a day or two prior to their arrival. They reset the traps, left, and said they'd come back in a week. Meanwhile, nearly a week later, I had to text twice to get confirmation on when they'd come back and then they arrived early this time instead of within the timeframe communicated. They reset the traps again, added two traps and left without literally communicating a word. I texted Javier not expecting an answer too soon but I was pleasantly surprised at how fast he responded. He takes his business seriously and immediately set up an appointment to come back to my property. His brother spent time to check all points of entry to ensure that nothing could get in. He also set traps to catch any available pests and completely checked everything. I hate providing negative reviews as I'm sure this is their livelihood. However, this is my experience: First interaction and follow-up to capture the rats was fine (July 2020). They went around to sealed MOST of the entry points, and climbed on the roof too to close up vents. The rat was eventually caught and removed after 2 return visits. A few months later, I realized that they missed a crawl space vent with a hole, that was semi-blocked by our patio. I texted and heard nothing. Weeks later, there was a foul smell in our crawl space. After a laborious back-and-forth over text and my having to send a image of my receipt to Javier, he finally scheduled some time for his brother to come and fix the screen and "clean" the dead rat. I had to remove the dead rat myself as the next visit was not immediate. Now, we're slightly outside of our 1 year "warranty" and our termite inspector found a dead rat in the attic. A few days later, I heard noise in the ceiling. Whatever they did, they didn't do a complete job of and we're reaping the benefits. read more

Got my house rodent-proofed by them recently, but for what we paid, it wasn't worth it AT ALL. They added screens to vents on the roof, but in doing so, screwed holes in the roof which I then had to pay a roofer to fix so it wouldn't cause a leak in our roof. The worst part is, I would have never known he made holes in our roof had we not had the roofer come out for something else afterwards. Aside from the roof, they putty up holes on the exterior of the house which is definitely not worth the hundreds we paid. I was hearing some noises in my attic. After searching on Yelp, In the evening of 5/24/2023, I called this company and spoke to a person by the name of Javier who promised me that he will send his brother the next day around 8:00am. The next day (5/25/2023), his brother came at 7:45am. After an assessment of attic, roof, and crawl space, he found some rat droppings in the attic. He then, closed some opening in the crawl space, roof, and attics and put a few rat traps in the attic. This process took him about 3 hours. Then he told me that he will be back in 3 weeks. On the evening of 6/15/2023, exactly as promised, I received a call from Javier telling me that his brother will be at my place the next day at 8:00am. Again, his brother was at my door step a few minutes before 8:00am. I told him that I still hear some noises in the attic. He repeated the assessment of crawl space, attic, and roof which he found 3 dead mouses on traps. He then closed a few more holes in the attic walls, crawl space which took more than 2 hours. Then he told me that he will be back again in about 3 weeks. BTW, I no longer hear any noises from the attic and will update my review after he comes back to pick up the traps. Jorge Bustos came to my elderly parents home and overcharged them. The bill nearly $700.00. My dad said two people came for about 20 minutes. I looked over the job and saw that all they did was cover two holes with screen and put down three rat traps in crawl space and three traps in attic. In addition, the contract stated that they would follow up and check traps. They never did. These people took advantage of a 95 year old. read more

I would like to write something good about this team. They came to setup traps and came back 2 weeks after to find some caught rodents. After like 6 months or so, my wife heard noises again in the ceilings. I called and they came back very soon and found few more dead rodents. The Rodent busters fixed the mice problem I was having. They found the rodent the second time they came. My only complaint was he put a trap behind my toaster on my kitchen counter "gross" and he used "my" household broom & dust pan to sweep up the mice dropping from behind the stove. I had to throw it away as I cringed every time I used it after that. I have small kids in the house that could have easy touched the trap behind the toaster. Any rodent issues in the household are uncomfortable & dirty so exterminators should make it as clean as possible for customers. I would not use them again. read more

Excellent business ethic : prompt, reliable, and great follow-up. You can't go wrong with Javier. We needed someone to take a look at what was in our attic - sounded like a dragon from the sounds. ;) Contacted Rodent Busters based on previous reviews here on Yelp. Javier asked me to text him our home address to give an estimate, saying he would check it online. I thought that was quite tech-savvy, saving the trouble of coming over physically just for an estimate. He sent me an estimate within ten minutes (like I said, PROMPT!), and it was quite reasonable. He gave details on what he would do, and reminded us of the one-year warranty. I requested Javier to come at the earliest; he was able to fit us in a couple of hours out on the same day! He texted me about 30 mins before the appointment time to let us know that he was stuck in traffic, and would be slightly delayed. Wow! Once he got there, Javier and his assistant quickly surveyed the house, and immediately pointed out a few spots where the cracks were large enough for rodents to get through. His assistant then climbed on the roof, and started work on closing the cracks up there, while he worked on the bottom. They then lay some traps all over - in the attic, crawl space under the house, kitchen, laundry room etc. The whole process took less than 1.5 hours. He left saying that he would be back in about a week. Four days later, Javier *proactively* called back, asking if we would be available at 7am to check the traps. 7am - there's a knock on the door! He quickly took care of the traps (caught one each in the attic and under the house), and took the critters with him. He assured me that there were no more of them, and that though the sounds seemed like done by a much larger animal, they were just these two, from the looks of it. Javier again reminded me of the one-year warranty, and asked me to call him if there are any issues. From the looks of it so far (it's been 2-3 weeks), there are none. After speaking to Javier I became suspicious of his practice. He asked for cash upfront. Red flag #1 he said he would give a big discount if I write a review. Red flag# 2. looked up his business license number and it doesn't exist. He has my personal info and now I'm very worried what a fraudulent business will do with my personal info. I will turn them in to the city to protect others from harm. He also has another company on yelp for the Modesto area called rodent busters 2. I think this review site should do more to protect consumers from fraudulent businesses. read more

Javier responds immediately, he knows his job well and is definitely not too expensive. He comes along with another person who checks the roof and attic while Javier checks the inside of the house. Kitchen is the space he spent lots of time looking for gaps and spaces, they mesh it and close the spaces, lay traps and come back in about 7-8 days. The best part is we get a warranty for a year. The quote is given based on the type of your house. They are friendly and give tips on how to keep rats away and how these little things work around your house and how to keep them away. After researching and requesting quotes from several exterminators, Javier (owner) and his Rodent Busters came in at the most reasonable price along with some really great Yelp reviews. The others came in just ridiculously higher. Anyhow, I was on vacation that week (it was already Tuesday), and Javier said he would come in that same Thursday. The other exterminators were going to make me wait until the weekend or the following week. Javier and his guys showed up bright and early on Thursday, sealed up all of the openings the rodents may have been using, and placed traps. I'd say they did a thorough job! On the 2nd night, I literally heard the traps go off in the attack in middle of the night... I knew we got at least one. A couple of days later, Javier followed up and asked if he could come by and do a trap check. He showed up shortly, picked up the traps with the dead rats, and was off. Hey lease don't trust this company and person Javier. He visited us for the rat control think and with in 40 mins he was done with no mouse and holes repaired and charge a lot and promised to visit next day if there is a rat in house. They never showed up on their next visit and ask me to live with the rats as they can't catch them and install some random mouse trap all over my house and no rats stuck in that. When I purchased my own traps and install more than 5 rats got stuck in. Just beware of liars they are crappy people looting people money for the name of rats. read more

They gave us the best quote of all the places my sister called, so we asked them to come help us out. Javier and a coworker came on a Saturday morning a few weeks ago. They closed up all of the open vents from the outside that leads into the house. They set up their own traps in the attic, in the garage, on the roof, and other various places in the house. After an hour and a half, Javier told us he'd be back in a few days to check the traps. Three days later, he came back. Thank God I found Roden Busters Pro on Yelp! Few weeks ago I started to hearing scratching sounds day and night above my bedroom. At first, I thought some wild animal or neighbor's cat running by on the roof. But then it got more frequent and louder, always at the same area. I had a rat problem with rats some how climbing into the attic on the second floor. I had spent months trying to control them, using video cameras to track them on my roof and see how they were entering.
