    Longanisa Silog (gf)
    Janny W.

Lechon Sisig Carbonara Mac was creamy, rich, and surprisingly delicious, never thought of that combo, but it works! The Longanisa Silog was also tasty, and I loved the vinegar garlic dipping sauce that came with it. The egg was cooked perfectly. A couple of downsides to my experience at The Sarap Shop: first, the storefront was quite hard to locate. I had to circle around the block to find it. Second, I wasn't a fan of being charged for utensils. The shop itself has a very simple, garage-like vibe with just a few tables and chairs. I ended up taking my food to go, so I didn't get to experience dining in.

vegan plate from catering- pancit, jackfruit kinilaw, tofu sisig, laing (my favorite), veggie lumpia

My office had catering from here and it was SO GOOD. They had a ton of vegan options- I tried the pancit, jackfruit kinilaw, laing, tofu sisig, and veggie lumpia. Would HIGHLY recommend the laing, it's taro leaves cooked in coconut milk, I had never tried it before and now I'm obsessed. Lumpia and tofu sisig were also extremely extremely good. Pancit was decent but not as impressive as the other options, and I was not a huge fan of the jackfruit kinilaw. Would definitely love to come in person and try the regular menu.

Located on the side of a bridge over pass kinda hidden away actually, but not too hard to find. This spot has been a great choice for lunch recently serving comfort Filipino food! Been here twice so far and I've tried the adobo pork belly bowls as well as the lechon sisig and both were very flavorful. Meat was juicy tender and had a good blend of savory to vinegar-y flavors to offset the fattiness of the meat! Definitely trying the other things on the menu in the future

The little shop is tucked away in an alley, and the employee (maybe the owner) was really nice and welcoming -- true Filipino hospitality. They had a few seats inside, but I got my food to go. The lechon sisig rice bowl with pickled veggies was super delicious. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Yep yep yep! The sisig mac n cheese carbonara... WOW. YUM. Would order again from this place just for that. It was so flavorful, garlic heavy I have to say, but the sisig combo with the Mac n Cheese. Fireeeeee!!! I always saw signs for this place or seen it at chase stadium but never had the chance to try it. Although I have tried their halo halo milk tea through local kitchens a while back, ordered it again this time around and still bomb as heck. Normal SF pricing though. Halo halo milk tea was on the pricey side for it being a bottled drink. I wouldn't say location is in the best spot, but it is pretty easy to find. Street parking.

I came here with a friend one day for lunch (we had been looking forward to coming to Sarap Shop for a while and were finally able to align our schedules for a weekday, since the hours here are somewhat limited). I ordered the lechon carbonara since all of the dishes here with lechon appeared to be a popular choice online and this seemed like interesting take on dishes that were familiar to me, a fusion of Italian carbonara and Filipino lechon. To be honest, the dish was a tad too oily and salty for my preferences, but also so tasty! I ended up finishing most of it and bringing the rest home since it was a generous portion and a good balance of toppings/mix-ins and noodles. I'd look forward to ordering it again in the future. The location was a bit... uncertain at first. Sarap Shop is located down a side street off of 4th St which is convenient if you're heading down to a game or concert. I went there from 3rd St and was a bit confused since it just looked like a residential area, but there it was! The red garage door (see other people's pics) was open so the business was indeed open, but my friend and I were confused at first since there was no one inside and it took a moment to realize we needed to order by QR code online. That was all fine, just a bit unexpected. (Other customers and delivery drivers that came in after us looked similarly confused by all the closed doors and closed serving windows inside, so perhaps they just need better signage for these cases?) Overall a good experience and I look forward to another visit here and the chance to try something new :)

I came here because my friends picked the place. I wasn't feeling Filipino food so I was hard to please but after I got my Lechon Sisig Rice Bowl, I was was amazed. I eat out quite a bit so I am picky but my meal made me want to come back and tell all my friends about it. We met one of the the owners and he was very nice. Told us about the history of the restaurant and how they started off as a food truck. Here is what we ordered: Lechon Sisig Rice bowl...this is what I ordered. I was expecting Very fat pieces of pork but it surprisingly wasn't. Good quality pieces of meat and very flavorful. There were some pickled cauliflower that helped balance the meal. Very Vegan Sisig Rice bowl...made with tofu. I'm more of a meat gal but this was also surprisingly good. Tofu was fried but didn't taste too oily. Lechon Sisig Carbonara Pasta: also equally yummy. If you like cheese, this it for you. Parking was easy and plentiful. Would definitely come back.

Was kind of hesitant to come here at first.. I'm so glad I did. Ordered pork adobo, so good, meat's falling off,the gravy is Savory. Who would've thought a pickled cauliflower would taste that good..Also the fried okra, oh so yummy.. I'll order fried okra by itself if they have.. The seasoning was just right. I have the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, James. Such a down to earth person. You folks need to check this place out. If you want your Filipino cravings to be satisfied, you guys need to give them a shot. Filipino dish with a twist. Trying their other menu next time. I will update this review as I try their other menu. I wasn't disappointed for giving it shot. I'm sure you folks won't be too.. Come see them!!! Thanks again The Sarap Shop.

Went today to try the debut of Kelenna's cornbread. Tried Ube and caramel. Got to meet him there too. Sarap shop staff are nice. Got to order other on the menu as well like their mac and cheese with pork sisig, picadillo and the halo halo milk tea. All yummy!

Cool little spot with some seating outside the front. Restaurant is hidden inside the streets of Stillman, but can easily be found by following their big street signs outside. The ordering system is quite simple and easy to navigate via QR code on their signs. Food is hot and fresh when I got it. Very tasty and would recommend for a hip restaurant to go to.

    Nicole V.

Hidden gem on Stillman Street. The location is right next to the freeway on ramp. Not many places to sit, so order take away and enjoy some of the beautiful urban gardens nearby. They have delicious Filipino fusion food. Sisig and Adobo sandwiches, shanghai lumpia and veg noodles! They also have yummu gluten and plant based options! Loved every bite of Sarap Shop! The name of this takeaway place is spot on!

    Lechon Sisig Carbonara Mac

I ordered the Lechon Sisig Carbonara Mac, Chicken Lumpia, and Halo Halo Milk Tea--all delicious! The service was warm, welcoming, and prompt. Very cozy location (definitely a hidden gem). Looking forward to more visits!

All that was missing was the hella big wooden spoon and fork. J/k! And, hospitality was on-point from the lone Latina server. She was so sweet. The food? OOF. Mestiza serves Filipino Fusion Cuisine and is very vegan friendly. Beer, wine, and low abv soju-based cocktails available. I've enjoyed the food at their OG location on Bryant so I don't know if it was a very off day and/or they changed the recipes....because the food completely missed the mark. * Steak Fries w/ sinigang spice ($7) One of the two highlights of our meal, the fries were hot and crunchy. The sinigang spice just tasted like regular salt tho...no tang. * Lechon Bites w/ toyomansi glaze, atchara ($14): https://tinyurl.com/4k9j97am Bummed that this didn't look like older pics of actual "lechon" (fried pork belly cubes). It was more like pork jerky - dry and tough with a thickish, salty soy and calamansi glaze. * Bistek Silog Steak w/ garlic rice, jammy egg ($36): https://tinyurl.com/4crrrh7m - Requested medium rare The plating was beautiful and they nailed the steak's medium-rare temp. The star of the dish tho? The garlic rice - perfectly savory, fragrant, and packed with garlicky flavor. The sirloin (I think) was a let down. It seemed like it was sliced with the grain, making it hella chewy. The signature salty-sour flavor was quite mellow. As for the eggs, they were more medium-well than the jammy. * Pancit Canton w/ seasonal veggies (Side-$8) Great plating and huge portion for the price. Unfortunately, the noodles lacked both chew and flavor. As I was packing up the leftovers, I noticed a pool of soy sauce at the bottom of the container. It seemed like the hot noodles + veggies where tossed with the sauce instead of properly stir-frying everything together. * Super Green Laing w/ collards, kale, cabbage, and taro ($7) Again, I appreciate the generous portion for the price but even for Pinoy Fusion, it didn't remind me of laing. It came across more like a miso soup with greens thrown in. The broth was cloudy and started to separate as it sat, and it was missing the rich, creamy coconut flavor that I usually expect from laing. S E R V I C E Warm, welcoming, and attentive. Recently, I've been a regular in the area for the WNBA Golden State Valkyries games. After an okay experience inside the arena during Warriors season, we were disappointed to learn a few weeks later that the menu pivoted and we did not enjoy it. I suggested trying here and the line was relatively short with only four people ahead of us for the line to the order stations. There are two iPad screens and a gentleman on the counter would occasionally accept order from the waiting customers in line. We used the right iPad and ordered a burrito to share. After placing our order and my friend paying for it, we walked towards the left wall (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=0fy2Fh-Q2N9LVyvUK5PAUw) and saw two water stations under the Thrive City mural. We waited along the wall as the expediting station was just before the wall. There are cups provided at the water station so my friend and I each got a cup and I grabbed some napkins. After about 8 minutes, our order was called and my friend claimed it. We walked back to the outside dining area as all seats and tables inside were occupied. A kind gentleman at a 4-seat table kindly allowed us to share the table with him. Not wanting to eat too much before the game, we shared the California Sisig burrito, pork, requesting on our order that it be cut in half; our burrito was comprised of pork, French fries, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Here is a photo of my half (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=8-67jjaNjmA_nRVaWdrySw). I requested a complimentary tomatillo salsa (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=1gtm20H4kvvYMB_pEFNVOg) on the side which I poured onto my burrito intermittently as I ate. I enjoyed that it was tasty yet not messy or wet. That is one of my peeves, when burritos leave my hands dripping from the sauces from the burrito. My friend enjoyed hers and we agreed that we would dine here again. We arrived relatively early (5:30 pm for a 7 pm game) yet the restaurant was full. As we left a little before 6 pm, the line spanned to about 15-18 people. Since we used the iPad station, there was no interaction with staff other than picking up the burrito. I mentioned to one the expediters that one of the water station was running low. A few minutes later, he refilled it fully. This is a good option if you're craving Mexican items with a Filipino spin but I recommend coming early if you don't want to wait too long.

The adobosilog was good, and the portion size was just right, although the price felt a little high for a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The garlic fried rice was disappointing because I couldn't really taste any garlic and it tasted more like plain fried rice. The pork adobo was tender and easy to eat. When our food arrived, we were genuinely surprised by the portion size--there were two huge, crispy pork chops, especially impressive considering the meal was only around $8. My partner absolutely loved it and thought it was an amazing value. If you're a fan of crispy, fried comfort food, this is definitely a satisfying meal. For me, though, it was a bit too greasy, and the seasoning tasted heavier than I personally prefer.
