Classy ambience and the waitstaff was kind but our particular server was a bit slow and clueless. Some items were excellent while others fell short. Definitely recommend the beet salad to start and lamb chops for dinner. Lobster dishes were a fair price for the amount of meat but not overly flavorful. The bar area is also vibrant. I was looking for a special experience for Mothers Day. I was intrigued by their decor and main menu. Apparently they changed the menu u to pre fixe. I asked several times to email the menu and I got nothing. I figure how bad can it be. Its beautiful decor and staff was great. Went there for my birthday, we went a bit late 8:45pm so ambience was great and quiet, place looks very nice and well decorated. Food and drinks were good, a bit on pricey side but nothing crazy. Service was a bit slow, because was late and place was almost empty , there's no reason for service to be that slow, I think only one server was working which makes it hard to serve correctly the whole room even if it was almost empty. I was super excited to give this restaurant a try! When I arrived I parked in the lot. I walked into a really nice restaurant where they also do weddings. They had Valentines Day room as well, which was supercute for the holiday. We were sat by a really nice hostess. Patrick was my server, and he was awesome! Billy, the manager, also introduced himself, and he was great. We started with appetizers, and I got the mussels, and my friend got the bacon and the crab cakes. We also had drinks that were the Raspberry Pizz Fling and the old fashioned. I really enjoyed the old fashioned but I didn't enjoy the mussels because the sauce wasn't great to me. I changed it to the clams, which were great. We then had our entrées of the Branzino and the shrimp scampi. My friend wasn't too fond of the Branzino because it needed a bit more seasoning. I really enjoyed the shrimp scampi dish. The sides of the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were good as well. We then finished with dessert of the cookie skillet and the lava cake. Today we had a chance to visit Santa's Hide Away in Spring Lake! We had the most delicious dinner in one of New Jersey's most festive holiday restaurants. Sea Crest Grille is a fabulous restaurant, we love it here! Every time we dine at this restaurant it is a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The Manager Kiernan welcomed us warmly and checked on us throughout the evening. He strives to create memorable experiences for guests, making them want to return over and over again. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, insta-worthy with a cozy and classy ambience that really enhances the entire experience. Our dinners were delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The thick cut bacon was to die for and the smoky presentation was exquisite. Our tomahawk steak was impressive, a feast for the eyes and palate. It was tender, flavorful, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The truffle parmesan fries and pecorino creamed spinach made the perfect accompaniments to this scrumptious meal. Last but not least was our served table side bananas foster. It was a dramatic dessert presentation with a theatrical flair of captivating flames with warm and sweet flavors. Came for Mother's Day dinner which turned out to be a prefix menu only. Was very surprised how empty it was. Was very disappointed with the options. The prefix menu was in no way a representation of their regular menu. On the regular menu there are so many seafood options: lobster, scallops, branzino, haddock, snow crab legs, clams, oysters, tuna (taken from website menu). All that and on the prefix menu there were 2 seafood options - coconut shrimp as an appetizer and salmon as an entree. So I would avoid this place during any holidays as the regular menu has so much more variety. Also the quality was just super low. A majority of our food came out cold/room temperature. It gave me an impression like everything was pre cooked and stuck on a plate then served. It was not worth $60 per person. For apps had coconut shrimp, bruschetta, and ravioli. Coconut shrimp were big, thinly breaded and came with a nicely balanced sweet sauce. Bruschetta was well toasted with a good mix of tomatoes, onions, and balsamic vinegar but nothing impressive. Ravioli was cold and sauce was bland. For entrees did the beef, pork, and salmon. The beef was not edible for me, very chewy and cold as ice. Sides: Sweet potato puree and Brussel sprouts were better than the beef. Brussel sprouts were my favorite, good char. Salmon was cooked well, very flaky with a yummy sweet sauce on top. Sides: Asparagus and mushrooms stuffed w broccoli & tomatoes were good but not hot. The pork itself was my favorite. It was cooked perfectly. It was the only hot item of the whole meal so seemed like it was made fresh. Tasted like it was basted in some sweet sauce that was delicious. Sides: Asparagus and parmesan covered potatoes were eh. For dessert did the flourless chocolate cake, cheesecake, and cookies with ice cream. Flourless cake was very dense with a low quality chocolate. Cheesecake was good only with the berries. By itself it was a bit sour. Cookies were good when you put ice cream on it to make them softer. My Santos tequila soda was well made and so was the may drink of the month Hot Honey Passion Fruit Margarita. The service was 10/10, Morgan thank you so much for the great service. Very attentive and caring. Other staff were so kind. Helped finding our way around since the restrooms are near the event rooms. The decorations were gorgeous, they had a fairy theme. I recently had brunch and drinks at The Seacrest Grill at the Shore Club! They have transformed a whole section of their restaurant and bar into Cupid's Hideaway! While you dine on brunch or dinner, they have the cutest Valentine's Day decorations to admire while you sit by their warm and cozy fireplace. They did something similar for Christmas as well. To get yourself in the holiday spirit, you have to get the Valentine's Day themed drinks like the Flirty Shirley Fizz and the Raspberry Fizz Fling! At brunch we had a tasty and light chicken Caesar wrap, a mouthwatering veggie omelette, and sweet and tasty chunky monkey pancakes with Nutella! Everything was delicious and it was so hard to decide what to order off the menu. They also have a very impressive dinner menu for you to check out! The sides we ordered were great - mac and cheese, fries, mashed potatoes, spinach. And everyone's steak was cooked to perfection. We had a ribeye, filet mignon and strip. The service here was also great. I noted on the reservation that we were here for a birthday and they added fun sparklers to the desserts. Additionally, there was a mixup with one of the drinks and they made sure to remove it from the bill. All around my family and I had a great experience here. The food was very good. I got the tuna and it was cooked perfect. The goat cheese and beet salad was delish. My sister got the shrimp with crab pasta and it was very good and rich. My other sister got the salmon with vegetables and it was good perfectly and so fresh. We were offered complimentary smoked bacon. In addition the drinks were pretty good. I got a holiday margarita and asked for it a little less sweet. My sister got the tiramisu martini and it was delicious. Mother's Day Dinner 2025 Drinks had little to no alcohol. They were tasteless. App Plate had food on it and was placed on table for use. One hour after sitting we got our first app. Second app was incorrect. When second app arrived, picture a pile of arugula with pecans on top. Sliced Beets (on side) had no seasoning. Just sliced beets. Dressing was on side. Tasteless. An hour and half later we received our four entrees. There were two orders of truffle pasta. No truffle taste. No one came to table to ask if we wanted cheese or black pepper on top. We had to ask for parm cheese and red pepper. This is not a pizzeria. It's a restaurant. 3 servers for Mother's Day. Three. We wanted a holiday themed and decorated restaurant and heard about this place last year, but the reviews were always mixed. Made a reservation and checked out the hideaway to see all the decorations-- super crowded and the heat was blasting. We learned you couldn't get dinner there from the bartender, just small plates so we kept our reservation. Upon walking in, there was no host anywhere to be seen. We walked in more and a server said they would get someone for us. She seated us in the back corner away from everyone but it was way too dark there and no working lamps. She moved our seats. We waited for a while and no one came over. In the 15 minutes it took for the hostess to come over and give us water, I noticed the serving staff complaining to each other and clearly pissed off. We tried to be understanding and patient. The hostess poured our water and literally put a drop in, come on who drinks that little water we had to either ask for more or have a pitcher left at our table. Again, I saw the hostess with a woman, a server and the male server by the kitchen door clearly complaining to each other about something. To me it was just really unprofessional. Another 10 minutes or so go goes by and the server comes over to us and we're ready to order - we asked for the steak and they were out of it. It's 5:00! Just so many things going wrong before we even were able to order our drinks. Clearly they are short staffed and unhappy. A lot of things went wrong in our experience, we left and went somewhere else. The server didn't even seem surprised when we said we were leaving... Honestly, one of the most beautiful restaurants when you first walk in! The bar is gorgeous, plenty of seating with the marble top and as soon as you walk in, it's stunning! The restaurant manager and even the bartender were all so helpful when it came to us ordering our drinks and food and also gave some amazing suggestions. The drinks were all to die for. I mean one after the other it just couldn't get any better. And all so creative and nothing like I've had before. I cannot wait to go back for happy hour just for the drinks! The food: really good! We ordered a lot of full; the portions are excellent but we were so full. Some of our favorites were the table side bacon, the scallops and the cookie skillet! We had mixed feelings about our dinner here. Most of the food was GREAT (truffle mac n cheese, flatbread, shrimp scampi) but we were disappointed with the lackluster skirt steak. It had no flavor/seasoning despite being slathered in chimichurri sauce. It also happened to be overcooked. The dining room is classy/attractive but a bit stark and not cozy at all. No salt/pepper on any of the tables. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly but also too casual/unprofessional. It was a bit like the Wild West the night we were there. Our server told us she was having a bad night and unfortunately it showed. Another server caught eyes with us and rolled her eyes about the table she'd just been to. It was strange behavior for sure! I think Sea Crest is punching above their weight...if you're going to charge these kinds of prices, then you've got to back it up with the proper atmosphere and service. What a nice place in Spring Lake. My boyfriend surprised me with date night here last Saturday and it was wonderful. I loved the ambience inside the main dining room. It has beautiful chandeliers and is perfectly lit. We started with the buffalo mozzarella strawberry salad. It was so delicious! (sorry forgot to take picture we were so hungry). lol. My pork chop was cooked to perfection and had a gorgeous presentation. It was so juicy and seasoned perfectly. My boyfriend had the bacon and cheese steak burger and said it was incredible! I tried a bite and I have to agree it was pretty damn good. lol. It also came with fries. Our server was very friendly and made for a pleasure dining experience. I was excited to try a new place... reservation for 7:15, arrive and waitress looks at us like she didn't know what to do, they had 2 big tables and maybe 4 small ones, rest of the tables were empty. Ok, so maybe not enough staff so behind... she escorts us to the bar and says she will seat us soon. Half hour later, bartender senses our disappointment and tries to assist. Finally who I think was the manager says we can sit at our table. We are seated and open our menus only to find them empty... waited for someone to come to the table for 10 minutes and then decided to find an alternate reservation. Wasted 45 minutes and it was disappointing. The fact that they still show open reservations on open table for the time table we were there is discernible... they couldn't even sit us, a party of 2. The Seacrest Grille is more than just a restaurant. It is an experience!  Our girls night started with incredible drinks and from there we moved into the main restaurant space. Nothing disappointed. For appetizers we had the apple smoked thick cut bacon, saffron mussels, burrata and bramble, crab cakes, tuna tartare, and the wild mushroom and arugula flatbread. I absolutely loved everything - especially the Flatbread, Burrata and Crab Cakes. I would come back for the burrata alone! For main entrees I ordered the apricot salmon which came with a side of green beans. I also tried out the truffle mac and cheese. The portion was perfect and I felt so satisfied with both the app and entree alone. It was hard to find room for dessert but we had to try it out! The Sea Crest Grille specializes in a tableside bananas foster. I love a warm dessert coupled with cold ice cream, if you are like me then definitely try it out. Place blows! We ordered the bacon and the fried calamari. The calamari was hardly even coated in breading, the bacon was decent and had good flavor. Pretty much didn't eat any of the calamari, the marinara it came with for dipping was tasteless and watery. Absolutely gross. For dinner we ordered the skirt steak. Tasted like it had freezer burn prior to being cooked. The chimichuri was super oily. The brussel sprouts weren't cooked thoroughly, still hard in middle. The mashed potatoes weren't bad. Our waitress and the hostess were very friendly and nice. Then we sat down to eat. We asked about the oysters, and we received conflicting answers; should've been the red flag. Got a reservation based on the menu you find on Open Table. Was blindsided when I arrived to find a completely different menu. Expecting to find Coquille St. Jacques, Oysters Rockefeller, and Beef Wellington. Was greeted with tuna tacos, short rib sliders, and a juicy burger. Not what I was expecting. Despite this, the drinks were excellent, the food well prepared and seasoned, and our waitress (Chelsea) was friendly, knowledgeable, and outgoing. I don't know if the change is due to Covid simplification or an attempt to be a more casual shore dining place, but restaurants should make an effort to keep their menus on Open Table up to date. read more

We had a holiday cocktail at the bar, which was tasty and festive, but that's where the good went to bad. After another 20 minutes went by, we still haven't got our bottle of wine, then we get the calamari. It seriously was the worst calamari we've ever had, obviously frozen, just tasted terrible. At this point I'm done, called the first person I could finally grab and said we're out of here. We had a nice evening here but as a steakhouse it comes up short. The place is very nice and comfortable. The service was very good. The appetizers (Caeser salad and Frenc onion soup) and dessert (chocolate chip cookie in skillet) were very good. However, the meat was just OK. I had the 24 oz porterhouse. I like the presentation(on a butcher block) but the steak was very thin. I asked for Medium rare plus and it was cooked well but with such a thin steak it comes out more like medium to just above. There was no juice at all in the steak. The seasoning on the steak was very mild if any. The flavor was just OK. Nothing special. My wife had the lamb chops and had the same reaction. No juice at all and the flavor was just OK. I can make a much better steak at home. There are many restaurants (i.e. Gabriellas) that make a much better steak. read more

I went for dinner last night with my husband. We had dined here previously around Christmas 2023 and it was fantastic. This time was very different. The drinks we ordered were delicious, however the food was just not good. Honestly terrible. There was no flavor, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were made with sweetened coffee creamer, and the consistency was overwhipped. I remember looking around at all the empty tables and wondering what had changed from last year when it was packed at 6:30 pm. It's hard to believe the drastic difference in the quality of the food. Good food and attentive service, but a few things to take into consideration when dining here. One of the entire walls of the restaurant is floor to ceiling windows, and from 7-8pm the sun is shining directly in your eyes if your seat is facing this wall (which will be 50% of guests). They don't have any curtains or blinds to shield the sun, so would recommend coming before or after this timeframe if you don't want to be squinting through the first part of your meal. The coffee machine was on the fritz so they almost weren't able to make a cappuccino, and when they eventually did it was very bitter.
