Sandra the owner is a scam as well as the entire vendor team she forced to pay for . The securities were not visible the entire night. The Dj was taking cases of beer and bottles to the office to hide them. Sandra thinks she can talk to people however she pleases the world does not revolve around you lady. Learn how to communicate like a professional not coming in screaming at everyone. Who do you think you are? She had us pay thousands for extra hours and we didn't even get the full time because she ended our party early. You have no compassion or empathy for our special day you should be ashamed of your behavior. Don't go here save your money and the headache. A fight broke out at our event which yes we do take responsibility for the guests BUT the security could have prevented this from happening but instead CHOSE to laugh at the situation happening. I reported an argument that was going on to the security and the valet ppl and they ignored the situation and just stood at the gate laughing and making jokes. On top of this they take it upon themselves to make a YouTube video about the situation to profit from it with no regards to the bride and groom! This is very unprofessional! My Mom found this rental company on TikTok. The dessert table we seen advertised was so pretty and rustic looking- it perfectly matched my baby shower theme of woodland nature. I found them on instagram (a little difficult to find, use the link on their tiktok if you see it!) & I reached out with about 3 weeks notice. They responded within a few hours & next thing I knew, my deposit was paid and my balloon colors were picked. They were quick to send me a copy of my invoice and I was able to pay through Venmo, which was convenient. They delivered the table the day before (perfect for our set up time) and came back the day of to add fresh balloons and a custom made name sign for my baby. It came out better than I'd hoped and we got so many compliments on it! Note that delivery was about $50 additional, but table was super simple to set up and arrange. If you are considering booking, I strongly recommend reading all reviews, including the negative ones, to get a comprehensive understanding of their services. I made the mistake of only reading the positive reviews and regretted it. The issues I experienced were consistent with the complaints mentioned in the negative reviews. It is essential to be aware that the staff, including Sandra, seem to prioritize their own interests over the needs of their clients. My experience was marred by constant changes to the contract, poor communication, and unfulfilled expectations. The vendors they recommended were not satisfactory, and I ended up having to find my own caterer, and florist. The valet service was also a disaster, with two of my guests' cars being broken into. (Which they have not tried to fix or contact any of the guest or even myself to come up with any sort of solution) since the valet was contracted by them. When I reached out they told me to take it up with their Valet service. I would caution against using their valet service and recommend exploring other options for your event. In hindsight, I wish I had never hired them, and I would advise others to avoid this venue altogether. read more

Above all, they are a total joke for an "event planning business". I had my wedding here October 1st, 2022 and it was the worst experience ever! There are so many situations that came up working with this "business" that I can let everyone know about but just to give you an idea, you can look through all the attached photos. You can also get an idea of how she speaks to her clients. I've shared my experience with brides who've been thinking about booking them so many times already and thought it's easier to just share pictures so those who are considering can judge for themselves, but please do yourself a favor and walk away! It's not worth all the stress and uncertainty that it'll bring. All the negative things I have to say have to do with the owner Sandra. While her team does lack the skill sets needed for this type of work, I believe that without her they would be much better off... even tough it's a family "business" and she's the mom.. they should fire her. Her children try their best but she doesn't keep them in the loop about contracts or anything having to do with clients except when she needs them to setup and breakdown for events. Sandra is a conniving witch. She makes so many promises but ends up breaking them. She takes such a special moment in one's life, ruins it, and doesn't care. In all honesty, I wanted to trust her so bad because as you can see that in the beginning we were struggling with venues because of the pandemic. I recently had my event here, I had such high hopes that this would become my families go to place for events. Unfortunately, I was let down so hard that I genuinely never want to host a big event ever again. Every recent negative review I read here represents my experience completely. It was absolutely horrible. Sandra, the owner, promises a beautiful event and does everything in her power to convince you that your event will be magical. I really think she believes herself when she says this. She delivered the beautiful event that met her standard rather than the one I paid for and finalized with her team. The day of staff was nice, but they are kids who have no clue how to support. The staff is just that, staff, not an expert in the field. Not the staffs fault, but know what you're getting and that is a lot of unfulfilled promises. Here is a breakdown of my issues... 1. Venue- Sandra convinced me to switch my location 2 weeks before my event from Farm House to the new El Monte venue. I was very Skeptical about this change because the El Monte venue is so large and I didn't have more money to invest in decor in such a short time. Sandra promised that she would fill the space and give me 16 tables to allow my guest a more comfortable experience. The day of the event I found that I not only had 11 tables, but I explicitly requested Barn tables and ended up with a random round in the center. Plus the lack of decor that I had to push for the day before my event. 2. Planning- everyone refused to finalize or invest time discussing my event until the week of my event. This is incredibly stressful already, but then I was contacted 4 days prior to my event to be notified that my plate settings broke during transfer so they would be making changes. I obviously wanted the team to provide me with alternative options. Instead, everyone had a condescending tone with me as if they are doing me a favor and I'm being an ungrateful entitled brat. To the point that the staff was not returning my calls but stating that if I didn't make a decision on plate setting within 30min then no one would be available to set up. Yet they were not taking my calls. 3. Flowers- I confirmed with the florist what I wanted and I was charged $75 to get an arrangement with 4 pink roses (I wanted white peonies) 1 hydrangea and a ton of greenery. When I asked Sandra why the flowers were different and she proceeded to attack me and say that I had agreed to this and that the centerpieces were beautiful. I continued to ask why they changed she just continued to say they are beautiful and refused to acknowledge my questions. 4. The day of event, she was no where to be found and I have at least 50 messages from her the morning of event which were all very condescending, and continued to state that I was getting so much more than what I paid for because she put her lawn games out. Nice gesture, but maybe the focus should be on what I paid for. I also have about 50+ messages of threats starting at 10:50pm about my event end time (originally 12, then turned into 11pm day of event) and when I need to be out of the venue. Sandra even sent me pictures of 1 car that was parked on the driveway outside of the venue gates and said she would charge me the extra hour because that is her property too. There are more issues that I can outline, but won't. I spent the entire night crying because I just wanted her abusive texts to stop, but they continued till about 1am. Nothing about this experience was pleasant and if it wasn't for my family who stepped in, I would have missed my entire event. If you are on the fence, I would say stay away from this company. Sandra seems kind at first, but once she has your money, she is only interested in concluding your event at the lowest cost to her as possible. Communication sucks and good luck trying to get them to respond to anything in an email. They purposely discuss everything on the phone so that you have no proof of anything. read more

I am beyond pleased with my wedding expectations, everything was really beautiful Ashley did an amazing job with my flower decoration. Sandra is such an amazing energized soul, she is such a beautiful individual with so much imagination and goes way overboard with perfectionist details. Dillon was super attentive all night if we needed anything he was there, bringing us drinks, and food. The entire Family business is awesome I really enjoyed my special day. I had so many great compliments of my event. Remember all events can be stressful and not everything comes as planned but with a positive energy everything flows in the right direction. I was originally going to have my wedding at the farm house and did not want to move my venue, because I already had envision my wedding there, me coming out of the farm house for the ceremony was a must and having my venue outside really matter for me, but honestly I am glad my venue was at el Monte. Loved how everything came out! we were feeling overwhelmed with the wedding planning and we were about to give up till we found The Rustic Chic. I was sold on the one stop shop and the beautiful venue. The planing prices went great and was easy! Sandra offered us an amazing opportunity to switch our venue over from the Bell Gardens location to the El Monte location. We were happy with our first venue but The new venue was larger and indoor/outdoor. It ended up raining on our wedding day so it truly saved us having both options available. We used the outdoor patio space for our ceremony which was then converted to a fun game/lounge area. We had our reception indoors which was very spacious and comfortable. It had an amazing bar area as well. On the day of everything went smoothly and I noticed so many extra details that I didn't expect that just made everything feel so romantic. Do not book your event with them! For starters they definitely do the classic bait and switch. The main lady is nice and enthusiastic before you sign the contract but she quickly changes. At times She is Rude And condescending! She can easily stress you out. They have hidden fees if you attempt to set up a day before! Btw it's $350 for an hour? And they do not tell you before! They asked our DJ and band to Lower the music due to a church close by but there was actually another event with loud music close by. No church in sight! They also didn't let us park near the venue due to construction but once again no construction near by. They probably do not have permits to operate the warehouse as a venue! It is a nice place but unfortunately the people that run it can easily ruin the whole experience and possibly your event! If you really want a memorable and stress free day Do not book them! We definitely do not recommend at all! I'm sure there's many more customers that went through the similar situation as us however it seems like it's easy to pay Yelp to remove an honest review. It has taken me quite sometime to write this review for various reasons. We worked with Sandra and her team for a year a few months before our wedding date. in the begining her and her team were easy t get a hold of and would answer my questions. Once we paid our wedding in full (5 months early in cash) we began to struggle to get our questions answered. Sandra made so many promises and did not pull through for most of them. At first it felt like this was a perfect match, finding a wedding planner that provided everything in house, unfortunately there is such a thing of its too good to be true. I was very disappointed because I thought that Sandra was a genuine person. The original food vendor we book our food with got changed due to a fallout between Sandra and them. When I asked if we could still use them she said yes but she would not be there for the day off (which makes things complicated as she was the planner). We opted to go with another vendor and I had to cook a portion of the food because this wasn't we wanted to serve our guest. Sandra gave us her word that we were going to have a taco guy for the night cap for our guest and us to enjoy. Sandra left our wedding reception early and no taco man showed up. When I asked her staff they had no idea and ordered little Cesar's pizza instead. As you can imagine I was very frustrated because this was not what we agreed upon. I chose to get my cake done with an outside baker and I was promised that the cake could be dropped off the night before the wedding, when my cake person arrived they told her there was no space ( after I called and literally cried) they made an exception to store the cake. Our ceremony was supposed be done all in the same location as a our reception and a week prior we were given noticed that it would have to me moved due to local carnival and it would be too much noise. So we moved the reception to a local hotel and Sandra assured us we would have a hotel room paid for and that I could get ready there. When we arrived there was no room and I had to pay for it myself. The ceremony was chaotic with the sounds of traffic on the street, the microphone kept cutting off. We paid extra to have a light up low sign at our reception and it was not there. I would not recommend this vendor to anyone, if its sounds to good to be true it probably is. I was so disappointed in their service and lack of follow through. They put a bad taste into a day that should have been perfect. read more

My granddaughter recently had her sweet sixteen party this past weekend at the Commerce venue. The place from the outside doesnt look like much but when you go inside, it is cute. With the decor and the theme my granddaughter picked, everything just matched perfectly. My only complaint is that the staff did not come around to pick up the platea after dinner.
